Yuqi really stood out to me in Tomboy. Her voice is very unique, it really represent her and her persona. Yuqi is very charismatic, she really owned this era!
This was Maknae era, let's be honest. Yuqi and Shuhua have been killing it since the very teasers dropped.

As producers/writers of the songs, the members pick those who fits the song the best. That's why Yuqi's songs, Yuqi has more lines. In Minnie's songs, Minnie has more lines. In Soyeon's songs, Soyeon has more lines. They would pick quality rather than equal line distribution
you know, I don’t think that this particular album is suitable for Miyeon’s style of singing. She has bright tone and her main strong point vocal wise is high mixed notes. this album has slightly different vibe, you know? it’s more dark than previous concepts of g-idle’s comebacks. that’s why I think she has less lines than before

Completely, for me the ranking must be :
1st - Minnie (because she perfectly fits the concept)
2nd - Yuqi (because come on look at her visuals and her deep voice which fits too)
3rd - Shuhua (because the double face angel/devil personality fits to the concept)
4th ex aequo - Soyeon (because her rapping skills are too good for being ignored and also her visuals) & Miyeon (because her confident and sexy vibe fits too)
They need to be reminded of their individual positions that's it! Miyeon is a freaking MAIN VOCALIST!!!

Its always Soyeon writing and producing the songs since Cube doesnt do anything. As a Miyeon Stan as well, she has been treated terribly in terms of line distribution these past few comebacks after HANN (senorita, uh oh, oh my god, tomboy) .But at least she used to have decent amount of lines in their bsides but now wtf is this?? What a waste of talent.. one of 4th Gen’s best vocalist and getting 2nd least lines in her album. If you say she doesn’t fit Tomboy’s concept as they have to perform the song, ok fine, her “badassness” is weak indeed. But come on.. all the other B-sides, she adjusted her tones for each song as well she absolutely nailed them 😔

For this people with angry about the distribution I don’t understand like okay if you want justice just say that miyeon deserves more line because she’s main vocalist I agree with that but why including other members ?Why say that Minnie not deserve most line while she’s a main too ? So your arguments are yes miyeon deserve most line because she’s main vocalist but Minnie don’t deserve line because she’s just main vocalist . Plus for Soyeon in gidle’s song there are often one or two rap part and she’s the only real rapper so it’s normal and she got much line .And for the producing if you work really hard for a school work, you do the research, the discours and your group only says what you have done but the prof only congrats your friends but not you you will get really angry for me it’s normal that the person who produces/writes the song get more recognition . Instead of wanting to say what is not good you run down to the others members and it’s fun because the majority of your arguments are they are a group so why you treat them differently if fan can’t be perfect and be logical why idols would ?
Just a reminder that Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi all wrote the songs on this album so it does make sense that they are the top three (Minnie with Already and Escape, Yuqi with Liar and Polaroid, and Soyeon with the rest)

I honestly dont understand this so called producer line or whoever produce the song she gets more line. This is a group, you need to treat everyone fairly. If everything goes with "she produce the songs, she should have more lines? mindset, then why stay in group? Go solo. @@kotochel4592 unfortunately, that's the current situation for gidle now. With soyeon be the main rapper of the group, for sure all the rapping in the songs go to her. The remaining vocals of the song need to divide among the rest of the members. With 2 main vocals they have, they choose to mainly side to Minnie which is not clever in my opinion. Take SNSD for example, they have 2 main vocals as well. But you hardly see they only focus on 1 main vocal on their songs like gidle. No hate on Minnie or Soyeon, i'm happy that they showcase their producing talent, but it's sad that they wasted on Miyeon's main vocal talent.

It's so f*** up that a MAIN VOCALIST almost has the less lines. And other than that, all of the songs, doesn't have her standing out as a main vocalist (with high note or something like that). And people saying that "the concept doesn't fit her voice" is just excuses for you to not feel bad. They said in Uh Oh the same thing. And tbh, the rock concept is perfect for her voice. Also, Idle writes and produces their songs, so they are in control to make it fit. Since senorita (with the exception of Dumdi Dumdi) Miyeon is pretty much the same role, pre-chorus and changing with other member. This is a problem. This has been a problem pointed out since I trust, liking you or not.

I thought after Soojin came out the line distribution would be evenly distributed, but I was wrong. many say they can line a lot because this concept fits but why don't they make a song with a different concept on this album so that all members stand out even if only beside. if the member doesn't match the title track then make a song beside that is suitable for the member that doesn't match the title track
They do Miyeon dirty way too many times. She literally has the best voice in I-dle. She is extremly stable while singing and she has such a unique voice, u can tell it apart between 100 voices.

I'm actually glad with this line distribution. Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua suits this concept very well and Yuqi and Shuhua got more lines with the ot5 lineup. Even though I miss Soojin very much and she would have killed this kind of concept, the 4 girls killed it. Miyeon did good too, it's just not her type of concept so I understand why she doesn't have much lines. She shines more in concept like dumdi dumdi or bright stuff.

But the thing is I-dle has two main vocalists and just one main rapper, so its kinda clear that 90 % of rapping parts in the songs will go to Soyeon. If you compare it to other groups the rap line oftentimes consists of two main rappers (or a main rapper and a lead rapper.)

We should all support them and not worry so much about the distribution. It should be a minor issue because overall it's a really good comeback and things have improved.
Shuhua, for example, has much more lines than in the mini albums before and is also more often in the center position.
Miyeon has less lines than Minnie for example, but her lines are more than stunning and she doesn't get lost in this comeback at all. All of them shine so well in this album.

Soooo if you want your bias to get more lines, tell her to start composing songs good enough to put into the album. Producers like soyeon, minnie and yugi usually (not applicate to all) get to sing the most in their own songs. End of discussion.
Edit: just to be clear the whole purpose of writting songs is so they will likely suit your voice, your taste in music and bring more color and diversity to the group.

Title track is the face of the album so of course u will want whoever sing the part best do the part. Because this is a group so when everybody all packed with schedule, a few members willingly spent more time preparing for the comeback. They do it for the group since the company didn't buy any songs from outside since debuting. If ur bias was spending days and nights writting the songs, choosing who sound the best for the part and getting hated because of it?
@@anndang4897 Uhh Ohh Soyeon having 60 seconds and Miyeon and Yuqi less than 20 , OMG Soyeon and Minnie having 60+ seconds and Yuqi and Miyeon only interchange their part and having less than 15 seconds (and the fact that it's the most iconic part of that songs), Moon Miniine having 70 seconds and Soyeon 7 seconds , Dhalia Minnie having 40 seconds and other even less than 15 seconds ,Hwaa Soyeon having 40 seconds and Shuhua 4 seconds . And a lot of parts fits Miyeon/Yuqi voices but there are only singing one time and Minnie like 4 times and even both of them sound as good or even better than her sometimes

I never watch any distribution videos til this cuz I'm simply enjoying their music, feel like gen 2 once again. People had different opinion about voices and who sound better to them so I will end it here.
