My players are starting in on Wave Echo Cave tomorrow, and i got excited and drew up a full size map with the shattered obelisk scale... so double the size of the original. It's massive, and I'm looking forward to running it for them Also, i had to crank the CR and rework the encounters, because they've been mercing everything i throw at them. There's now a roper, a black pudding, some vegepygmies and russet mold, and my favorite... nezznar transforms into a drider after they defeat him the first time. I'm also putting a morkoth in area 16 as an incentive to come back later
I found that the dungeon might be difficult to fully clear out without a long rest, so I added an incentive to clear out the whole dungeon. I added coloured numbers painted on the walls 1-7 in different colours each. In W20, there is a coin slot with 12 differently coloured coins and 7 candles hung above the slot. When a correct coin is put in, a candle ignites, but if it's incorrect all candles go out and the coins are returned. If the players enter in the correct order of colours based on the painted numbers throughout the dungeon, they each recieve a permanent +1 to a stat of their choice. I made sure to make it difficult to guess randomly so no tomfoolery. Maybe I'll make it so you can only try it 3 times before the machine malfunctions or something.
I spent 4 hours drawing the dungeon :( it took like 6 maps 25x35 grid sheets Everyone, I do not recommend doing this! Definetly use this guide instead!

I use the TV also! My group don't use miniatures though, I pop the map on my laptop and draw where they are on the map etc and connect it to the tv.
