Wait so in order to add sounds, you have to literally gut him alive leaving an empty shell, add the electronics, cover him back up and it can no longer transform? This is bad comedy
You may wanna possibly consider checking out the custom lightsaber scene. Small componants, and the blades and strip the neopixel blades use. The frosted polycarbonite the blades are made of does a really really good job of deffusing the led's to where you can't see the individual led's. Check out Zimmerlabs. Dude is bananas, and used some really really tiny strips for inside of the hilts, like WAY smaller than 20/20's pretty killer. And the Proffie board is a special thing, you could load it up, and not have to control it from an app, but could. It's got a gyro in it, and a pressure sensor. It's not much bigger than a stamp, can have bluetooth and led screen support as well.
@@publicprofilename4273 LOL! I hear you. I am actually writing a short Arduino sketch for a blaster. I love a Proffieboard for a lightsaber. For a blaster that I just want to do red/kill and blue/stun, I just need something cheap.
@@cchobbyfun1 I've started experimenting with led strips. I suppose the big roadblock I'm going to have to address is input. The strips on Amazon, like 65 to 100 foot with all kinds of control methods. Bluetooth, wifi, app, smart hub, remote, etc and can sync to your voice, or music, or whatever. I bought a few different ones, and a bunch of the couplers, elbows, t's, and extensions, and got pretty good at running the strips how I want, cutting them up, and splicing them back together etc, but I still can't run them in a custom scene that reacts to different inputs, like a blade style on a saber. I don't have a Unicron, don't think I'll ever have one, but I do have a diorama project I'm consistently adding to, and changing elements of. It's current form is around 7' by 2' and 3' at it's widest, and around 4' high, with a "basement" that I'm currently adding in. It's very well lit, but I'm running all the lights off of only 3 controllers, so all throughout there's literally only 3 variances in the light, other than say my light posts on the roadway which are battery powered white LEDs. I'm sort of rambling here, but basically I'm just now starting to investigate a Proffie type of controller to run these things off of, that for my needs doesn't have to be tiny, but needs to be capable of running multiple lighting themes at once, and doesn't cost a million bucks. I started out with lightsabers, gotta Proffie. Dog ate my Proffie lmao, no shit, and then got monitor backlighting strips, and started the whole "hmmm I wonder" process, that always makes my wife nervous lol, and now I wanna Proffie for other uses, like Unicorn's rings. Or my diorama. Think of your Unicron having different ques to instigate certain lighting themes. You turn the overhead light on, and that activates him, rings light up versions color, and the maw pulses red or orange in time with "greetings, I have summoned you here for a purpose." Or the rings start to dim until you open the maw, "feeding" him, and they brighten up again. Just so cool man, this has to happen, and I think a Proffie or something similar is a good starting point. They're hard to get hold of these days though. But. Your Haslab Unicron, undoubtedly is almost certainly the crown of your collection yes? If not, please let me see what is lol, but that's a HUGE centerpiece, initial cost, and investment. Whatever you were to add on to it, has to be done in the same way you've done this initial modification, not permanently altering it, so yeah... But man, I can so totally see the scene I discribed playing out when people come over for dinner or football of whatever. Unicron talking and interacting with people would make you freakin Grand Nerd Master Yoda! Sorry to ramble, but not sorry. Just too cool a topic of discussion lol
I meant to point out that those strips I talk about in volume 1, chapter 12 are so cheap. I got two 65 foot ones with all those control methods for under $30! Didn't say anything about that, after leading up to it lol
You know it's funny that after all these years I still can't get over the fact they used the roar of the 1980's Incredible Hulk cartoon Hulk for Unicron's roar.
Got it. Thanks for uploading and sharing. You're a genius.
Thanks. Glad you like it.
This is amazing, my friend. I commented over on FB and came here.
Thank you!
this is awesome

I've build Neopixel blasters. A lot of the hardware and code is a bit overkill for this.
@@cchobbyfun1 this "overkill" you speak of.... I'm unaware of the term.. Ask my desfan lol

Unicron: I have summoned you to come play with me
Kid: nobody summons Billy
Unicron: then it pleases me to be the first
I have ripped the entire sound file from the movie and even with it in 7.1 surround I can not get the vocals cleaned up from the background.

Wow! Never knew that but now that you mention it , it's hard to miss.
How much did it cost you?
As a Star Trek fan I get an endorphin rush when someone says Subroutine. I don't know why.
Very cool
*now make a life size Unicron and make it eat earth*
But earth is where they make transformers toys...
Hmph, porqueria. 🤨
LOL! Opinions vary
