Withers speech at the cell didn't matter at all lol. He painted him as if he was the hero at the end, just to leave him rotting there and forget about him, not even attempting to help.
Because Withers can't do shit. He can revive people, that's about it, and you were deep in Bhaal's grasps at that point so even if Withers had revived you, you would still be a Bhaalspawn. The sole solution for Durge to escape is for Bhaal to take the blood away himself.

When durge kills their lover earlier in the game, they didn't I fight back while sleeping and no one heard it. So I think they're probably all dead because the game treats you as helpless against the urge in your sleep. I tried most of the options, nothing changes besides whether you piss yourself or not
@@UnseenOctDoubt that would be the case here. Depends on the endings, you would have a god, a high-ranking Shar cultist, a Githyanki that has been fighting non-stop for a few months, and a mindflayer that can read minds. @haihuynh8772 but theyre up against a God's direct descendent who: A. Is living mainly to be punished. Death would be good for you, the person who ruined Bhaals ultimate plot at the very last moment and killing your lovedones is the ultimate punishment B. Is needed to make more bhaalspawn C. It's the same ending if you choose anything other than killing yourself on the docks. I picked the one where I convinced myself that my will remained because of the tadpole and it showed this ending. I even went to Avernus with Karlach and Wyll but it didn't matter.
A freaking nightmare. I accidentally create a Durge for my first run, and I did my best to silence the urge. I thought I may have a bitter sweet ending, but noooo I'm doomed, crawling like a zombie to my next prey. Bro, it hurt.
This is a weird ending. I dont see Durge winning a fight against Withers at all, let alone against all the other party members. So I am guessing this is a suicidal bad ending.
You did kill your lover in their sleep with 0 resistance. Since they're waiting for everyone to goto bed, I assume you take everyone out easily. Bhaal needs you to breed and also wants to humiliate you in every way imaginable anyways
They will die they still had chance than you sayed kill me but they dont even mercy that instead rott in jail spare but that Made baal control so they are dead even ascended astarion it backfired

So I got this after I changed my choice in the final battle. My question is, do you simply get no epilogue at all if you side with Bhaal and control the nether brain? I only seem to get any additional content if I destroy it.
I don't like the implications of breeding, especially directed at Astarion :V' Also not sure if the game is implying that feral!durge has basically sired hundreds of ill-gotten kids at this point.
The breeding thing can be because of the actual biology of this specifc durge (we dont know if the player chose to give them female anatomy) or its implying the use of magic against the other party. A good enough wizard can do just about anything after all. And trust me, durge is very explicitly confirmed to have fucked a lot before the game starts. most are likely not breathing when it happens, unwilling or if you have bad luck when doing a specific scene, actually related to you. So a good handful of unholy spawn are very likely running around murdering.
I need some clarification, is the “6 months later” scene the same no matter what path you take with dark urge? I’m on my evil durge run and plan to let Astarion ascend!
I'm pretty sure you only get this if you lose in the duel in act 3 AND if you become Bhaal's chosen but in the end decide to destroy the brain instead.
It was what Bhaal did in the prologue of the baldur’s gate games when he was mortal. He slept with many potential mates to bear his children from human to dragons. He forced Durge to do the same. So it’s kinda sad.
The party is a bit cursed because some companions didn't show up and others were, as you can see, glitchy, but I think it's because this save originally had lots of mods, all of which I uninstalled after the patch. Yea well maybe DONT give in to Bhaal for a slayer form next time
@Xxsorafan do you get a different ending if you don't get the slayer?
@@hadvar.the.viking I haven’t finished the game yet but I beat Orin in a duel and rejected Bhaal and withers said Bhaal took away any influence he had over me when he killed me so I’m assuming it will be different.
Edit: it is a different ending. I imagine similar if not identical to tav playthrough
Well they wanted you to rott in jail so
Literally becomes "Murder Hobo"
“In this new, hit game you can play as a serial killer with a gay vampire boyfriend.” *Wins every award.*
“There thou art.” You can tell withers missed the tav. Hoping we were still in there.. somewhere.
Withers calling you a friend is the best
'piss yourself'
I love this tragic end, but for my Durge, it didn’t quite make sense, I had set up two back-up plans in Gale and Astarion becoming a God and Asending respectively, but they couldn’t look out for their Bro who was always there for them, supportive of their horrible decision making? You telling me a God of Ambition can’t help the most ambitious man alive? Vampire Lord can’t keep a beast under control? It hurt more then the Shadowheart bit in my brief epilogue.
Still, Good (Horrible) End
I just got this ending unintentionally after gale promising to help me with my affliction repeatedly then suddenly he only cares about the crown and becoming a god? 😭 it also considered minthara my main lover for some reason
This is leagues better than the cut bad ending.
Mom, can you come pick me up? I'm scared 😢. Holy hells, this ending is terrifying
Others aswell not so they are dead instead of find a way get baals influence out of the Body fix cure they planned to let you rott suffer not even mercy through death they die now freed of jail forced to be baals puppet

