*A great vacuum for the price. The suction is awesome. Excellent for pet hair. The beater attachment works great **MyBest.Tools** on the stairs. Not too heavy and easily maneuvered.*
Thank you for the demonstration! I could not tell from the paper instructions where, exactly, things were to go. I would recommend that when showing a tool, hold it away from the product, so it can be seen better. I just used the vacuum and it picked up a lot of dirt. It was a little messy to empty the canister, but if it picks up things that I don't even see (could hear them being picked up) I can live with it. I also appreciate that it is not real loud. This replaces a Hoover that lint, dust, etc., were always caught in the roller and could not be cleaned.
I wouldn't say that the brush roll is new or innovative by any means. Over fifty years ago, Eureka make a brush roll that they called the disturbulator. It used three different rows of brushes. They had a row of stuff bristles, a row of soft bristles, and another row of bristles that were in little sections. Whether they based it off Eureka's or not, Bissell's "OnePass Technology" is something that Eureka did over half a century ago. On top of that, Eureka put them in a much nicer and more effective unit back then.
Thanks! Was reading reviews online. Many people on amazon don't know you can remove the filter in the canister... using knives and tools to pick stuff out through the crack! I referred a couple here. Good stuff.
Thanks for watching the video! I believe you're very right about the filter. Most people don't know. In fact, I would assume most people don't take very good good care of their vacuums. Which is why vacuums don't last very long. All it takes is a few extra minutes before or after each vacuuming. Thanks again.
Princeton Product Reviews I can vouch for that! I have found at least three Bissells, a Hoover, a midsize Eureka, and a dirt devil three in one stick in the garbage. One Bissell was clogged and used as a wet/dry vac. And another had a broken belt. Both of them had clogged brushes. And a third Bissell is one just like yours, But it is missing it's brush attachment, it's extention wand, and it's crevice tool. Thanks to your video, I know what it is missing. But it does have it's TurboBrush (which alone made it worth the price of admission!). Anyway, I took on a hobby of cleaning them up, replacing broken belts, and then donating them to the Goodwill and writing them off my taxes. I don't like needless waste. As for the dirt devil, apparently the dog bit into the cord, so I was going to cannibalize the cord off of the Eureka. Anyway, I had them both all apart when I spotted this Bissell three in one stick for $20 at Walmart and bought that instead. I scrapped those other two as I did not want to mess with them anymore. But now I wish I had kept them as the Bissell three in one did not fully reach all the way underneath my bed without the head lifting up, and also the bottom of the bed would keep hitting up against the power switch and turning it off. Therefore I returned it to the store. Whereas, if I remember right, the dirt devil three in one stick did not have those problems.
What a great cause, and who doesn't love a tax write off? To be honest, our Bissell came from the dumpster. Someone left it outside of it, I guess as a freebie, but the filter was filthy. After cleaning it out, it worked great! It's shocking how many people just pitch vacuums! Usually, if I leave them be, someone gets them. If not, I'll try to find them a home or clean them up and put them out for a day a couple of weeks later and watch them disappear (not on garbage day). Any problem with bedbugs? That's my big fear, so we've been very careful. So far no issues. I'd hope they'd chuck them in the dumpster with that kind of problem! If you're ever in the market, Hoover CH30000 PortaPower Lightweight Commercial Canister Vacuum with the carrying bag, cheap, powerful, and having arthritis it's about the best vacuum for quick clean up I've found. So easy to use, made to last, easy to order replacement filters and whatnot. Great little portable.
This also has a HEPA filter under the clear plastic 'bag'. None of these vacuums do well on hard floors....what do you want for 80 bucks? I have one of these that lasted about 6 years of heavy use....every day. For the money, it is OK.
I purchased the vac and within a month the rubber band on the bottom broke. I called the company and they sent me a new one free of charge. Overall, for $80 - what do you expect? I don't want to spend $500 on a vacuum! For the video - you are demo-ing it on a black carpet on a black surface ( the back of the vacuum) Even hard to see how you set it up on the video.
