@@junprum2473 it has been the Khmer educators who were educated from the West, especially from France during the Sihanouk period , who came back and destroyed Cambodia, Sam Rainsy is one of those people. Thanks for your advice about politics, but all of the people who continue to support Sam Rainsy need to learn the politics of the day, in order to survive in politics. Due to the inability to be flexible with the situation and politics of Sam Rainsy, and that is why he is where he is at right now. He used the slogan of the Khmer Rouge from the 60’s and 70’s to do modern politics. For example, he said that if he win he will take all the property of the rich and hand them out to the poor. Virtually everything he told people to do has been wrong, and everything he told the international community about Cambodia has been lies. I support oppositional party in Cambodia, but not the way he oppose to Cambodia. He is against the Cambodian nation, not just Hun Sen, and that is very bad for Cambodia. You know what brother, you just try to educate yourself more in geopolitics first, and then try to make the best of what you have to make Cambodia better, and not try to topple a government in order to gain power or to change a system. Every time Cambodia went through that kind of change, it started from ground zero again. Don’t go crazy just because you have read a few books and think you are so good in politics. Cambodia has been destroyed every time we had a leader who try to implement the western system of politics, because will never work it all countries especially Cambodia. Hun Sen may not be perfect but I think he is the righteous one comparing all the other politicians that we have currently. Sam Rainsy could have been a good leader if don’t lies to Cambodian people and the international community too much, and also if he stop running away from his supporters too much. He needs to show that he really care about the Cambodian people, and not just collecting money from people and go have fun with it. If you want to continue to support him, it is your right and good luck to you, but it won’t lead to anywhere. Sam has been over awhile ago. He just keep blah, blah, blah….on RFA or I what I call Radio Fake America. But he just going to gain more and more resentment from the Cambodian people about his naïve politics. If you follow him anywhere he goes now in America, not much people appear in the group where make speech trying to make some money. He resorted to go to the temples trying to intercept people and get money from those people who donate money to Buddhism or temples. Like I told you, I was the big supporter for Sam Rainsy before. That was because I was loss, and now I am found. I now chose to support Cambodia, whomever the leader that stand for Cambodia at the UN. I may not be educated like you think I am, but I’m not planning to support any leader who plan to destroy what we now just to get him in power, or any leader who beg the international community to put heavy sanction on Cambodia just because he could not be the leader. That was the kind of leader in the past that which his father was a part of, that help destroy Cambodia and created Khmer Rouge. It was nice chatting with you, if you continue on respectable level.
@@junprum2473 good for you, but learn more first and understand the forces in the world before you want to change Cambodia through using any rebels forces to topple the current government, because that cause another bloodshed and civil war for years to come. The overthrowing of the Sihanouk regime in Cambodia during the 1970’s has caused bloodshed in many year after until 1998. Khmer people were almost extinct from the planet if the Khmer Rouge were to remained in power even for a few more years. Those were the kind of leaderships( the Khmer Rouge) who had learned from revolutionary movements around the world and trying to implement those ideologies in Cambodia. The Khmer Rouge leaders had learned from revolutionary movements in China, Russia, Europe and even Africa , then they tried to implement those ideas in Cambodia which was disastrous for our country. If there were no Hun Sen forces to liberate Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge, there would not be the Cambodia you see now. I know the oppositional party did like Hun Sen because they think that Hun Sen had asked the Vietnamese to come invade Cambodia, but at that point Hun Sen had no other choice beside borrowing the Vietnamese hands to fight the Khmer Rouge so that at least Khmer lives would saved, and as long as we would still be alive we would have to sacrifice something else the savior and all know what we had loss. But that has been Cambodia, for hundreds of years already. Our leaders had been going to ask for help from Vietnam, and Thailand, and then the European(France). The ones that we asked for help from always gained something from us. The French in turned made us their colony and just gave our land to anyone they felt like giving it to.
Yes, I know Vietnam had total influence over Cambodia during the first 10 years, but had been cutdown little by little until the 1990’s. To this day, I think they have very little influence on the Cambodian government if there is any. Cambodia can become fully be independent from any foreign influences if it wants to. But Hun Sen government has chosen to maintain a friendly relationship with all nations.
But my friend, please think of a way to bring change to Cambodia in a more peaceful and intellectual ways, instead of wanting to bring down what the Cambodian people has worked hard to achieve, and that is peace, the right to life, then liberty, and justice can come later once our nation is more developed, and our Human Resources in improved, people become more educated in politics, like you said. Change will take place, once people become more educated, richer, they will demand more. Those changes has to come from the people inside of the country, and the government has to respond more appropriately. Any force of change from outside the country or by foreign power will not work on Cambodia, that will just bring more civil war and bloodshed. You are probably are younger than 50 year old, and you never been through war in Cambodia. I have been through all that, and had enough. I don’t want to see any more bloodshed in Cambodia. I lose most of my family members in the war. Let me ask you, if you don’t like your house because it is messy, do you try to clean it up and make it a good place to live , or you are going to destroy your messy house and try to work hard to make money to build a new house? Sam Rainsy always think of way to destroy the Cambodia that we have now and will have new Cambodia with him as a leader. He never think of a way to coexist with Hun Sen, that’s why he never win.
