10 The Wizard of OZ - Dorothy vs Witch

Scare crow, Tinman and Lion somehow found their way into the witches castle to help dorothy. But during the escape they come across the guards and the flying monkeys of the witch and got trapped. When the witch tried to burn scarecrow with her broomstick dorothy threw water accidentally on the wicked witch in an attempt to save scarecrow. THe water splashed on the wicked witch which melted her immediately as it was a poison for her. The guards and monkeys are happy to be free from the captivity of the witch and hailed to dorothy. Dorothy took the broomstick of the witch and made her return to emerald city.
The annual cultural theme "The Wizard of OZ" was inspired from a book titled " The wonderful wizard of OZ" by L. Frank Baum, the show performed on 18th Feb 2017 at Mascot The School, Ajmer was a creative combo of the movie shot entirely in the campus of the School and live stage performances. The direction, narration, acting, sets construction, articles and objects, paintings, costume designing, editing, recording, lighting, make-up and from top to bottom everything was designed and implemented by the Students, teachers and management of the School. It took roughly 3 months of the arduous effort in which all the students and teachers from Pre-primary to Higher secondary were involved with entire dedication to make this task possible. The show comprised of the pre-recorded and edited movie in which a young Kansas girl named Dorothy travels to the magical world of OZ. Their she made friends with Scarecrow, tinman and lion, fights with the wicked witch and saves the people of the emerald city from her wrath. Whereas the live stage performances were stitched with the pre-recorded movie in such a creative way that the very same characters of the movie appeared on the stage giving an entirely different experience for the audience which got so mesmerized and gave standing applause to the efforts of the student and school. No other school in the entire country has ever attempted such kind of cultural show other than Mascot The School,Ajmer so far.
