Lyrics:
Somethin' ain't right
Gonna get myself, I'm gonna get myself
Gonna get myself connected
I ain't gonna go blind
For the light which is reflected
I see through you, I see through you
I see through you, I see through you
Ya dirty tricks, ya make me sick
I see through you, I see through you
Gonna do it again, gonna do it again
I'm (gonna do it again, gonna do it again)
Gotta do right (gonna do it again)
'Cause somethin' ain't right (gonna do it again)
Gotta do right, come on
If you make sure you're connected,
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected,
Stumble you might fall
Stumble you might fall
Stumble you might fall
I, ain't gonna go blind
Gonna get myself, I'm gonna get myself
I'm gonna get myself connected
I ain't gonna go blind
For the light that is reflected
Hear me out
Do it again, do it again
Do it again, do it again
I wanna do it again, I wanna do it again
I wanna through it again
Ya terrified (I wanna do it again)
Ain't gonna go blind, ain't gonna go blind
(I wanna do it again) here we go
If you make sure you're connected,
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected,
Stumble you might fall
Stumble you might fall, hear me out
Stumble you might fall
Interstate five stayin' alive
Won't someone try open up your eyes
You must be blind if you can't see
The gapin' hole called reality
Ow, wanna do it again,
I know I'm gonna do it again
I wanna do it again, come on,
I'm gonna do it again
Hear me out, terrified
Somethin' ain't right, here we go
If you make sure you're connected,
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected,
Stumble you might fall

This song holds up perfectly even after 30 years.
2day it would hit nr1 for ever
it's a classic
yes it does ! I bought this record so many years ago. One day my sister came to visit us and I let her listen to it. She loved it and turned up the volume... so loud my speakers fell off the wall !! She died at the age of 54. One of the last things she said to me was: "I am going to miss music when I die." I truly hope they play this music wherever she is now.
You're absolutely right. I heard it at Walmart of all places today and assumed it was a new song. I couldn't believe it's from 1992!
even more so now, don't you think so?
30 yr old song sounds as if it could have been recorded yesterday. Love it.
The 90’s were the best!!!
The beat that NEVER goes out of style!
Siempre se mantiene, todo un clásico.
FK YESSSSS !!!!!
Makes me want to get up & dance ! ... Don't think anyone could listen to this & not @ least tap their feet,, & or nod their heads ..

This song just tapped me on the shoulder out of nowhere a few months ago. Even though I remembered it, it was like hearing it for the first time. Unbelievably good. (68 yrs young)
65 and haven't stopped Roki' yet 😅😂🎉
This 77 yr old heard it for first time on radio 2 this Sunday morning having switched over from radio 4. Enjoyed it - found myself dancing 😯
Good for you!
That’s what’s up! 😀
Never too old to Groove
This comment is what it is all about. 😊
Cute!!
Winter time, 1993. An underground small club in Bremen, called Calas. It’s 2am, just finished my taxi shift, having a cold beer and dancing moved by this tune. Left Eu to California next year; still enjoying this music and recalling those winter nights in Bremen, Germany. In retrospective, your bitter days somehow became the most beautiful moments.

Hell yeah, same year 87 ;)

Born in 65 lived it all the tits
I remember turning this song up when my shift started at a convenience store in 2015, Portland OR. It was late afternoon and there was a long line of tired looking people of all ages who either just got off work or just got out of class. As soon as I turned it up and said “that’s my jam”, everyone started smiling and moving to the music. It made everyone’s day. I’ll never forget that.
❤
That’s awesome ❤
God blesses YOU!
Cool!🖤
I grew up in Portland, OR during the 90s when this song was current! 👍
Every time I hear this classic tune it takes me back to the first time I saw the movie "Hackers" starring the very young versions of Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie.
Still one of the great rhythm and driving beat tunes of the early 90's!

On our third date, I took my future wife dancing. This was one of the first songs that we danced too! It has stayed in my memory forever. Just watching her dance etc, made me realize how much I fell in love with her. All thanks to this song!. May this song always be there for future generations! 🤗🤗
How badly i wished this band become an icon like Depeche Mode, just to have the pleasure to enjoy 10 or more albums from them.
Pure classy, stylish,vibrant sounds.
They were ahead of theirs time.
90s: Such a cultural switch, great hi tech music, great energy and clubbing free without instagram, selfies, etc... All about the music, dancing and catching up!
And stupid trousers. Really, really stupid trousers.

