The first story I covered over on my website and still haunts me to this day. It was shocking what Fish did but at least the authorities got their man and the family got some closure. So much more to this story too, especially Fish's background and upkeeping. Brilliant video as always :-)
Many thanks pal and yeah I saw you covered this one also, I drove past the cinder path you were in on my way up to Bastwell and saw the 2 bollards and thought of you when I saw them lol I also briefly touched upon Fish's background near the end of the video when he fell off the roof of the workhouse. @@DarkFascination Yeah I heard the part of him falling from the roof. Apparently he also fell from a viaduct which also caused serious damage to his skull. I got in touch with the national archives who tried to locate a photo of him in the dock but alas it was missing. But apparently this photo shows a huge chunk of his skull missing, giving him a kind-of lob sided look to his face. Keep up the good work!

As always, incredible storytelling and professional presentation - it was like going back in time and being there 💗 You are so talented in telling these stories and absolutely bring them to life. The thought of Fish sitting on the doorstep of his shop smoking as the hearse with the few remains of Emily passing by is just unthinkable 😭 My mum was a Historian and Archaeologist in her youth and taught us that Ancient Egyptian culture believed the continued speaking of a person’s name assists immortality. I hope that Blackburn remembers and honours it’s special little girl. I loved your passion in the telling of Emily’s story, it’s not a story that could be told otherwise. Rest in peace, little Emily, and may the gift of your stone send love to her. You tell these stories so well, that was a very gruesome horrific thing to happen to that wee soul, don't apologize for swearing l said a lot worse watching this, l would have let William the Bast__d Fish loose to the crowds, to get what he deserved. You tell these stories so well, that was a very gruesome horrific thing to happen to that wee soul, don't apologize for swearing l said a lot worse watching this, l would have let William the Bast__d Fish loose to the crowds, to get what he deserved.
Thank goodness for the guy with dogs or the Bast__d would have probably got away with it.
