This is a tricky sound but I have no doubt that you will master it 💪 Please note that I don't teach the sound from the shape of the mouth, but by what comes after and close it or not. I find from experience that it works better this way :) Get the eBook and the listening here : bit.ly/2WpXsz2 The PDF : theperfectfrench.com/shop/pdf-course-books/the-complete-pronunciation-course-learn-the-french-pronunciation-in-55-lessons/
Bonjour Dylane et comment allez vous! You discuss the pronunciation of EU and ŒU (/ø/---/œ/) with example in a very pretty easy way. But very difficult to differentiate the sound. Merci beaucoup pour votre Lesson 21.
Hi Dylane I want to let you know that when I see a new lesson from you I first put "like" and then watch it because I am dead sure it would be of great value to me
the [œ] sounds to me almost idenical to the letter e sound in the word "cela" LOL so hard hahaha what would you say is the diference between the two sounds? thank you for everything
Merci madame for this wonderful lesson. I am having difficulty in pronouncing [ø]. It comes out as [o]. Can you tell me a similar sound in english? [œ] is easy to pronounce.
I can't really find one on top of my head :/ But remember that it's ok to not have a perfect pronunciation right away. I still struggle with a few sounds in English even after 5 years.
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Practice makes a man perfect. I’ll practice and surely i’ll get it one day. Btw the way you say ‘totally’ is really cute. I was just watching pronunciation video and I really like how you pronounce some English words.
I am a Spanish Speaker, and you are helping me to understand both languages. "English" and "French". Thank you very much!!! Lord bless you!
that makes me so happy 🤩
finally figure it our!! thank you!!
Thank you ❤
The deux and neuf example is brilliant and easily understood. Merci.
Easy to remember as well 🙂

It is, the sounds are very similar and require a lot of listening practice, but I am sure that everyone can learn them 🙂
J'aime bien votre video, tres tres bien, merci
Merci beaucoup Pete ☺️
Hi Dylane
I want to let you know that when I see a new lesson from you I first put "like" and then watch it because I am dead sure it would be of great value to me
Ohhh merci beaucoup Fahad ❤️
If I can't hear a sound! You are right Dylane! I won't be able to pronounce it! I will keep that in mind!
Exactly Michael. If you can't hear it, just give yourself some time :)
I will because, I see improvement already! Thanks to you! I'm just impatient Dylane! It will come!
leçon fantastique
Merci Lisa
How do you know if it is open or closed?
Ms. Dylane, can I assume that most words ending with EUR having IPA [œʀ] are CLOSED sound or there are many exceptions? Merci.
Most of them yes, except MONSIEUR 😉
bonjour et merci pour vos videos
Keep working on your listening. It will come :)
See you!
👏🙂

thank you for everything
Roi the difference is very subtle, don't pay too much attention on it now and now day it will come ;)
Sooo... When I say the open one, I have my lips rounded, and when I say the closed one, they're a bit stretched horizontally? Do I understand it well?
yes :)
Osam
This was a really tough one 😂😂👏💚
I can only agree with you 😅
I was the -👍250-. Interresting lesson as usual.
Merci :)

It seems that the close sound Πis the same as the E sound in Lesson 20. How to tell the difference?
They are very similar. Πis a bit higher than E. Lots of listening to hear the difference :)
Haha I need Swedish and Danish with this one
øster
öster
to pronounce hour in French is tricky.
I agree :D
Madame is there any rule where EU is used and where OEU is used?
Please help
No rule but it's only spelling in a few words for œu ;)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci beaucoup madame 🌹🌹
How d'you type "Œ" ? I always have trouble typing this character in Windows, always have to copy and paste :(
I have a Mac and for me I have to push longer on the letter and then I can choose :/
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane ok, thank you. Maybe I have to switch to Mac then. Thanks 😊
"It's not that simple actually . . . " ahahaha. Jamais!
The whole pronunciation course in one sentence 😂
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane le français en une phrase ahaha
I can't feel the damned difference... Almost the same.
It's because you don't have these sounds in your native language. Keep practicing and one day you will hear the difference :)
