If Starbucks gave it away for free they would be overcharging.
Were you the only one to get off at Craven Arms? It sounded like a faster solution for everyone given the frequency of trains between Cardiff and Swansea - to going back to Shrewsbury and a bus all the way back.
Yeah I was the only one, the other passengers I think needed to be dropped off at other stations on route. The bus to Swansea was going to be over 3hrs, that really wasn’t going to be an option.
you spell welch wromg its welsh
Apologies - I’ll blame autocorrect 😂
Nice one. I've only travelled on this line from Llanelli to Llandovery twice, and it's a really nice railway line
Hi mate, thanks for watching - appreciated. It's very nice, next year i hope to do the full trip.
Nothing like that has ever happened to me, I always get boring train rides. But here you got to ride on three different trains, how exciting!
Yeah it was an interesting journey, although I was disappointed it was nice to sample a few different trains.
Shrewsbury aint a city....
Hi mate, thanks for watching - appreciated.
I remember doing this trip back in the summer the opposite way around. It was during a heatwave with clear skies. I think it was 31 degrees when we left Swansea and I'm 6"1 so it wasn't comfortable at all, glad I got some nice views though lol.
😂😂 I know the feeling, being 6”1 also I know the challenges. I’ll be taking this trip again in the summer so fingers crossed there will be no breakdowns, it is a very picturesque journey though.
You wouldn't think they were suitable if you got this service in high summer and pre-Covid times. They're frequently overcrowded (last time we went there was a golfing party and every seat was full), and quite unsuitable once they become commuter trains between Ammmanford and Swansea. Also as you found becoming unreliable! But it's a stunning journey - just a shame you never got to my home town!
Yeah I agree with that, different conditions and busier train would have been uncomfortable - the route is stunning and hope to explore Swansea some more in the summer.
Great video mate. The 153 engine sound very noisy and do you mean little DMU not DMR lol 😂
Cheers appreciated - jeepers, yes you’re right - the DMR is what I use for my day job!? 😂😂
Nice video! Never been on that line. Will have to give it a go when I visit the UK this autumn. You definitely deserved a brew after your extra long trip. “This Bud’s for you!”
Cheers mate, if you get the opportunity try it - from what I saw it’s a very scenic route, I’ll certainly be trying it again and the beer 🍺 was well worth it.
Shrewsbury station is simply stunning. One of the most beautiful imo
I agree with that - lovely facade.
Please Review the HS2 train when it's being built
Yet another great video mate!
Cheers mate - totally appreciated as ever.
What a journey haha, great video
Cheers mate, appreciated
