How often does it snow this heavy also, can there be multiple months of snow? I'm thinking of moving there from dallas TX, and we get a light snow 1 day every year. And many ice days in Jan. Just trying to get a gage of what to expect.

I’d say Dec-Mar there’s snow, sometimes in April! And definitely this type of snow in January. Also single digit temps in January and February. AWD/4WD vehicle is a must during the winter months. But the city is usually prepared for winter weather.