Every part of this song is perfect. The lyrics, the control, the constant one chord with everything musically spinning around it. Unforgetable. We played it at a friends wedding (2023) after-party.
All the suited up men did a fantastic , cool dance to this. BAM !! 👍😎💥🎶💙
Truly good music has no age. It's timeless in every sense of the word. I rocked out to this in the 90s and im still rockin it ✌️

True, it's my decade.

i will never stop saying the 90s was the greatest decade especially for music.
50's 60's 70's 80's 90's. Fashion, music and youth cultured died from the year 2000 onwards.
It’s 1992, I am home from college for the weekend watching MTV and “Connected” comes on. My parents both saunter into the living room at silently sit down and start watching this hypnotic song/video silently alongside me. I was just recounting this story to my 12 year old daughter who was just as annoyed with me as I was with my mom and dad…
I think your parents liked the song. If they're still with you, you could recount the memory with them.
90s the coolest people of all time. Cool without trying.
Stereo MC's are not random, they ve created this slow dub and lazy sound. And not 90's wasn't always cool, MTV was !
))) yeah it s realy so..
Exactly! Understated cool. Not like the kids of now, as show off as possible and lacking class!
The decade where everybody "didn't care" attitude swept the nation with Grunge as its leader.
Nah, thats gotta go to the 70’s
When I was a lonely teenager, in a strange new country, with bad abusive parents, I would hear this song on the local radio in my car, and would suddenly become aware of the amazing lives I wasn't yet living and dancefloors I wasn't visiting. It gave me a distinct sense of amazing, sexy things happening somewhere, far away and I felt a great longing
I hope you are doing better now.

It’s a timeless classic, whenever you hear it if you didn’t know you would have thought that it was released recently. In my humble opinion, they remain the UK’s greatest hip hop group! I remember playing the album to death and then had to wait patiently for the next 9 years before the follow up to be released.
One of the greatest grooves of them all.
God damn I miss "baggy" and "Madchester" music. The convergence of Rave, Indie Rock, and early Hiphop was one of the greatest concepts ever and I think it's finally starting to show how well it actually aged, rather than being stuck in antiquity.
The Last Dance did not bring me here, my love of early 90s musical movements and my general memory of what was dope back then did.
Stop swearing God=Lord Jesus Christ's name in vain. It is bad. God=Lord Jesus Christ can judge anyone for it later. If anyone keeps doing it.
Thank u for perfectly encapsulating why I love the style of songs like this
Song was playing in my head for three days, that's what brought me. Heard when I was kid.
This might be the most underrated song of the 90s

it is possible to successfully, happily, and healthily have a family, wife, children AND drugs. They are not mutually exclusive. It is an art, and most people can't have it, but it is achievable.

This particular sound is really the definitive '90s sound. People who weren't old enough to remember the whole decade often latch onto Nirvana, and not saying they weren't bigger than life, but this is really the definitive sound of the decade.
Yes. You can find this sound also if you listen to the Shamen.
@@srujan00 And i love you always for ever, sophie b hakings, new jack swing, techno, eurodance, trance, r & b.
But this groove is just recycled from late 70s-early 80 disco groove, like KC or Stones (Miss You, Dance pts. 1 & 2, Emotional Rescue, etc.).
No one adds SAX ANYMORE
@@lyleswann6296 absolutely true, but it’s the recycling that makes it particular to the 90s sound.

Found myself singing this song in my head and dancing on a train platform. Had to pull it up and listen. ❤
Absolutely timeless, it was ahead of its time back in the day, & it will play just as fresh & bad-ass 15 yrs. from now
@Douglas Taggart ur for sure right, music today just plain 'ol blows, but this stuff right here...is the shizzzzz, keep speaking the gospel
Douglas Taggart I agree with you - “ahead of its time” is such a crap statement, because “ time ahead” is now, which is total crap music wise. The best time for music was the 70s, the 80s and part of the 90s.
What? are you guys named Neil & Bob or is that just what you two do?
What's rubbish is you are seemingly intelligent enough to recognize this song for all its greatness, but are dumb enough to make the statement that today's music is garbage.
Dude...there has never been a better time than today for goat status songs.
There's just SOOOOOOOO much content being released every day that it's physically impossible for one person to keep tabs on even a fraction of it.
There is so much "all time great" status music being released now...I promise you it's out there✌🏼
Digital Mike Metal and rock being released now is great, but mainstream pop music is beyond crap.
Now that I have heard this song again after so many years I'm also stuck again. Can't get enough. Great 90s track that totally takes me back to real nostalgia moments for this awesome decade!

This whole album was dope. Ground level is also a HUGE tune.
This reminds me of clubs in the early ‘90s. Sigh. I wish I could go back in time.
Por Dios, como busqué este tema. Un golazo. De los 90. Trabajaba en un boliche y era unos de los temas de largada después de los lentos. Que recuerdos. Gracias

Thirty years old song?? Damn I’m old!!
Nottinghams Finest ...Gawd Bless You Robin Hood X
You liked these songs a lot at the time they were out, but it’s years later you really appreciate them...
Then you didn't get that actually the music back then were extremely well made. ALso there were less music to choose from, companies had to put effort in it. Now it is so easy, just defecate something out and there is guaranteed millions of listeners that accept anything. No talent or skill required.
So true sir
