I was initially planning to not get an agency but I was advised by a relative of mine who also went through the student visa application to get an agency so that in case of visa denial, agencies have lawyers who can appeal for your case.
Well, its case per case. But if you've followed the process as advised by the school then you will be alright. Complete all your documents and comply to all requirements such as paying the prescribed tuition, passing the required English language scores, etc. It's even better, I think, if you have relatives within Canada (Vancouver area) to help you with all the requirments.
Dont let that to stop you!! You can either come with a friend or by yourself. There are lots of option to rent a room in a house which include all utilities that way you wont have to deal with that.

Hi Ms. @Glaire Cartago, I am in dire need of answer to this question, about the FBI thingy, I studied in US twice as an exchange student, one was back in 2011-2012 as a High school exchange student, and the latest one is a five weeks workshop in USA last June-July 2019. However, none of my stay was I able to be employed, both were just for study experiences.

I suggest not to apply through agency they will just cost you huge amount of money. I applied through VFS (direct through embassy) after two months, I got my visa. I never took IELTS exam also.
Is this for a student visa? The IELTS is for the school you will be applying for in Canada. Some schools do require a certain grade for IELTS for you to get in.
Yes, it's student visa. Just check the studypermitcanadadiy ph Facebook page. I learned a lot from them . It is my last term here at Red Deer College 😁
Considering the return on investment and keeping in mind the part-time and full-time work opportunities, Canada is the most affordable option for international students.

Hello, Glaire. Good day. Thanks for this very informative video. May I know if, applying through SDS, full payment of 1st year of tuition fees and GIC of CAD$ 10,000 will be enough as proof of funds? Will these suffice the application requirement? I've learned from others that we still need to provide bank certifications and statements, but I don't seem to find this as a requirement in the website of IRCC particularly in the SDS section of the site. Also, for the Study Plan and the Letter of Explanation, I don't find them either as part of the needed requirements under the same Student Direct Stream (SDS). I hope you can enlighten and help me. Thanks, Glaire.
Malaki poba Nagastos nyo gusto kopo sana mag college dyan next year pagtapos ng senior high magkano kaya magagastos? And Saan po legit na makakapag register
Hello Glaire, I went to fortrust in makati last weekand . THe consutant said If Im decided I need to pay and deposit to BDO account a whoping 38000 PHP and then I can proceed with them. I was entertained well with my inquiry and got idea for student visa but the fee was a bomber.
Wow! I had no idea they increased their lawyer’s fee. I should probably ask them about this and put the updated amount on the description box. Thank you for letting me know!
I recently checked about Fortrust agency, but I saw a certain comment that says Fortrust's words and promises are false, because all the free services aren't really for free, and they made him pay in the end. Is this really true? 'Cos I really want to apply in ths agency. 😞 @glairecartago
Ayessa Camille Suba Hi, speaking from experience, Fortrust's services are free. Getting into the country where you wish to study, however, isn't. They do not offer full-ride scholarships so you will definitely bring out some money. Studying abroad is costly. And the only way to study abroad for free is through full-ride scholarships and sponsors.
hi, my sis want me to study in canada. and she wanted to sponsor me. btw, im in 11th grade. and i just wanna ask if it's possible na makakakuha kami ng LOA sa school na gusto ko pong pag aralan? bcs puro college topic po kasi lang napapanood ko na nag i-international student, and none of them saying na they're Grade 12. Possible po kaya?
hi i want to know if i can apply for an international student even i'm only high school graduate.i enrolled in college in first semester unfortunately i didn't completed it so in my credential it shows INC.(Iincomplete)Which credential im going to present, is it my high school credentials or my college credentials which is incomplete.I requested from 137 in the school i study in high school and they also gave me the good moral same with my college school.I also heard you mention about the FBI,is that same with the police clearance issued in saudi once to come back home after working in saudi?i already got my police clearance that tells i have no criminal records before i left saudi. is that same of the FBI you mentioned?
btw i got an answer and i was advise that it's possible and to make sure that the school is from DLI list and the program is Post Graduate Work Permit. i hope this helps
Hi Dave and Rogie Ann! Yes, it’s possible. Might not be as easy as picking a program that’s related to your previous course, but just make sure you can defend it on your SOP. ☺️ Good luck!
hello po magaapply napo ako by january pero naguguluhan po ako anong credentials po e pepresent ko.nakapag enroll po ako ng first sem pero di ko po natapos yong t.o.r record ko is incomplete.pwede po ba ako ba magamit yong sa high school records ko po or yon talagang sa college na pero Incomplete please advice me
This video is amazing Glaire.. i was an international student here in Canada as well particularly in Calgary, Alberta. Now, I'm on PGWP already and just waiting for the approval of my PR. Goodluck to you.
Hi glaire i inquire for agency and the show money was 1m should i just do it on my own na lang yung process?. I think 10000 cad lang naman ang show money.
Hi Miss Glaire! Thanks for your videos, some of it really helped me in researching. Can you please make a video on How should a filipino student choose a collage and a program? I am really having a hard time in choosing mine especially that previously my coursee is architecture. Hoping and will appreciate for your response. Thank you
I got in thru an agency in Makati. Never paid anything to them. Paid tuition to the school, Gic to the bank, and visa fee directly to the cic website. I asked them what are they getting from it, my counselor said that the school is paying them. My tuition fee is 16k cad for 1 year. So I suggest go to an agency make sure your school is a public school and never go for a private school.
Do you have sample answers for questions posted by the host school where you will be enrolled... Like the pre questions study plan to be concrete... Thanks for your help...

