this tutorial was perfect for my C430W. way more helpful than anything samsung has provided! and presented with a calming canadian flair that deflated all my printer stress! thumbs up.
REMOVING THE POWER CABLE: To anyone wondering about how to get the power cable loose: THE WHOLE WHITE PLUG DOESN'T COME OUT, ONLY THE CENTER OF IT COMES OUT. Pull carefully by the chords and it will come loose.
Thank you. This is another excellent procedure on UA-cam that helps me keep my printer working at no cost. The problem I had was the waste container overflowed and the ink powder contaminated the entire transfer belt assembly. As others responded below, I had to take it outside and shake everything out. Everything is working well now.
This worked perfectly for my dirty prints! i had used a glossy paper and i thought i messed up my printer. i wiped it clean with alcohol and that did the trick! Im so thankful for UA-cam and People like You ♥ Thank you for taking out your time in helping people like us! Really appreciate you ^o^
REALLY REALLY should add that "REMOVE THE DRUM" step to the Description! I'm too careful to yank hard on something so I stopped and read down thru the comments to find the problem. I know you can't edit the video once it's posted, but putting it at the top of the Description would be a very big help.
@@juliehong7653 I guess I just gently tried to wipe off the toner powder from the foam roller. Be sure to use a cloth that doesn't leave any fabric behind. FYI, the real culprit in my case was a leaky generic cartridge, I switched back to originals.
Thank you for video i have C480W i had belt full of dust and printer did some dirty yellowed lines on paper. Mission success, my printer working again 🥰
My waste toner bottle was absolutely full, which I didn't expect, so I've made an epic mess! :)) The dust falls out even from the part with the belt. Thanx for the video and all the comments!
You forget something! After removing the toners slide out the green big roller from the front. But thanks for the tips! EDIT: stripes came back. Real reason was the tones waste opening was clogged. It is at the end of the spindle in the bottom of the transfer belt behind a little door at the side of the waste container.
It was a little messy, But it worked great. Thank you so much. I was getting a green tint mixed in with the other colors. The transfer belt was indeed dirty. I'd advise others to do it outdoors if possible. I used microfiber cloths and an air can to blow it out. That's why I did it outdoors. I ran it a few times now and it stays clean so far.
You missed critical step at the beginning. How to remove the imaging drum (the big green thing) and let people know not to expose it to light for too long. ALSO: After putting the transfer roller assembly back in, you forgot to secure the two white clips in the back. Otherwise, it's a good tutorial and it was good to find it on UA-cam.
Hi #URTechDotCa.... Great video. I got the same printer as in this video. My scanner is showing lines when i scan by keeping document on the glass. Any tips what printer part i should clean?
Hi, thank you for your video but, I have done what you did to the machine. But, after I cleaned everything it is still mixed color print, you know why? how can I fix it?
We have a Samsung CLP-315 laser that has been in storage for some years and now it still prints well but with smears. We have cleaned the transfer belt, but it seems that it has picked up faint creases from edge to edge from being still for so long, and these creases pick up the toner again very soon after replacing the belt. Is there any way to remove these creases, like with hot air?
Great tutorial. The only thing is now I have a printer in pieces and the transfer belt assembly will not go back in and lock into position! Anyone give me a clue here please? I did as he said and have tried flipping it up as he did but not working
There is a piece of the video missing: around 1:02 is not explained how the drum (imaging unit) is taken out at 1:45 the unit is not there and is installed back at 3:00

You mean the cable he FORGETS to tell you to remove about two minutes in, but then adds (in post-production, I presume) a helpful arrow warning that you'd BETTER remove it before you go any further--without EVER SHOWING YOU HOW IT'S DONE??!! Did anyone ever reveal the secret to you--because at this very moment I'm sitting with the printer spread out in front of me, nearly foaming at the mouth from frustration. O sweet Lord, how I would LOVE to know the answer! Been wiggling the plug, tugging at it, fiddling with its two tiny side tabs, coming who knows how close to breaking it who knows how many times, etc etc etc for over half an hour without the damn thing even pretending it might someday possibly budge.

Well I took apart my printer, following your instructions, which I must say are very good, clear and straight to the point and also apply to the C480W (although the little ribbon cable was a bitch) and what do you know there was a FUCKING PAGE JAMMED IN THERE, AN ENTIRE PAGE, UNDETECTED. I printed like a 100 pages with it there! Thanks for the tutorial. The transfer belt needed cleaning too.

@ URTechDotCa Bullshit, you don'r have to replace transfer belt if cleaning won't solve the problem. All you have to do is simmply disassembly transferbelt and just replace the wiper blade, or simply remove it from the frame and glue it back on doublesided sticky tape in the same direction but upside down. I had the sime issue in CLX2160N, I simply flipped that wiper blade and it works back with no problem...
For the C480FW you need to remove the drum unit prior to the transfer belt; it just needs pulling from the front. this video is a good example ua-cam.com/video/L1yXocePDyM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=COPY-EXPERTbyTomaszJemio%C5%82ek. I had issues removing the cable from the transfer belt, i did it by putting a pair of tweezers between the bumped cable connector and the smooth houseing on the left had side and leavering the cable conector downwards.
