Okay here me out. I like smite 2, but i feel like its a big arena mode with objectives... Ive played so much conquest matches where the whole teams just run together cause no one stays in their lanes. Everyone is ganking even before starting buffs. Its fun! Dont get me wrong. Its just feels like Arena mode with conquest objectives, also, you don't need to destroy all the Phoenix's to kill the titan, you just need to kill 4 gods and gank one lane and destroy the titan. It's easier and more brawler. This is just my intake on it so far lol love the game though! Definitely doesn't feel like smite 1
But that's normal for a new game. Especially in alpha. People are trying new things. Seeing what they can make work. The meta hasn't solidified yet. I'm just wanting until people realize they can probably run an invade

smite 2 just feels bad and all the habilitties feel weird, ngl for me is uglier and clunky, the UI is the worst looking thing. I get that is an alpha but I hope they are able to make it feel good, rn is just garbage that looks better
There is no chance I ever touch Smite 2. I gave Hirez so much of my money for the god pack and so many skins with the understanding that I would have those to use as long as Smite was a thing and then they just side step it by releasing the same game on a different engine. No way! In Overwatch 2 I still have everything I had in Overwatch 1 which at least seems fair to me, but what Hirez is doing there is no excuse for.
It just boils down till they don't want to use the resources on it, just like right now, they act like they're going to get 100 gods by the official first season, when they haven't made but 17 this entire year, to get the 120 guys. We won't be at full God's, till season 5 of smites who, let that sink in@@evo3212
Im upset that smite 2 advertised how you get your gems from smite 1, but didn’t mention how you gotta buy the new currency to use them still. Was a real bummer
Actually scammer behavior from hi-rez, same goes for all the "cross gen" skins where half of the ones in smite 1 aren't even in smite 2 yet with some of the gods that have those skins not even being in yet.
I have bought the Smite 2 access almost right away bcs i love smite 1 and i just naturally thought its gonna be the same, but better looking. Yeah nah. I dunno what it is about the engine and graphics, but i despise it. Everything looks too shiny and for example the damage numbers are straight up vomit inducing. The biggest offender for me tho is the reworked item system. It feels just like they just needlessly copied DOTA and LOL and their "component" based item build. I much prefer Smite 1 system of basically selecting a "route" for your item instead. I obviously know that Smite 2 is in diapers pretty much now, so im not writing it off for good. But i will definitely wait until its at least fully released and smite 1 shuts down, before i give it a proper go again.
when will smite 2 be optimized enough to actually play on a mid level pc. not everyone has supercomputers and it shouldnt be running as bad as it does.
I dislike watching conquest games. I’ve tried, it’s just too slow and boring. I look forward to your 1v1 content though, and I’ll likely start diving into Smite 2 when they roll out Joust, fix the store on console, and make building great again.
smite 2 matchmaking sucks. whether its the system, the player count, it not being implemented, at the end of the day the reason doesnt matter cause it's borderline unplayable to solo queue
Oh yeah well if SMITE 2 is so good why is there no SMITE 2^2? I really do like the game though but brother it is not normal to lose 5 ranked games in a row. Like I’m literally hard stuck amber cause my teammates don’t have the mental to not f6 at by 15 minutes.
Could you do a series of trying to play every Moba on your variety channel? Including everything from popular mobile moba’s to dota and league. I think it will be enjoyable to see you how you learn/adapt or suffer through them
The main reason I dont have much interest in Smite 2 right now is the conquest map is soooooo big and soooooooooooo slow. My favorite smite maps were the narrower ones, not these giant circular maps. So i am looking forward to the smaller maps. Maybe joust, but definitely clash or slash.
I love smite, only game I consistently played for a long while. I thought I would be binging smite 2 tbh. Just didn’t get that urge to, I don’t even play it tbh
@@abelgonzalez158 It's funny bc on steam there is only a 1.5k-2k player count difference for Steam. I know this doesn't include console numbers, but it is cool to see so many people investing into Smite 2 even in closed Alpha.

