    I loved your critique of the belt loop. "C'mon Simms."

    Just bought a pair. My last pair of entry level simms gore-Tex waders lasted me 8 years. I then purchased a $800 pair of Patagonia. Those were great for three years. I then went through five years of back and forth with Patagonia. They would be great for a season, then leak the next. Patagonia has great customer service though. Now, 8 years later I’m going back to SIMM’s entry level gore-Tex waders. My expectations are high.

      I keep hearing that simms is not what it used to be, especially when people are taking about G3. But I've done over 200 hours with these waders and everything is fine so far

      @@dvk323 my Patagonia’s were great. I would be in them 8 hours a day three four days in a row in January, February and March on the Missouri in Montana. The material never leaked. It was always the neoprene to goretex interface on the boot. I’ll never buy a wafer that isn’t goretex, no matter the brand. I’ve had too many friends that have had problems with Redington, simms, Orvis and Patagonia waders that aren’t goretex. I wear them to stay warm as much as dry. If I can’t live in them for a week at a time on the North Pacific coast during fall and winter steelhead season, than I won’t use them.

    Update on the Waders please, Are you liking them still? Has your buddy changed back to simms yet? I'm looking to get a pair for steelhead fishing but not sure what to get. Your video was very informative.

      Hey, 2+ years now, and still no leakage. I've fished many trout this season, so they've had extra stress, but the colt is holding up great. I am pleased with my purchase. My friend already changed 5 pairs of waders (he bought one, then they were replaced twice by the seller) and bought two more himself. I haven't convinced him to switch to Simms yet :)

    Single belt loop is lame, I agree. I ended up ordering a pair after watching this. I have been 100% Orvis before this and hope these do better with longevity than Orvis does. I haven’t got more than a year before seam leaks with those.

    • @EdvinasUrbonas
      @EdvinasUrbonas  2 роки тому +1

      I'm comfortable with the seams, I think Simms does a good job there. It also depends on how many times you go out with them in a year. If it's more than 100 - I doubt any waders will survive :) mb G4 just because those are so thick, but not my price point tho :)

      @@EdvinasUrbonas I hear ya. Not in my price point either. I probably do use them too much 1-2 times a week. These have a better warranty at least.

      Hello there. A little bit disapointed with fact that back part of wader is a little bit thiny.😒 I using a bellyboat also, so back part is a little bit more in contact with water than front. Did you fell a little bit colder on back of your legs when you standing in a water? 🤔

      Not sure it’s relevant anymore? Short: still no leaks, the neoprene socks seams a bit damaged but not leaking so far. That’s really it

      25 times on the river, ±6 hours/time (10-12 hours on the salmon season), no leakage so far... no wear and tear signs. Just dirty and thats all :) very happy so far. My friend who bought the ±200euro waders from other manufacturer has changed two pares already... Problems with the crotch
