    Rob, I have the Mark 3. Thank you for your tip, I was doing a shoot the other day and could not figure out why the 2 sec timer would not let me bracket. Now I know. I set the custom self timer and it works perfect. Every other camera brand I've shot with brackets perfectly in a 2 sec mode. That's why I was so confused. Thanks Again!

    thank you very much for explaining this function, today I almost went crazy trying to set this function as in the previous camera and I saw that in the new om1 there is no access to this function

    Alrighty Rob. When I was on live stream with you this morning, I said I was still waiting for my OM1. Woohoo! It is shipping today with the 12-40. Now I can actually fiddle instead of just watch! Thanks, Rob.

    Thank you, that was very helpful. Also using Sony and considering that Olympus has quite a few sophisticated features in comparison, that’s super weird why you can’t set that for AEB or other continuous modes.

    Do you have a video on doing it with the EM1 mk3?

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi John, Sorry for the late reply. I don't have a video for the EM1.3, but it's very similar. Go into Shooting Menu #2 and select "Anti-Shock/Silent". You should be able to set the delay there.

    Doh. I made a mistake on my last video... i changed to 2 sec when bracketing was off and didnt realize it changed. It felt like it waited 2 sec 😄... On em1ii the silent sec settings is in the antishock/silent menu

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  2 роки тому +1

      I've done that too! I should have reminded people to remember to turn off the wait timer.

    Nice tip. Another option would be to use the shutter on your phone in the oi share app. This way you don't have to touch your camera and no need to change any menu setting (and forgetting to set it back afterwards).

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  2 роки тому

      I don't think you can do bracketing through the app unless I missed it.

      @@RobTrek Hi Rob, sorry for the late response. I just tried it. I set the camera to bracketing and then used my phone as a remote shutter and that worked like charm.

      @@berlinerffm that is nice! But the self timer is the better option! OM should bring that in the next few update

  • @TITAOSTEIN

    I use the self timer all the time! It is difficult to understand why they change that!maybe they what to sell more remote controls…

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  2 роки тому

      It is odd they removed that ability. Maybe an oversight when they rearranged the menu but could be they did want to sell more remotes.

      @@RobTrek Exactly. Or they want this differentiation between the OM1 and em1/em5. Incidentally, the em5 is much faster ( using the same settings) than the em1 when using Custom selff timer with AE BKT, which is curious and also difficult to understand! Thank you Rob! Your channel is awesome!
