So deeply grateful to all of you who are gathering and sharing Ram Dass' speeches. And thanks for not including an introduction and marketing pitch for upcoming events every time. Beautiful service greatly appreciated.
Adding this to my list of favorites. Ram Dass has helped me to take it easier on myself in regards to not doing enough in my spiritual practice. I love his easy going humor with all of these people, who like me, just want to get everything "right" and we can end up missing the entire point.
Thank you so much for this video. This is exactly what I needed to hear right now as I am taking a break from my daily practice precisely because it felt like obligation and not joy. He is reminding me once again that everything is grist fir the mill.
There is so much wisdom in this that is as fresh today as when this was recorded and, perhaps, even more important given the increased internal and external struggles that we're experiencing in our human experience today. I have always been especially touched by Ram Dass's combination of humility and wisdom. As he so wisely stated, we can not be spoon fed those qualities externally through any church or guru or rote process. But, rather, only by looking within ourselves with both curiosity and love because each of our journeys to the light is valid, unique, and beautiful. That is our human journey to our heart. And it unfolds like a unique flower coming into blossom in its own time. Love, Joy, and Peace to All on your path.
The drama of the human condition is almost too much to bear. There's alot of mystery involved. And alot of people aren't comfortable with mystery. I'm not in that place yet. It's available to me, sure. But I'm not entirely ready to give it all up yet I guess. I will be, but my honest assessment is I'm not there yet. And that's ok, because that's where I am.
I feel your realness. Glad you’re able to be that honest with yourself. That’s the name of the game. As Ram Dass said in this lecture, the top level answer is , you don’t need to do anything. 😄
That's what Ram Dass is referring to at the beginning of this talk. You can look at it as "The drama of the human condition is almost too much to bear." Or you can flip it into "The drama of the human condition is almost too comedic to not experience." It really is funny when you flip it and see it from a perspective of 🥹 rather than 🥺
It reminds me of when Ram Dass said this about our spiritual journey…. “I just want to eat one more slice of pizza, God can you look away 😂” we all are still trying to eat one more slice of pizza and that’s okay too. As long as we don’t label ourself as “good” or “bad” and more like “this is what it is” eventually we’ll naturally stop craving the pizza

Be spiritual consciousness playing in the world
Struggling to understand the “bead” topic 12 minutes in. Could someone rephrase it for me?
@Nolan, I believe his reference to bead is like in a garland, you add one bead at a time

To go i❤😅

Hahahaha ! 🤣😭
The real test for some is being able to handle a skip-able intro. Imagine if they grew up with tv commercials and VHS tapes. Lol
