Wu Ying, PE, AICP, ENV SP, is an innovative and forward-thinking transportation planner with a decade of experience in multimodal transportation planning. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and dual Master's degrees in transportation planning and engineering. As a Project Manager and Texas Transportation Planning Lead at Gannet Fleming TranSystems, Wu brings a unique perspective to addressing complex transportation challenges, leveraging his extensive experience across the public and private sectors as well as research institutions. Wu’s diverse background enables him to effectively bridge the gap between planning and engineering, delivering innovative and practical solutions to transportation issues in Texas and beyond. Recognized for his technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to advancing the transportation planning profession,
Wu has held leadership roles in the Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT) - Houston Chapter and currently serves as the Emerging Planner Leaders (EPL) officer for the APA Houston Section. He has also been a dedicated member of the APA Transportation Planning Division for over a decade.
In his free time, Wu enjoys traveling, riding trains, and exploring nature through hiking and biking, reflecting his passion for sustainable and active transportation.
