I doubt they are legally allowed to leave immediately upon getting what they were promised. They are still obligated to finish the journey with Dante in collecting the boughs, if that were the case, technically Sinclair could've left them since Kromer is already dead by the end of his Canto.

Like I think he'd even start swinging at Dante at one point, prompting everyone to jump him.

If every four cantos ticks and it is a clock of the apocalypse, Canto 12 will end with something to justify the final scene of the first PV where we saw how a nest saw its population reduced to 0.
