Bought the se with a warranty, then realized there was a boom 2 that not the same speaker. For me the se do sound like it has more mid range bass. I’ll say if you are one of those people that play your speaker at high volumes the 2 better, but the se at 70% and lower volumes are better in my opinion. Can you pair these two speakers together, and if so how do it sound?

You can upload videos of the two speakers without the grids to see how they are.

just in time, i was looking for a review of the SE version. thank you man. I'm not sure if you've used the motion boom before but i was wondering, which one is better boom 2 SE or the motion boom.
@deheimer honestly it's been so long since I've used the motion boom I don't remember 100 percent, I think they are super similar but the SE version definitely has newer Bluetooth mode and bass up 2.0, I'd probably go for the SE version out of those two, the design looks better to me
It sounds like the bass hits harder on the SE.
@jedolivier2688 I did a hertz test and I think the se hits harder and goes deeper but the original goes louder and more bass at max i think
It isn't i mean it sounds like it is quite distorted and has more boxy sound than boom 2, well i will still wait for it when this one will come out in europe
@DominikReviews it will be interesting to see what you are able to do with it when you get it, I'm curious on your analyzing what the verdict will be
despite being full range i like the SE more, does a better job at separating everything and bass seems a bit cleaner but also a bit punchy. honestly thought the boom 2 would’ve taken it but ig having the two tweeters didn’t help and has no mids
@haroldjones12 yeah your not wrong, honestly at max volume the boom 2 sounds better but at lower volumes the SE sounds better, I wish the boom 2 had better mids, it's definitely suffering from that big time, the SE definitely has better separation and honestly maybe bass

I bought the Boom 2 SE and am really not feeling like it is as loud as I would like it to be. Is the Boom 2 that much louder?
@MatthewWilliams-kh4ww yeah get the boom 2 then it's a decent amount more loud and a bit better bass
Im using wking x20 with off bass mode.. while listening, Honestly as i listen to this 2 version in, s.e. has a more bass up even it in the high volume but not much as louder than the boom 2. Clean bass, clean treble. But boom 2 has louder less bass but if you tune up the equalizer on boom 2 you will get the bass you want to them. 😅 I'll go to boom 2 in terms of loudness.

The SE's bass is cleaner and deeper in my opinion, I clearly heard the sub bass in add it up song on SE and I didn't hear it on the Boom 2!

@@Jagistreviews Yeah definitely, because more wattage means more loudness, and more power goes to that single sub in the Boom 2 resulting in louder bass!
The SE's Bass seems distorted..... I don't know..... I want to watch this with my Boom 2.
@Khyree_Holmes neither of these speakers distort to bad, sometimes at max volume, but depending on the song I play it can make the bass sound weird almost distortion but not

@waynedexter yeah I think they should slow it down a bit ha ha, they are stealing sales from themselves doing it like this, and yeah idk why they made these two look identical
They are more of upper bass, but the se sound better though not as loud 🔊
@aniefiokjohn5943 yeah after Dominic did his analysis it's true the SE is more upper bass but I'd say at lower volumes may sound better but the boom 2 is still the better speaker especially at high volumes

I analyzed your recordings and
On deep bass below 60hz
Boom 2 had -25.8 LUFS
Boom 2 SE had -26.7LUFS
So in having a deeper bass, boom 2 for sure wins
On upper bass 100hz-200hz
Boom 2 had - 23.6 LUFS
Boom 2 SE had -23.0 LUFS
So in the upper bass SE version wins
On mids bass 60hz - 100hz
Boom 2 had - 26.2 LUFS
Boom 2 SE had - 28.9 LUFS
So again boom 2 wins
@DominikReviews interesting, it must be the upper bass making the SE sound more bass heavy at some points then the boom 2, that's very interesting
@@JagistreviewsThe mid bass and upper bass aids the deep bass to sound what it should sound good like, otherwise deep bass alone doesn't sound good, you can try once with 3rd party eq by lowering down all the mid and upper bass and only the deep bass slider like from 20hz to 45hz, it might not sound appealing to you, it will look like something is missing in that bass area! BTW I have played with the frequencies for years and playing with all types of songs including the song used in this video for years!❤

I think you should have run the volume on the boom 2 on up to 100% to show the difference but anyhow. Here's a suggestion transmart bang Max, that thing is an animal it has got some really low hard hitting Bass.
@jammer1mo yeah I definitely could have, I tried to make it super clear that the boom 2 is the louder speaker by a bit, I just wanted to match volumes to see how they compare, the boom 2 is definitely the superior speaker at max volume and battery life and has good rgb lights to!!!

@@Jagistreviews it's louder than the db soars and more Bass. X20 is probably 3 or 4 DBS louder but bass is lower than the x20.
