This one is truly for the real fans only haha. Apologies for lack of "exciting" content recently, but been very busy. Got engaged this past weekend, spending a lot of time working another project that is coming soon, and the ole day job has been picking up. Not the normal upload but still wanted to put it out for the sake of consistency. Bangers returning next week! Thanks to Alex for hitting. He just moved to Austin from France and does not have an official UTR yet but his French rating translates to about a 7. He is also starting his own channel @tenniscroissant so make sure and subscribe for some more content from him. Thanks always for watching and supporting the channel, let's keep growing this thing!
idk if this is useful but your slices are getting into play but very short, so trying to be more agressive with them in the future maybe could be nice. do whatever you think is best though, im not at your level :) but im sure they would make it trouble for Trey. Also Trey could put more of them away in the future when he gets better.
As a long time watcher this is the best you've played! Really hung in there with your forehand on a ton of points against a quality opponent. The net stuff is a work in progress but your whole game is definitely coming together!
Great playing I like this type of video as well! No idea what's going on with the scoring a few points in the video like how does alex lose the point at 12:32
Alex did win that point. Treys reaction confirms it. It was 40-15 after that point but the rest of the game was edited out. He’s not showing every point, probably doesn’t want to make the vid too long.
Loving it. I think a key takeaway for you both is to bend your knees more. You have to meet the ball like the pros do especially when the bounce is lower
I think one way to improve your net game dramatically is to stop and split step before your opponent hits the ball. You're charging the net and trying to hit a volley on the run.
It’s like a wall that separates beginners from advanced players. Pros use a split step practically 100% of the time before hitting any ball except for the serve. Yet beginners will pay more attention to what string their favorite player uses than executing a universal constant that all advanced players utilize.😢🤔🤯🤬
I understand what you are trying to say, but they're intermediate players. They won't be hitting low, heavy balls all the time. Also in modern tennis high spin, heavy shots are used more often.
That’s simply not true. Statistically the only time that shot should be hit is when you are well inside the court. The reason being that this type of shot is used to remove time from the opponent, but if used at the baseline it also takes time from yourself. Unless you have perfect consistency and accuracy it will just give the opponent the ball back faster. This means they will be able to redirect the shot somewhere else while you’re still scrambling to recover. Still not convinced? Make sure to also acknowledge the extreme amount of body involvement and energy this requires. It will fatigue you; making you slower, less mentally sharp, and more susceptible to making mistakes. Essentially this shot can be effective, but only in certain situations and it definitely shouldn’t be what you try to hit every time. I hope this clears any possible confusion. ❤
@@LaneZinke I actually love to hit that type of shot since I am more of a flat hitter, but I don't hit it to the middle or straight back to the opponent. I like to make them run.
@@gab_ale that’s not entirely a bad thing. Let me be clear, having a wide variety and range of shot you can hit is best. Nevertheless we are not pros and, so, we naturally have individualized tendencies. If you have a deep and thorough understanding of tactics and strategies as well as a good sense of body positioning you can make essentially any style of hitting work to a certain level. If flatter hitting works for you keep doing it. 👍
looks like you're still hitting too many balls at or above your shoulder, really need to work on stepping in and taking them earlier. Hot damn your serve is amazing though! Congrats on your engagement!
Simply having unbalanced forehands with good power not going to take you far past 3.5. Double faults along with foot faults, backhand, and net play just killing your game. Still time to improve!
Spot on. Good serve, good forehand, decent backhand, but net game isn't on par with rest of his game. Basically to me it looks like Trey loses to players because of poor decision making. Look you have a killer forehand. But what is the point of hitting so hard that you might occasionally miss when there was no opportuntiy for a winner anyway. If your oppenent is going ot get the shot back don't take so much risk. I think you would be less happy with your game but would probably win more if you simply hit medium pace for two balls before going for the harder hits. Like it or not people at our level make mistakes, so give your opponent a chance to hand YOU a point instead of continually just handing THEM points. All out all the time is not a winning strategy.
@@TenisAmador Umm. Sorry to burst your bubble but he’s not a 4-4.5. Ratings are subjective and mostly defined by match play. But we’ve been down this hole before and won’t comment any further.. lol
1) I understand the situation but the commentary is what makes the channel special. 2) There were several times when running down short balls that you should have stopped thinking “Tennis Player” and taken your left hand off the racket and pumped your arms independently like a “Athlete” during the hard acceleration phase of the run. No need to handcuff your speed both literally and figuratively. You can reestablish the left hand contact with the racket during the last couple of steps to the ball if necessary. 3) I imagine the conversation went like this. “Dude both are girlfriends are watching us play. If you promise not to pick on my backhand and make me look bad I promise to do the same for you.” “It’s a deal” unfortunately both of you seemed to have honored the deal. 🤨

Damn son congrats on the engagement!
Congrats! Love just watching some good tennis
Your improvement since you started this channel is insane - great work!
Ripping some forehands 💪 Thanks for inviting me Trey !
Now I want to eat a croissant with coffee. P.S. Make your life easier and attack Trey's backhand all day.
Back at it soon!

Am I seeing wrong or was the serve at 1:10 in?
That serve... was 100% in
I would even say his first serve was in too
🔥video bro this is some clean hitting
Tennis and ASMR. Two of my favorite things!
U got any plans on being in NC soon ? Would love to have a match
Great fight in coming all the way back!
This sounds like sum id fall asleep to lol
13:35 is actually what each shot should be , instead of the floating FH, throughout the game.

You’re at a 6.4 UTR? I would like to test that rating

Gotta work on that backhand my man

I feel like getting confidence in taking the ball early is the hardest part of the intermediate - advanced curve, but it really is so important

He’s damn good considering he’s only been playing for like a year or so. Its not as if every aspect of the game will develop at the same rate.
He is at a 6.4 UTR, with 100% reliability. That means he currently is at high 4.0 or low 4.5 level.
