We have to say how great Jermaine Wattimena really is to be there in the first place when top players he beat up. Also how both Luke and Jermaine great together. If there was a Charity doubles for partners from other countries to play together I really think they would be great together.
Man I feel for Gian. Playing the best darts of his life, bottles what would’ve been a PDC title and just runs into a Gary Anderson that is hard to beat right now. What a day tomorrow will be!
He is one of the 2 Best dutch players this year ......better than MVG / Noppert / etc.... so he will be back stronger for World champs . Same goes for Mike De Decker ! Darts is going nuts at the moment & we are loving it
I feel he is a great genuine guy who is finally playing to a High standard ! He knew Littler was on a another planet yesterday & so genuinely wished him to get the 2d opportunity for a 9 in the Bag . It would have been the World record of 9 Darters ever scored in one season .
Littler v Anderson could be the match of the tournament. Gary is my favourite darts player... there are no gimmicks, no excessive celebrations with him. He doesn't show off or play to the crowd. He just goes about the business of throwing darts. That's why I like him. He let's his darts do the talking. It'll be tough to beat Littler, but I'll be rooting for him.
This version of LL should scare the rest of the pros, he has a focus and look of determination he lost for a bit I feel. Blasted onto the scene, got maybe slightly complacent but seems to have locked tf in recently. This was an outrageous performance!
Exactly what I've been saying . Its in his eyes, the focus, you can see it, he just wants to demolish every player ..I'm a Scot and an Anderson fan but even he well Gary playing I doubt he can beat Littler in this form .
A generational talent,I think he’s the most naturally gifted darts player we have ever seen so far imo. Look what he is doing now at 17, as well as being a professional darts player he is also and rightly so, being a regular 17yr old. Wait until he hits his twenties when all the focus will be on darts full time, he will a very dominant force.
Luke Littler is a once-in-a-century talent in the sport of darts. Wattimena is probably currently in the form of his life and doesn't stand a chance against this seventeen-year-old boy. I almost felt sorry for Wattimena. But he really has no reason to blame himself. 99% of all players would probably have lost against this performance. The second semi-final was much more evenly matched. It is a real pleasure to watch Gary Anderson play darts. But I also take my hat off to Gian van Veen. He always stayed in the game and waited for his chance. Even though this chance (with the exception of the chance at the 108) was very rare. Without wanting to offend the first two semi-finalists, all eyes will probably be on the second semi-final. But it's absolutely insane that the semi-finals and the final are played on the same day. Especially with these distances. Whoever came up with that, and whoever waved it through, well, it's probably better if I don't say anything more about it... We can only hope that the quality of the final doesn't suffer too much. Especially if both semi-finals go the distance of a very high number of legs.
The format of this tourney seems a bit strange, I guess they want to stick to tradition? It would make more sense to do Q/F race to 12 all four played friday, two semis sat night race to 14, final sunday night race to 16. Also 2 qualifiers from each group should go to opposite sides of the draw so they can only meet again in the final.
Jeeezzz i didn't know the semi and the final are in the same day, maybe it is because they wouldn't be able to sell tickets for the final alone....but with so many legs to play, I guess he won't win the most talented but the most resilient......so littler got only a 50% chance
I've probably watched every tournament that was aired on TV since the 2002 world championships. And this performance by Luke Littler, was probably the best I've ever seen! Wow those 180 scores!!! ,😍😍🙀
I bet can feel the whole crowd 'lurching' mexican wave styly back, on his back swing, and forward on his final arm going towards the board, especially on possible finishes on bull
I think it’s a benefit from him he is so young. It probably makes it way easier to perform under pressure because he was little to lose. No adult stuff, probably living at his parents, no partner, only focus on the thing he does. You see it more often with really young talent for instance in music and performing. Very young, big stages, big crowd and no pressure. Just do your thing.
@@Ins4neinthemembran3nah, I don't buy into any of that. From 16, all eyes were on him and other pros were suggesting he stay out of the limelight. He just cracks on and performs at a high standard, fairly often.
😂 There are many videos online showcasing young talent, even under 16, performing exceptionally well-whether in auditions or on big stages. If you haven’t seen such examples, you might be living under a rock. Having to focus on only a few things in life certainly makes things so much easier, but above all, it’s undeniable that talent is what truly sets them apart.

Wattimena played excellently for 10 legs - and won 2 of them! He slumped a bit after that but it still wouldn't have made much difference, given Luke made 12 of his last 13 shots at double. Incredible performance and a lot of fun to watch.
There's nothing as scary in these tournaments like playing Humphries or Litter when they mean business. They can easily make you think you don't know how to play darts
Anderson is a quality operator has been for years now but I really want van veen to win a big title soon and believe he will, he’s a brilliant young player and carry’s himself so well I think he deserves it.