Seems to me the only people enjoying Smite 2 are the pros and streamers. All due respect Sam, I'm probably gonna hold off on the Smite 2 stuff til duel comes out. sam i would like your opionion on something me myself is an old player of smite, been player for 10 years now and for a reason of i enjoy the game few things bothered me about smite 2 being: on one hand, my and a friend of mine who played for 10 years aswell, non of us received an open beta key to try the game another thing is: we both actually spend a decent amount of money and have limited\unlimited are skins some of then t5 aswell, launching up smite 2 basically means all the hours and money put into that game went into nothing just like that, in my opinion hi-rez should respect their community more on terms of alpha keys but it's too late for that now, but atleast let us transfer skins into smite 2
The long answer is Unreal 3 is not the same as Unreal 5. You cannot just slap old models onto a new engine and call it a day. Unreal 3 uses an archaic bone system. When Epic came out with Ue4 they tried their hardest to get people to use Ue4. Go try and download it, they will strongly suggest trying Ue4 because Ue3 has a LOT of issues with it. Without getting into the nitty gritty, the code logic runs differently. Plus you cannot just slap in a model and expect it to look pretty. Especially with Ue5's new animation system. Everyone would look like a DBZ character in a Ps2 game. Cartoony polygon style with no bump map mixed with insane Ue5 nanite lighting. The short answer is Ue3 is ass. Spending time porting skins over from a shitty engine to a prettier one will put a strain on hi-rez's wallet. As an old player of smite, I don't mind speaking for the community when i say we need a new engine if new Gods are going to be added with mechanics that simply aren't possible on Ue3 without a lot of smoke and mirrors. The new engine will allow for easier bug fixes, quicker God releases because animating has never been simpler, and who knows what else. As it stands, Smite 1 Code is a big bowl of spaghetti and we're one Morrigan ult away from breaking it all apart.
Hi-Rez has already explained countless times why they can't transfer the skins. Smite 1 is a 12+ year old game with 12+ years of content. It's not possible for them to transfer that much stuff over to a brand new engine that's 20 years newer than Smite 1. Every skin they make has to be completely remodeled and recreated for the Smite 2 engine, and nothing can be just simply "transfered" over due to incompatibility. Besides, because of all this, they are giving playing 100% of ALL THE GEMS they've ever spent BACK TO YOU in smite 2. And you're able to use that same currency you've ALREADY SPENT, to help pay for brand new content in Smite 2. And if you get a founders pack for just $30, you get the new God pack, exclusive skins and 2x your Legacy Gems. Meaning Hi-Rez is giving people back 200% OF ALL THE GEMS THEY'VE EVER SPENT OVER THE ENTIRETY OF SMITE 1. To me this is more than generous. And if you have all those skins, there's a good chance you have hundreds of thousands of legacy gems as well. They also stated that they WILL be adding skins from smite 1, in fact there's already multiple of them already in SMITE 2. And they're 100% free if you use legacy gems.
@@ImmortalMarshmallow i did not mean for them to transfer everything, only limited things like t5 skins, back then you would be willing to spend a good chunk of money/time to acquire them, atleast keep those
Or try the game when it’s not an early access one, hades was review bombed at the start of its alpha and then almost won game of the year as an indie studio
I'll probably start watching your Smite 2 duel content, and I agree with the notion that Smite 2 is simply where were going, love it or hate it. That said, I'm not playing it, and I disagree that it's better than 1 at the moment. It just needs more... I'm bored with Smite 1, I don't know who I want to play with 150+ gods... I sure as hell don't want to play with 20 and a completely imbalanced mess (I understand why balance isn't important to them at the moment, but as a player it's pretty important).
I’m really happy HiRez did not abandon Duel and Joust in Smite 2. Hopefully the duel meta will get better in there as well.

@@dragonhero14 yeah that's trueeee lol I love the game though! Besides some bugs, it's smooth and it looks amazing! It doesn't have that normal conquest feel of smite 1 which is understandable since you said it's alpha, as well as a new game. I'm just hype to see this game grow more
18:21 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When will the smite 2 run down video be
My main man got rockblocked. Tragic
smite 2 just feels bad and all the habilitties feel weird, ngl for me is uglier and clunky, the UI is the worst looking thing. I get that is an alpha but I hope they are able to make it feel good, rn is just garbage that looks better
It's only in alpha nothing in the game right now is final it literally says it in the game
Yeah he says he knows it’s alpha and hope it’s get better, you just got defensive
@@ohfire2565 Yet you have to pay money to play. I know it's an early version, but I don't think that it is a good showing right now.
