Stray Kids are the best in K-pop quite honestly. They are generally a bridge into the genre for people who’ve never been interested in it before. Their sound is entirely different from other groups and have generally been disliked by a lot of K-poppies for it. Even more so now that they are growing so fast globally. 🤣 Lyrically their music is top-tier. I know the subtitles are hard but it’s worth it to pause and take them in. they use complex metaphors, word play and more, which can confuse people who don’t know how to critically consume.
saying “the best” is a reach lol. they’re a great group don’t get me wrong. but they are even far from being ONE of the best let alone THE best.

They have two English native speakers (they're Australian), so you will find a lot of good English lyrics. Especially because they are almost completely self produced, they are really one of a kind and not comparable to any other group. One of their newest fully English songs is "super bowl", but they have English versions of other songs, too. But some of their best rap heavy songs are in Korean, so when you're a little bit more used to the language you'll love them. 🔥🔥🔥
Stray Kids has the strongest Rap-line in 4th Gen Kpop group.
Stray Kids fan base is actually probably bigger outside of Korea. They have often been known for their "noisy music" which hasn't always appealed within Korea but you may be surprised by some of their more melodic and vocally driven tracks. Most of the time, Kpop won't be in English but there are smatterings of it throughout. Stray Kids also includes two Australians and many members speak and all understand English. If you'd like an English track, try out a recent song called Superbowl (but there is no English MV) or Stray Kids "Double Knot (English Ver.)" Performance Video. Otherwise it's a matter of getting used to the language. There are fans who put out colour coded lyric videos which can help you understand the lyrics before/after you watch the MVs. Also, they are very creative with their lyrics and there are a lot of metaphors and wordplay which you just don't get in the one language. For example, I mentioned "noisy" music. They decided to run with that and one of their older albums was called "No-Easy" Say that fast and you get "noisy". Anyway, someone already mentioned 3RACHA for drill which is both a rap song and the name of the core producing sub-unit of Stray Kids made of of three members - the leader Bang Chan (Aussie), Changhin and Han. i think since the beginning they already knew that their sound will not be accepted by the korean nor kpop fans in general, that is why they called themselves “stray”. and i respect their boldness to stay to their core no matter what. if you look at their growth it’s really step by step, little by little.. it’s so genuine and authentic.. it’s hard not to respect their talent and effort cos it is indeed IMPRESSIVE

They have a mini album coming out on November 10th called Rockstar. Highly recommend reacting to Venom, 3Racha, Easy, God's Menu. In terms of the English. This song came out a couple years ago. In my opinion, I think they added a little bit more English in their music since then but it is Korean pop music so it doesn't bother me, either way, because I am used to it. 2 of the members Bangchan and Felix are fluent in English and Han and Hyunjin can speak english as well but not as fluent.

I’ve learned since listening to kpop that it’s a business, not a genre. And Stray Kids are very experimental with lots of different styles and genres. If you want drill i suggest listening to Stray Kids 3Racha. They have sooo many songs… If you want a song all in english I suggest the lyric video for Superbowl, not the music video because that one is in japanese.

Their producing unit is called 3racha which consist of 3 members of Stray Kids (abbreviated as SKZ) namely - Bang Chan - the leader of the group, he is also the one who selected all the members of the groups, the other two members of 3racha are rappers Changbin and Han. I find Stray Kids's music unique. They are the reason why I became interested in Kpop, because of their unique music.

Stray Kids are not like other K-pop groups, that's why I fell in love with them, for their uniqueness. I don’t like K-pop at all to be honest, but Stray Kids is a discovery for me. You can listen to their latest album 5 STAR. It is a masterpiece. You can make a reaction to their album by looking at the list of songs, some songs have a music video, some don't. Therefore, it is better to watch the lyric videos for such songs. You will not regret. their MVs are simply gorgeous, as are their songs ❤ and by the way, they are a self-producing group, they write, produce and even arrange their songs themselves.

Stray Kids have a few drill like songs - 3RACHA by 3racha (the 3 producing members), Zone (also by those members), and some dirty beats but maybe not drill music on Venom and HeyDay (by 3racha also). They have a lot of rap songs like N/S, Topline, Muddy Water, Double Knot, Megaverse and many more. But all of their songs have some rap element, even when they are vocal first. Thunderous is probably their most unique, experimental song. Amazing performance quality, but they have so many songs that are even better! Worth the adventure

If you're looking for a unique sound in the kpop world Stray Kids are the way to go!! They are a self producing group who are known for their unique style and music. They have eight members and all eight members can rap, sing and dance. Two of their members are from Australia too. They do mix in English for a lot of their songs but obviously as they are a kpop group they CHOOSE to primarily use their native tongue.

