On the other hand, given the fact that genetic code can also influence a person's mental behavior, it means that she has a mix of both her parents' natural mental behaviors. Some grandparents would say to their son/daughter "You know, you used to behave/respond/react just like that when you were young." or maybe the kid will end up with a gender identity crisis. I dunno.

There probably isn't a deep reason why Anger and Fear are guys, but maybe like Disney Princess movies these days, Pixar just wanted to add some boys to the main cast.
