- Another month gone and now a shitty video. This one is a complete disgrace, definitely the worst of the Arch-Vile Trilogy and maybe even worse than Doomguy Action. Overused sound effects everywhere the whole video does not make any sense, it's full of mistakes and even the creation of the video just pissed me off, especially towards the end, and the ending itself should win a reward for the most dissapointing and boring ending ever. Until i found a good, simple and funny idea, i'm not making animations.

if this is his worst im excited to see what his average is, not even his best video, just the most ok video hes ever made is probably incredible.
You really shouldn't be so hard on yourself man, that description makes me worried about your self esteem. These are incredibly unique animations and we love them to bits. I can't wait till your next video is out. Have a break if you need it. But we do care for your talent.
While this is some great feedback, being harsh with oneself helps overcoming challenges and not becoming stale. Just because he wrote "this is my worst" doesn't automatically means his self esteem is zero, lol.
@@midorifox You're seriously downplaying what Gargoyle is saying in the description. Doomguy isn't saying that Gargoyle's self-esteem is zero, but what the video description says makes it clear that he is very unhappy with his work ("another month gone, and another shitty video"), despite the fact that it is of very high quality. There's a reasonable level of being "harsh" with yourself ("this is okay, but I can do better" or "I see problems here, but I know how to fix them"), and this isn't it. It looks more like unfounded pessimism than self-critique.
This man is a giga chad, I salute you.

i thought it was okay. wasn't the funniest but wasn't bad either.
anyway, don't force yourself to create stuff when you're creatively burnt-out. all you get from that is you start hating what you originally did because you loved it, because it'll never feel like it's good enough.
Buddy you are being way too harsh on yourself, every video of yours I have seen is great. Your sense of comedic timing is fantastic and your content really stands out since Doom machinima isn't really something anyone else is doing right now.

True, some things don't make sense. But that's not a negative here. The creativity you put in is great and the scenes look reaaally cool. Also clever animation / camera work here and there, nice!
Tbh using the same sound effects over and over again will never get old, a lot of the channels I watch also reuse all sound effects and it's still funny
Actually ... It made perfect sense. The Arch-Vile's journey went from a first world primadonna, who spent too much time on twitter, to a jaded, angry demon who had to face the realities of living in the streets, to a now broken, haunted criminal. Despite the Arch-Vile becoming hardened enough through his misadventures, something still remains of the once innocent mischievous arch-vile who only wanted to tease his zombieman friends. It's displayed in how the arch-vile hesitated and in the end, couldn't attack the zombieman shooting him.
At the end of it all, the Arch-Vile decided to take out his anger at those at least partially responsible for his demise, the Mancubus and Pinky friends. But even then, flameboi ultimately knows they're just a symptom, not the cause for his mishaps. It is why despite grabbing a shotgun after being dismembered by Pinky ... He still doesn't attack them directly. Perhaps the Arch-Vile had enough of the suffering and it was his way of hoping he'd finally get to rest in peace ... But that was not to happen, as he found himself sinking instead.

Until i found a bad, confusing and terrible idea, i'm not making animations.
I thought this was pretty grand. I liked the callback to the Doomguy prison, the Arch-Vile’s epic journey home, his insane last stand, and the heroic return of Mancubus and his pal Pinky. It felt a little more serious than your past animations, but I liked that as it keeps things fresh. Good work!

As the creator you'll always see the imperfections. It's been said that the best artists are ones who hide their mistakes better than the rest.
I didnt fknd the story confusing at all, it was clear to me what was happening. The sound effects accompanied it well, somthing you've always done well. I couldn't find anything wrong with this one.
Archvile using a shotgun made me have Evil Dead flashbacks. GROOVY
i dunno man, i really liked it. i just like the whole idea of using DOOM as a medium for animation at all, its SUPER creative and i think theres tons of cool stuff you can do with it. when i saw the first video in this style i was floored; i did not think it was possible to do something like this at all! it takes a lot of willpower and talent to figure all this cool stuff out, and i hope you keep making stuff in this manner, even if its *not* funny.
if this is what you call a crappy video im excited to see what a video you call great looks like, matter of fact im excited to see what you consider to be an average video, this was really good, and the ending was pretty great too.
Even though you say this is your worst video, it was still pretty entertaining. If you're feeling burnt out, you can take a break if you want. Your videos are hilarious and you wouldn't want to stop doing what you love just because you feel like it's not good enough

But not making sense is often a perk of your video. I don't have to question a giant hand killing a shotgun guy, or why I just got rickrolled because it just... fits with the sheer insanity of hellworlds like these. It's like a silent film but with DOOM, and all the signature style that comes with DOOM.
I say don't let reality and continuity upset you with these videos. They aren't the strength.
I definitely enjoyed it, and can respect it because of all the work that goes into it.

P.S. i think funny idea for video is like: two monster kids playing together and one of them wanna make present to a monster girl, but friend betrays him and sell his present. And while main monster kid trying to find his precious item, through chain of trades girl recieve present but not as planned from main monster hero. Kek

If they ever make a classic 32 map mega wad or something like that, reimagining Doom 1 or 2, you should definitely do some cutscenes to go with it 👍 or maybe one of your own maps, it would be an interesting combination.