Some information are helpful but it's not organized and there are some details that are not mentioned and would somehow won't apply in general especially applicants coming from the Philippines or in other country. Mess up information might confuse viewers.
For the info, it's very basic to secure first an LOA from a designated learning Institution in Canada. Documents to provide are:
Valid passport, School Credentials from High school to college such as; highschool and college diploma, highschool and college transcript and some schools requires you to send an updated resume. It might require an IELTS but some schools requires only Certificate of English as a medium of instruction. It really depends on what school you want to apply. In addition as well, you also need to prepare some visa needed documents.
In general, this documents are needed:
LOA
TUITION RECEIPT
NBI - must be 2 months latest
Police clearance - if stayed in other country for more than 6 months.
FBI - If stayed in US for more than 6 months
Passport stamp - if applicable.
Employment documents
Proof of funds/ show money.
Then there are lot that follows. Long list of documents to comply.
And the most crucial is the Study Plan or Statement of Purpose. Since wala ng interview Ang student visa application.
And for the additional expenses to prepare, these are:
Visa fee: 150 cad
Biometrics: 85 CAD
Medical: estimated range from 13k - 15k pesos (could be IOM, St Luke's or Nationwide Clinic)
There are no fees for VFS cuz they are the receiving body for your visa application. Additional as well, you could choose for online or paper based submission.

Possible po kaya?

Is it possible to get accepted by a school assuming that I would pick a course which is not related to what I studied here in the Philippines?
I have the same question lol
@@rogieann508 Are you also applying as an international student in Canada?
@@davevillaruelofficial not yet but i'm planning to 😅
btw i got an answer and i was advise that it's possible and to make sure that the school is from DLI list and the program is Post Graduate Work Permit. i hope this helps
Hi Dave and Rogie Ann! Yes, it’s possible. Might not be as easy as picking a program that’s related to your previous course, but just make sure you can defend it on your SOP. ☺️ Good luck!

Planning also to go to fortrust education. Thankyou
How much all the cost after you go to canada
Hi glaire i inquire for agency and the show money was 1m should i just do it on my own na lang yung process?. I think 10000 cad lang naman ang show money.
Show money is 10K CAD plus your one year worth of tuition. But yeah, mag DIY ka nalang malaki fees ng ibang agency e.
Hi Miss Glaire! Thanks for your videos, some of it really helped me in researching. Can you please make a video on How should a filipino student choose a collage and a program? I am really having a hard time in choosing mine especially that previously my coursee is architecture. Hoping and will appreciate for your response. Thank you
Is it hard to study in Canada without any relatives there?
hello maam good day how to apply in canada studying no fee
So i can i apply a full funded scholarship???
I got in thru an agency in Makati. Never paid anything to them. Paid tuition to the school, Gic to the bank, and visa fee directly to the cic website. I asked them what are they getting from it, my counselor said that the school is paying them. My tuition fee is 16k cad for 1 year. So I suggest go to an agency make sure your school is a public school and never go for a private school.
True! Thanks for the input!
which agency is this? looking forwardfor your response
iprilz AMS Global.
