Like my parents was born and raised in WGC, so much change has and is happening. Miss the old town as it was, old Railway station should never of been pulled down.
Agreed. In terms of the increased commerce and services it brings, the Howard Centre is a brilliant addition. But in terms of design, inside is okay but dull, and outside? Not ugly (though that's more because it was built late 80s and luckily not the 60s), but it's truly unsympathetic to its surroundings. WGC is a beautiful and unique town, and the Howard Centre is somewhere you could find in almost any town centre. The council should've poured lots of money into creating an exceptional space, maintaining the original station if possible, rather than cutting corners to fund their great vanity project (aka. the Galleria)!!
I was there in '13! Visited two YTers, one a lifelong WGC resident. Easy to get to from London via Paris where I live. Pleasant, helpful people. Looking to go back, but the friends can't put me up and I can't seem to find a place to stay there for September '14. Very fun collection here. Uprated.

Watched it with the sound turned down. Lived in WGC for 37 years not planning on leaving, an excellent place to live and raise a family..