I think people should just sweep their bare floors or use a dust mop on wood floors, but that's me. lol This was a very good video. I'm about to replace a 6 year old Bissell Cleanview that has a bare spot on the cord. Thanks for the presentation. Oh, by the way, I would've used a lower setting on that carpet you first vacuumed. :D
Thanks for watching Valerie! I couldn't agree with you more. I prefer getting on my hands and knees and cleaning the floor with some kind of wet solution and a cloth or rag. But that's after I vacuum up any food or dirt. And thanks for noticing that I didn't have the pile setting low enough. Live and learn. Cheers!
I used to think the same but if you use a vacuum meant for carpets on a floor it picks up a lot of stuff that a broom just pushes around. I began using vacuuming as a clean up the floor before using a swiffer wetjet with led lights. It cleans up more than a broom. I have an old $30 vacuum that is weaker than this model. I found they clean floors better on the carpet setting with the brush rolling. Trust me you miss a lot with a broom. Big difference. Brooms are what I use for when the vacuum has debris that is to big to get picked up. Vacuuming the floor on carpet setting before using a wetjet swiffer delivers better results. I was thinking of getting this model since it has attachments that can be used for dusting. You have no idea how much cleaner I get it with a vacuum. I just started doing it one day and couldn't believe the difference. My old $30 vacuum cleans floors better on carpet setting. Sucks dust bunnies off the floor pretty well. Brooms just don't clean the same. I began doing it that way and got better results. Very easy to clean although it takes more time.
@@PrincetonSupply vacuum the floor on carpet setting and use a swiffer wetjet with led lights. It makes your life easier. There's no need for that much work in 2019. It cleans well using that method. My cheap and weak vac does its job. I want this vacuum because it has attachments to clean furniture better and for dusting. Better to vacuum dust than spread it all over the place with a feather duster. It is worth it to do it that way. A broom doesnt get the small stuff as well as a vacuum does. I find that using carpet setting on the floor cleans it a lot better because the spinbrush picks up more with my weaker vacuum. I'm thinking of getting this vacuum in the future. Thanks for the review. Try my method. You will see how easy it is. Less hassle. Although vacuuming a floor takes more time than sweeping it really picks up a lot more on the carpet setting. It is so good. You got to see how much dust and sand it picks up. It changed my mind when I emptied the container. I also wash the internal filter after every use. I realized that if you wash every piece after each use it improves the suction. The more full you leave it and the less you wash the filter the more nasty stuff it throws into the air. I have a weaker cheaper vacuum that picks up so much tiny debris that is"invisible to the naked eye" as I like to call it. You have to do a test one day. Sweep and then vacuum another time. You will see it picks up a lot of unseen material. I was shocked. I only use carpet setting on the floor because on the floor setting the brush does not spin and it can leave stuff behind. Vacuums are good at getting the hair off the floor better than a broom. Especially if you have pets that shed vacs work wonders on floors for that. Trust me the broom just isn't as good.
Don't bother with floor vacs they are so weak and don't come with a spinbrush. They leave so much behind. Carpet vacuums on floors on carpet setting. Now that is a game changer. It will pick up what a broom left behind.
+Commander Erik Thank you for taking the time to watch our review. That is a really good question. Most of the time, the loss of suction and suffocation of the motor can be due to dirty filters. In my experience. Filters are always over looked during the periodic maintenance of the vacuum. Now to answer your question. The easy answer is once every six months to a year. But that time frame can vary depending on how worn the filter is. If the filter is torn, has holes or if you are not able to see through it when put in front of a light. Then it is time to replace the filter. Remember, the filter acts as a barrier not only to collect the dust that passes through the suction nozzle from the carpet or floor. This prevents it from being spread around the room. In addition, the vacuum motor can become overheated if not enough air is getting to the motor, which could be due to vacuum bag/dust cup being too full, clogged hoses or dirty filters. Just make sure to clean out or rinse with water (depending on the type of filter) the filter once a month or every time you check and clean the brush roller for caught hair and loose fibers. But I always recommend reading the user manual for suggested maintenance. I hope this answers your question. Sorry if this was too long of a read.