Such a good option tbh. Really highlights the animalistic broken state you are in.
I tried it and it basically shows your piss dripping from the wooden log you're standing on, the narrator saying you're worse than an animal
@@margonite.morenaoof, that's so dark. I love this.
I love it because it was the perfect ending for my evil playthrough. All my companions were evil feckers too, so my perfect ending would be if Durge killed them that night.
You also get this ending if you die to Orin in the temple of Bhaal, I’m so glad I saved before fighting her because I got this ending and was so distraught over it I had to fix it myself 😭
I was so pissed. I was on honor mode, got her down to two punches left, and when I punched her again, LEGENDARY ACTION
SHE HIT ME FOR 30-210 DMG. I died on my own turn
My favorite thing about this is that you can choose to piss yourself
I Hope we will see in 2 Big DLCs
a) The journey to help Karlach and Wyld to Avernus where we meet again with Hope and "fix Karlach's heart
and
b) the journey to help Lae'zel to fight Vlaakith and free her people and avenge or help Orpheus .( Depends on what choices you made)
Uhm, Avernus is cut content, because L couldn't bother finishing the game and your basically suggesting that after L fucked everyone over, they should DLC it, the same shit everyone is upset over in every game that remove stuff for DLC milking the customers...

Patch 5 has been an amazing early christmas present. The closures, the bug fixes plus the ever anticipated Honour mode
RIP durge tho, going in blindly while Lazeal is there, she'll disect him

@@thegatorhator6822 i hated lazeal at first but my opinion changed so much after experiencing her story. Its one of the best
And having her in a party is just a massive boon coz after the creche, she basically has a lot of gith specific gear that are all really strong
I had the polyamory mod and romanced everyone, the game still focused Astarion at the end lol
I am interested on seeing how Astarion will give birth....
I've seen the last minute or so of the ending a few times, but this is my first time hearing 3:00. Damn is that heartbreaking.
Well, this looks as if they die, but this is only one-sided narration of our Tav, he believes he can pull it off and has a chance, but what really happened, we can only guess... This is still somewhat open ending, like with Karlach. Besides, we see some dialog options and I wonder, if the ending can change when changing some of those options.
At least one person would have an ability or enough durability that you would never be able to kill them in their sleep.
@haihuynh8772 but theyre up against a God's direct descendent who:
A. Is living mainly to be punished. Death would be good for you, the person who ruined Bhaals ultimate plot at the very last moment and killing your lovedones is the ultimate punishment
B. Is needed to make more bhaalspawn
C. Has presumably been killing even more nonstop like a feral animal
D. Is arguably the most powerful and most skilled of the group
No one is durable against a knife in the neck in regular clothes. Also, mindflayers sleep, so I'm not sure it matters. Technically, astarion should have been in a meditative trance but aware, but you still kill him with 0 difficulty or resistance or without awakening anyone
@@UnseenOct And the Bhaalspawn is twitching and barely moving right. Even if they could do stealth, at least one of the companions should have an ability to detect their presence now, not to mention security around camp, something someone SHOULD be paranoid about. Then it's just a matter of up to 7 fighters against one naked person with a fancy dagger.
And not to mention Bhaal could simply be sending them to their death as they have already sired new spawns for Bhaal, he could simply be disposing of them out of spite now.
@@haihuynh8772 well, they didn't see them staring directly from the brushes a few yards away all night while they pissed themself. Of course, they're deranged, but they're only slightly more deranged than orin, honestly. I don't feel like 6 months of being a sex slave is near punishment enough. You were a once-in-an-eternity miracle, an immaculate conception, and you destroyed the most perfect plan. Bane is probably still torturing Gortash for simply failing and not even betraying his god
Oh wow, so dark and detailed. Larian really blessed us with this present. Now I want to try every twist in the game from the very beginning to witness all ending possibilities myself, this game will never let me go.
The fact that they can _piss_ themselves..
I was wondering. Does the party mourn or have different reactions now for the durge suicide ending? Or continuing the path to live on with the curse? Also Ty for showing this ^w^

