  • This is a video tribute to my Redbear MKE 120. Basically instead of power tubes it houses grizzly bear testicles and converts the semen into raw, creamy guitar tone.

    Thanks for making this video..
I've got an MK 120, all stock with upper cab and 8 new OTK preamp tubes.

The schematic to this amp is so similar to the Marshall JCM 800. I have the Redbear Lead Tube Amplifier MK 120

I just bought the mk 60, it's just astonishing: first, how it's built, then, how it sounds! I did the preamp mod on the first 2 sockets to install 12ax7 there, it improves the tone a lot in my opinion: there was a harshness in the 6n2p that I didn't like. The power tubes are still the original 6p3s-e, that are said to be like 6l6. What modification did you do to your amp to put 6l6 there? I wanna put 6l6gc there. Thanx!

You really should turn mic compression off when you record these
    Great amp though

Good stuff. When you modded the vacuum tubes, did you have to rewire the #9 pin that was going to Shield on the 6N2p russian tubes to go to the 6.3V heater? If so, did you just have to tie in the #9 pin to pins 4 & 5?
