    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a day!!! I find it so remarkable how you so willingly want to share this with the Museum for all to see forever, as well as with us on UA-cam! Many Thanks for doing that!! ....really incredible-your find is now in a museum! AWESOME!

      I belive that is in a way duty of every detectorist, to help his local museum or historical institution to grow and expand the knowledge of the area's history, and for UA-cam, my goal is talk about hobby itself and history, to maybe help build the mentality of others to both start this hobby and help local archeologist and historians, like I was inspired by others people's videos before I started the hobby itself! Glad You enjoy the content, stay tuned!

    • @MD_Panonnia
      @MD_Panonnia  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, axe is unbelivable, and I would say one of rarest things to find, since there is no map or guide where the people were living in bronze age, so it is always great when stumbled upon. I'm happy that You enjoy my videos, stay tuned for future ones!

      @@MD_Panonnia i live in the US, so am limited to finding stone, bone, and, very rarely, copper tools from the last 12,000 {ish} years ...... It must be awesome to have the bronze and iron implements to find also...!!

    Hi friend, 0:45 CONSTANS (not Constantius), reduced nummus centenionalis, Siscia mint, the issue with HR monogram in field (struck 346-48 according to R.I.C., but actually struck 342-348 AD), Rev. VICTORIAE DD NN AVGG Q NN, two victories, RIC 192. 10:25 Gallienus antoninianus, Rome mint, 10th. issue (267-68 AD), 1st. officina (A in ex.) rev. SOLI CONS AVG, Pegasus left. RIC 283. 14:06 Iidentification is correct, and the coin was minted more precisely in AD 254-258. 15:22: also correct, the type was struck in AD 330-335/6, and the mint in this case seem also to be Rome (by style). The Urbs Roma coin was minted in the same period (330-337), in this case the mint is Cyzicus, 6th. officina (SMKS). Very nice bronze age axe and crossbow fibula! Excellent video!

      Well my frend what can I say, I guess I still have a lot to learn when it comes to identification of roman coins, maybe I missread them or maybe they damaged on some places wich makes me mistake on ID. Thanks for elaborate comment wich benefits everyone, all best!

      Yes, amazing relics of ancient times, the relics like fibulas always remind me how skilled were the people in antiquity and sometimes I caught myself thinking that we are actuall, going backwards insted forward in these terms. All best!

      Thank You, I know You back there lack finds like these, but 18th or 19th century silver coins can easily match the beauty or even be better then some roman coins in my humble opinion. All best to Canada!

    Unbelievable what good fortune you have in this field why so many objects from different ages? Was it a road or place people lived from bronze age through? Your a lucky man thank you for posting and thank you for putting objects in museum...you bring happiness to many people!

    • @MD_Panonnia
      @MD_Panonnia  2 роки тому +1

      Well many of these are layers of history one atop of the other wich often happens after big destructions and pannonian basin saw its share of it, and when people repopulate these areas they often would go to the same places where the people before them were living, so it's not strange to find different periods of history one above the other or one next to other. Glad You enjoy my content, hopefuly I would be able to continue to deliver, all best!

    That was an all-round memorable hunt - first of all a rolled field (!) a perfect fibula, axe-head and (even if most were grots) a promising selection of coins. I don't think any detectorist could ask for a better quality day. Great that the museum has taken on the axe to share it with everyone. Really liking this content. :-)

    • @MD_Panonnia
      @MD_Panonnia  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for kind comment, and yes, museum decide to clean the axe and put it on display, because they didn't have that particular type of axe so that is great feeling. About coins, the amount of bad coins started to affect my mood a bit wich can be heard in my voice but after I got home and took a closer look, there was some nice pieces.. it was great day for sure!

      @@MD_Panonnia Such a length of time really envelopes the secrets of Roman coins. For the majority of time I rarely know the quality of what I have til I get home under strong light and toothpick. I got one yesterday and it took alot of patience just to gently start to take off the first later of crust.

    I'm finding only old car keys. 2000 years it's a lot plus the axe, wow. You know how long American Zink Penny lasts in the ground; about 5 years. I wonder in what country you are searching. You not in Italy, no Italian accent, maybe Romania but sometimes I hear little bit of Russian. Just wonder

    • @MD_Panonnia

      Well speaking of coins, all of them are from 4th century on this field, wich suggest there was small village/family community wich was living here in early to middle 4th century, in period whe roman currency was not on the level of earlier period (inflation) so it could be reason for both the amount of coins and their quality of making. Speaking about detector price, I'm using one wich is not consider the best neither the worst, it's all about your budget, almost all famous brands would perform well on the field rich with history like this one.. Glad You enjoy my content, all best!
