Inside Out is, without a doubt, one of the best movies from Pixar. It explores the inner workings of the mind of an 11-year-old girl named Riley. The movie is a beautiful portrayal of emotions and how they shape our lives. In today’s video, we're going to talk about the Pixar movie "Inside Out" and some scenes that were not made for children. Although this movie is rated PG and is suitable for all ages, there are a few scenes that may be difficult for young children to understand or process. Joy's suppression of Sadness is a good illustration of toxic positivity.
I indeed did not understand Joy’s breakdown as a kid. I was all like “But why is she sad? Isn’t she like, the happy emotion?” And my older sibling, who put the film on for us to begin with, which is how I got to know it, said: “Well, it all got so bad that even Joy started crying.”
Back then I didn’t understand, but now I do. We’ve all been at some point of our lives that we sink to our lowest point and cannot keep it together anymore.
But tbh even if I didn’t understand I still cried at it. Lovely movie, was the first movie that made me cry and the first movie that made me understand emotions.
