Good afternoon Madame
Pls clarify me if I'm wrong, this is my cleansing and charging ritual.
1. I gather all my crystals and place them in a shallow dish.
2. I cleanse them by smudging in herbs and incense. I use a combination of frankincense (insenso), thyme and rosemary leaves. I was told oregano, lemongrass and sambong (local variety of sage) can also be used. I smoke the crystals for around 30 seconds each then smudge the corners of the room to drive away lingering negative energies. Then i leave the crystals near the incense until the smoke stops
3. I prefer to charge my crystals in BOTH sunlight and moonlight. I start charging them in late sunset (when sunlight is already gentle) then continue all night in full moon (waning or waxing moon is also good) until sunrise. I remove the stones before 7am because the sun is already getting strong. To protect against the changing weather, I cover the crystals at night using a transparent glass. I avoid sunlight charging on rose quartz, amethyst, aquamarine... because they are sensitive to sunlight. Also i never charge crystals under lunar eclipse, i keep them inside covered in a red cloth
4. Intentions are made upon cleansing and upon charging. I cleanse my crystals at least twice a month, or when someone touched them or absorbed a lot of negative energies. Black tourmaline and black obsidian needed to be cleansed weekly because they absorb a lot of negative, preferably cleansed on a Saturday (ruling planet). Charging is usually made after cleansing, or when i feel they are getting weaker, i trust my intuition.
5. I never expose pyrite.and bloodstone to salt or saltwater..i never let anyone touch my pyrite because it can lose its powers
6. Sunlight charging is favorable to stones that promote success, wealth, growth, abundance and vitality. Moonlight charging is favorable to crystals for intuition,love,healing, protection and meditation. To reap the maximum benefits, i charge both in moonlight and sunlight (late sunset/early sunrise)
7..i was told some stones like rose quartz can be charged in the rain or thunderstorm. But im worried about the detrimental effects of acid rain.

Yes this is accurate. Additionally you can also leave your crystals overnight in silver moonlight. Also a singing bowl is good. Sound vibrations for detoxification. Leave your stones in singing bowl and hit it. Let the sound resonate with stones.