Sorry for the late reply Bradley. I'm not sure what you're getting at exactly? There shouldn't be any issues with the brush not spinning unless the belt is broken. Please let us know if you are still having issues.
Bissell should be ashamed of themselves for releasing this substandard product! I purchased one and right off the bat, the cord does not stay on the small notch at the top of the vac! It falls off even after a few seconds use! I had to use duct tape wrapped around the handle in order to keep the cord in place, so it wouldn't drag on the floor. Also, one shouldn't have to frequently reach into the messy dust bin and remove a part in order to get rid of backed up/clogged up dirt and dust!
+AudiophileTubes Why can't you just hold the cord in your other hand so you can keep it out of the way, which you have to do anyway? That's what I've been doing with my 6 year old Bissell Cleanview the whole time I've had it. I'm getting this one to replace it because I managed to wear the cord down to the wire in one spot, but that took 6 years. Anyway, in the realm of problems, I can't believe you see this as a problem. lol And the dust bin ... so what? Afraid to get your hands dirty? Just hold it upside down when you reach in. Again, this is not a problem.
+Valerie Jenice Clearly, you are clueless and/or have low standards. In case you haven't noticed (DUH!), there is a huge difference between vacuuming having to hold a properly seated cord that is attached properly up high, as opposed to one that is hanging downwards. And clearly, you are clueless when it comes to quality and proper operations of a bagless vac. I've owned many, and this Bissell is the first one where hair, dust, and dirt CLOGS up part of the dustbin. It did not happen with my Dyson and Shark units, just to name 2 manufacturers. This is not good vac engineering.
+Valerie Jenice Yes, you clueless idiot... I did buy this vac, as your direct mail to me stated. And what of it? Just because you buy something with a reputable name, don't you think it should work well, and live up to standards? Get a clue, dolt.
Why? People may not put their vacuums on the table but they can be really rough with them so his knocking it off the table showed how sturdy it really is. I have this vacuum and it is that sturdy, so not stupid after all. Calling names like a juvenile is a bit...ah, erm, juvenile, lol. Next time think about calling someone stupid who took the time to demonstrate something so you can watch it for free.

I was having the same issue that's why I came to UA-cam.
A top-notch review. Learned all I needed about this model of interest … Thanks,
Princeton Product Reviews!♥
This helped me figure out how to unclog the vacuum without reading the manual. Thank you!
I am glad that he talked about "Cons" as well, not only the Pros. I like this brand, nice Demo!!*
You should show how the tools connect to the hose. The instructions don’t show it at all.
How do you use the hose?
The review wasn't bad. He did various test. But did not talk about the vacuums filter technology, what kind was it?
Good video, should show using the attachments.

Silvana Di Ravenna same here! Instructions are horrible.
What is the use of washable filter?
What happens if we use without that washable filter?

Is this stronger than a Cleanview?
She lives in San Francisco and she like this vacuum
I decided to buy one on Amazon. Thank you for introducing it so much.
Thank you so much for all of the info and the demo! 😊
OOPS, forgot to say, I've also subscribed! 👏🏼🎉👍🏼💕
Thank you for taking the time to watch our review!
Looking to get a new vac on amazon, this was helpful. Thank you.
You're vacuum sounds a lot like a bagged vacuum and sounds a lot calmer that other bissell cleanview
Dyson doesn't lose suction
What is the price of this vacuum?
Carolyn & John Creamer It's now on sale. I'm waiting for mine as we speak to be delivered from Amazon. It was 80. Now 65$

That was a tricky rug you use it on
It's a low pile rug with deep grooves for catching dirt for entrances. It's a pain to clean. Perfect for putting vaccums to the test. LOL.
Easy to assemble
Awesome Vacuum
I can’t get my dirt tank off the vacuum despite pressing the gray button!
thank you because a lot of pieces came with it and the picture in books was so small with numbers smh they should know better
get glasses you ugly ass nigga
how do you turn the brush mine isnt spinning