Astarion 100% knows you are there.
It would fit with the ascened Astarion as he is confident in his power but the scene is same with spawn so i am not sure about that
Here's hoping Ascendant Astarion can put his lover out of his misery that night. This being Ascendant, though, I suspect he would allow Durge to kill any present who oppose his plans for conquest before putting down Durge or at least flitting off as a bat unharmed.
They are chill, Lizzie and Karlach have sentinel feat so no one can surprise them
This reminds me of VTM when you lose all your humanity... and you become your beast.

baldur's gate is simply such an amazing masterpiece of a game, it's the only turn based game I played till the end and I have enjoyed it's every moment when creating my story. The Ascencion of my character and his growth was something to behold. Good fucking job to these people that poured their souls in this game : )
Damn…..that’s just sad man
Withers seems to be full of great ideas. /s
But leaving baalspawn in easily breakable rusty old cage takes the cake.
It's the same ending if you choose anything other than killing yourself on the docks. I picked the one where I convinced myself that my will remained because of the tadpole and it showed this ending. I even went to Avernus with Karlach and Wyll but it didn't matter.
Good luck attacking them when J is around Baal-Spawn. This is the end of the line.
I'm curious as to how Astarion and Male Durge could sire spawns

This is a weird ending. I dont see Durge winning a fight against Withers at all, let alone against all the other party members. So I am guessing this is a suicidal bad ending.
You did kill your lover in their sleep with 0 resistance. Since they're waiting for everyone to goto bed, I assume you take everyone out easily. Bhaal needs you to breed and also wants to humiliate you in every way imaginable anyways

This is exactly the type of ending system Mass Effect 3 needed to be successful. Meaningful good and bad endings. This would have made that game a masterpiece at the time. I hope future games learn from this.
Licks blade… Then immediately realizes what that means, “I shouldn’t have done that.” Drops dead.
Just commenting on the thumb nail cuz it reminded me of that.

This game is wild. 11/10 . BG3 as we all know almost * pardimes life. The sickos. The lovers. The white/dark Knights. I wish I could translate BG3 into a TV show that could be made on netflix without sucking. This is the most depraved ending. Its not the only ending. This game lets you decide. AI, demons, God, Atheism, Pragmatism, Love, Kindness, Understanding and most IMPORTANT, Reflection. Its like it was distilled into a game, that is fun and extremly challenging. Only those who finish know. But it Reflects life. P.S. Dont kill anyone. Be good to your people. One love.
When Orion looked more reasonable...
Kinda sucks that only ending where I didnt make Lae'zel sad is the one where i made her my thrall. Prison, Defy, and KYS all made her sad or dead.

I don't know if I can play durge to that end, or moreso I don't wanna. To destroy the characters you've come to love, it seems too dirty.
So I got this after I changed my choice in the final battle. My question is, do you simply get no epilogue at all if you side with Bhaal and control the nether brain? I only seem to get any additional content if I destroy it.
That appears to be the case yes. Taking over the world with the brain doesn't have any epilogue party.
Why would you? Everyone’s being controlled to kill eachother
Yes Daddy Baal. I'm a good boy.
I don't like the implications of breeding, especially directed at Astarion :V'
Also not sure if the game is implying that feral!durge has basically sired hundreds of ill-gotten kids at this point.
Ooh, then sweet summer child, you don't know. And it's best if you stay unaware.
@@j.a.r.5974I chose male genitals and pronouns for my Durge. So yes it's just all weird like that.

@@kristinak2763winning the duel and and becoming chosen gets you something different?

Well this is awful. I love it
“Your new children” I know murder is about to happen but how dark Durge cheat on Astarion??
It was what Bhaal did in the prologue of the baldur’s gate games when he was mortal. He slept with many potential mates to bear his children from human to dragons. He forced Durge to do the same. So it’s kinda sad.