You said it looks worse, but better in the same statement lmao k
Serqet is op and so underrated
There is no chance I ever touch Smite 2. I gave Hirez so much of my money for the god pack and so many skins with the understanding that I would have those to use as long as Smite was a thing and then they just side step it by releasing the same game on a different engine. No way! In Overwatch 2 I still have everything I had in Overwatch 1 which at least seems fair to me, but what Hirez is doing there is no excuse for.
100%, stupid decision by hi rez
yea and the whole it would take 100s of years of manpower as if they don't release a full fledged copy cat game every other year.
It just boils down till they don't want to use the resources on it, just like right now, they act like they're going to get 100 gods by the official first season, when they haven't made but 17 this entire year, to get the 120 guys. We won't be at full God's, till season 5 of smites who, let that sink in@@evo3212
Eh smite 2 just looks like amite in 2014
Im upset that smite 2 advertised how you get your gems from smite 1, but didn’t mention how you gotta buy the new currency to use them still.
Wow....
smite 2 matchmaking sucks. whether its the system, the player count, it not being implemented, at the end of the day the reason doesnt matter cause it's borderline unplayable to solo queue
Fineokay is soloQ only and has a 67% win rate in diamond currently.
@@SamDaDudeyou do have a point I just need to start playing like an insane gamer like you or him
Could you do a series of trying to play every Moba on your variety channel? Including everything from popular mobile moba’s to dota and league. I think it will be enjoyable to see you how you learn/adapt or suffer through them
finally serqet
Hi sam
Smite 2 isnt better than 1.
Finally Smite 2 was so boring its not even smite. They should call it paragon 2.
I'm not agree with you Sam, smite it's better to watch than smite 2. I don't like watch smite 2 actually
I love smite, only game I consistently played for a long while. I thought I would be binging smite 2 tbh. Just didn’t get that urge to, I don’t even play it tbh
The player base is way too small at the moment I think
@@abelgonzalez158 It's funny bc on steam there is only a 1.5k-2k player count difference for Steam. I know this doesn't include console numbers, but it is cool to see so many people investing into Smite 2 even in closed Alpha.
i just don’t care to watch conquest anymore
The reason I don’t care to watch smite 2 content is simply the game looks awful to me. Smite 1 feels like it has a soul and smite 2 looks like they just tried modernizing it with busted graphics.
Seems to me the only people enjoying Smite 2 are the pros and streamers. All due respect Sam, I'm probably gonna hold off on the Smite 2 stuff til duel comes out. The game is so horribly balanced right now that even watching the games isn't fun. Looking forward to seeing the number one dueler set the standard here in a few weeks though. Ciao
sam i would like your opionion on something
me myself is an old player of smite, been player for 10 years now and for a reason of i enjoy the game
few things bothered me about smite 2 being: on one hand, my and a friend of mine who played for 10 years aswell, non of us received an open beta key to try the game
another thing is: we both actually spend a decent amount of money and have limited\unlimited
are skins some of then t5 aswell, launching up smite 2 basically means all the hours and money put into that game went into nothing just like that, in my opinion hi-rez should respect their community more on terms of alpha keys but it's too late for that now, but atleast let us transfer skins into smite 2
@@ImmortalMarshmallow i did not mean for them to transfer everything, only limited things like t5 skins, back then you would be willing to spend a good chunk of money/time to acquire them, atleast keep those
is hirez pushing content creators to push smite 2? all of a sudden all of you started streaming smite 2 out of nowhere....
Tried the alpha and i did not feel comfortable playing it at all. Ill probably quit when they abandon smite 1 unfortunately.
Or try the game when it’s not an early access one, hades was review bombed at the start of its alpha and then almost won game of the year as an indie studio
smite 2 just looks so bad
Paid smite 2 shrill
I'll probably start watching your Smite 2 duel content, and I agree with the notion that Smite 2 is simply where were going, love it or hate it. That said, I'm not playing it, and I disagree that it's better than 1 at the moment. It just needs more... I'm bored with Smite 1, I don't know who I want to play with 150+ gods... I sure as hell don't want to play with 20 and a completely imbalanced mess (I understand why balance isn't important to them at the moment, but as a player it's pretty important).
"smite" 2 is the death of smite, that thing is killing smite and it's not smite, it's league in a smite skin.
