Down She Goes | 100 Year Old Barn Renovation

The first section is down, lots to go! David and I worked hard the night prior digging out almost the entire wall. Then during Charlotte's nap time, I hauled dirt away so that we would have the space we needed to keep working. We pulled out a LOT of dirt! The hillside that we wanted to grade some is now a beautiful flat spot followed by a cliff. In the evening David was able to start pulling down sections of the wall with the mini excavator. He scored it first, but the score was not deep enough to make it crack and fall in the particular spot. Luckily the wall has multiple cracks that we are able to work with and it all fell mostly beautifully. There were a few sketchy moments for sure in my opinion, but David is confident in his work and he has done a fantastic job.
