  • Insurance Companies and investment firms have been leeching off the people of Florida. They have paid politicians to let them go unchecked and have become parasites in our market. We need to take back control of our homes, and regain fiscal freedom. The politicians who have let the greedy corporations run rampant are afraid to stand up to their executive donors. Vote Ben Braver and I will fight for you, I am not afraid to get the firms stealing your money off your back.

Crazy, I bought my house directly through the builder in 2022 on my salary.

It's not an artificial bubble. These high prices make perfect sense because they print so much damn funny money. Expecting anything else is absurd. Everybody waiting for a bubble to burst and housing to become affordable again is sadly mistaken.

It absolutely is though. It's artificial because these rich investment firms are buying up real estate as soon as it becomes available and then they can set rent to whatever the hell they want. It's a huge problem that is happening everywhere in the country, and no one in the government seems to give a shit about it.

Not a bubble, its supply and demand. Blaming people is ignorance.

Uh yeah, it's not just supply and demand. Ben is right, much of this is because investment firms are buying up properties, barely renovating them and then charging absurd amounts of rent on them. 1 out of every 9 properties in my area is owned by an investment company, and that stat is from a couple years ago. It's probably even more now. Every time I get on Trulia or Zillow, half the properties for rent in my area are owned and advertised by investment companies.
