Can't say I would identify in any way with Alice in wonderland, or elsewhere, especially as I've never watched it. In fact, I've only ever watched one animated Disney film: Robin Hood in 1973 at the cinema and only because my dear old mum took me and my brothers -- good times. Thanks again JSW.
I'm not a big Disney viewer. But the oldest features--SNOW WHITE up to the fifties--have an artistry that is very interesting. I do recommend ALICE, obviously, and PINOCCHIO and FANTASIA. Anyone with a solid knowledge of cinema such as yourself might enjoy these, if only to get an idea of why Disney's been so influential. My favorite animated features are not from Disney--ALLEGRO NON TROPPO, for example. The occassional animated feature is a nice change from all the black and white crime flicks we love.