Skz actually have a heavy international fan base including non-English speakers. They have songs with more English lyrics. But as an english speaker it is not necessary. They shouldn't compromise what kpop is then that would just be pop......

As for the song recommendations, they dropped full album back in June called 5 star, I recommend S-class, Hall of Fame, Supper Bowl, Topline, Item (other songs are good as well but not so rap heavy) as for the older songs, before the 5 Star album, definitely Gods menu, Maniac, Easy; subunit ( 3-4 out of the group) songs Muddy water, 3Racha are rap heavy, if you want to mix in a little bit of rock then Slump (there is full English version of this song) and very resent Social path (featuring Japanese artist Lisa) is also have quite a bit of English lyrics as well.

They're saying that they're going to keep experimenting and making the music they want to make, no matter what people say about them.
Now, all of this is actually a parallel to Stray Kids real life story. When they debuted they weren't that much successful. And during all their career they've been heavily criticized for the different sound they bring to kpop. They are just too different for society to like them. This didn't stop them, and after "God's Menu" they've managed to grow a lot, therefore transforming themselves in real life Sorikkun "Thunderous".

If you need an all English song, they have a couple that they have done- Double Knot & Levanter have English versions.
Reading subtitles can be difficult with them because their rappers go fast. It’s best to watch a video once then go back and watch again to catch lyrics, or pull up a color coded lyrics video.

Stray kids actually has an English version to their song 'Double Knot'. Honestly…kpop English versions aren’t normally my favorite. This one is decent enough though. Except for maybe… 🤔 Cupid by Fifty Fifty (the English version blew up on TikTok or whatever).
Thunderous is a great song, but Stray Kids have many great songs (just a few fully in English English. Two of the members are from Australia, and many of the members speak English). They are one of the few Kpop groups that produces their own songs. I recommend their song “3Racha”, I think you’d love it. I also recommend you react to their latest album 5Stars.
If you need English, Superbowl is in English (obviously not the Japanese version, though). Also, I believe they have an English version to their song Domino. I'm very much new to Stray Kids and like the English versions they put out because they know they have so many US/Australia fans.

At least not in the WESTERN & probably European industry (YET). There may very well be, better vocalists, dancers, etc, in the countless number of Kpop groups currently active. But amongst those who are making waves. Maybe 1-2 have what it takes to compete with BP & BTS, in the American & European market. Stray kids is definitely one of them😁.
It's not always about having the best voice. Dancing isn't prioritized in the west, as much as it is in the East. If you don't have the attitude, confidence, & ability to be recognized, amongst the sea of artists. Then EVEN if you have GOD LEVEL vocals, you won't make it in the American market.
The fact that SK'ds are notorious enough, to be invited to perform at the VMA's & win an award. Means they already have one foot through the door, & they have the ability to grow. More western artists know about them now. But if they want their brand to grow, outside of the East. They will have to implement more English in their music, & Westernize it a bit more🤷🏻♀️. Collaboration are also very crucial. BP & BTS are notorious for collating with BIG name artists, DJ's, & producers.

Actually Stray kikds are wayyyy more popular internationally than they are in Korea. This song is all about showing Korean culture, the lyrics have a lot to do with traditional Korean things, they use traditional korean instruments, that location is well known Korean landmark(a palace I think), they had tons of traditional Korean dancers in the background, the modern hanboks for the outfits, even the chain they had on the brimmed hat is all traditional Korean. Basically the whole thing is a big middle finger to the people who like to say that theyre too westernized because of their fanbase is mostly international or because two of the members including the leader grew up in Australia so they face a lot of xenophobia. The Korean title is said like Sorrikun and it has a ton of meanings in korea like a noisy person, sound master, and is the title for a type of traditional korean singer/storyteller. Its on an album called No Easy which sounds like noisy because people shit on them for having "noisy music" because they dont get its experimental edm its not gonna sound like radio pop trash. Stray Kids did this to say fuck you to all of their haters and show they dont need to change. They became million sellers with this album now they have the highest selling album in korean history, most of it being bought over seas. In fact the account for 2% of all american album sales which is nuts theyre only behind Taylor Swift. Sorry for the rant lol

Yes they remind me of Bigbang the original kings of kpop! When i found them in 2008, i felt the same way you do about stray kids and i searched and searched and no one sounded like them, theyre style was different and then they influenced 2ne1 and eventuslly all of kpop i recommend them for any Stays! By the way, Stray Kids sang a cover (more of a mash-up as they put their own thing to it) of the Blackpink DuDuDu for Kingdom. Kingdom is a contest between 6 kpop groups and all have to do amazing performances. They sang that song amazing. You would like it, as you like Blackpink.
