I truly don’t get how people say Herbert isn’t legit or that he’s not good. It genuinely BAFFLES me. My guy has shown time and time again and again that he’s a dawg. His defense the past couple years has been ATROCIOUS. His coaching has been lackluster to say the least. He now finally has a great head coach and finally a defense that can actually hold down teams. Yes there are still some growing pains in this new offense but none of that is on Herbert. He’s even playing with a messed up ankle and is still killing it. He is a DAWG ⚡️
Herbert has always been elite. The Chargers have been bad. For whatever reason people are unable to separate QB skill from team wins. No QB in the league would win games with a defense that allowed 30 points/game. But Herbert has a defense now and is ballin even without top tier WR talent
Gotta say, it's funny that everyone is trying to use the injuries as a reason the Saints lost the way they did. The Panthers had a starting DT out for the season, starting LB out for the season, center out for the season, starting tackle out, WRs were out with injury, and the list goes on. The Saints can't get credit for losing because of the injuries when the team they were playing were just as injured.
every other team can throw the injury excuse and everyone says justified. When it comes to the Chargers and Herbert they say a great QB overcomes that. I hate that shit.
Herberts nowhere near playing as good as he has in previous years, it just seems like he is since he doesn't have to carry the chargers and they are winning
I wouldn’t say he’s not playing as good, I’d say he’s not compiling as many stats. It’s not like he’s throwing wildly or throwing picks all the time, etc.
Since his high ankle sprain healed (mostly) he’s been perfect. Soon as the Chargers get three score up, they just start running. It works. His only 350-yard game was the close loss to Arizona - because he had to keep throwing. (And should have won, fluke fumbelthru EZ for touchback.) He has almost no healthy receivers. Leading receiver at AZ was Dissly, our blocking tight end. Herbert has been perfect.
Herbert’s a fantastic QB and can slice and dice a defense to pieces if given a clean pocket…he can put just about every throw in the book on the money with the smallest of windows to operate in…he can run, but he’s not shifty or elusive. When is protection breaks down it’s very difficult for him to operate. This is one reason why Mahomes is so elite…when things break down or don’t go perfectly he can extend a busted play into a huge gain. For herbert to become truly elite he will need to master the art of sliding and stepping up in the pocket in the way that guys like Brady and Manning mastered over the years.
@@soccertots1552 nope. He’s the best QB under pressure in the NFL. Can throw going either way. And he’s under pressure a lot. Playing way better than Mahomes.
I still think he’s playing unbelievable this year, but I also think he has been way better in previous years, purely because of how much harder of a job he had in previous years.
I thought we learned Herbert was legit during his rookie season.
He been that dude he just has a legit defense that isn’t blowing games for them anymore so they’re winning
We did stud. Those headlines are click bait
Dude went toe to toe with some greats as a rookie
He's a charger, they will never get any respect or truthful reporting.
We had clowns like Samuel Acho calling him “social media qb” during the Brandon Staley era
This clip doesn’t mention Justin Herbert until 9:18
Using his name for clicks but will immediately claim he sucks after 1 bad game.
Thanks!
Hero
Thank you!
Herbert is going to win Chargers their first superbowl he’s definitely legit
Herbert was also dealing with a high ankle sprain. That limited some of the play calling earlier in the season.
We had clowns like Samuel Acho calling him “social media qb” during the Brandon Staley era
I will never let Acho off the hook for that stupid bullshit.
While he was breaking record after record.

Thumbnail is so stupid. What is this narrative that Herbert isn’t good. He’s absolutely legit. Top 5 qb in the league. What are we talking about?
A lot of people would have disagreed just last year unfortunately
Critics seem to forget Herbert had a 5k yards, 40+ td season.

@@marcusgerard6331100 percent. And they finally have a competent coaching staff
Herbert 10 to 1 td to interception ratio is insane
I think Herbert looked off those safeties on the two TD passes. That’s what happens when you give him 2.5 seconds to throw the ball.
But dude, he got sacked six times in the first HALF. he’s just unflappable. Our team has problems, but not at QB.
@ Myles Garrett is a beast.
Herbert’s been that guy
People forget Justin Herbert was hurt during the first portion of the year. What were see now is a healthy Herbert
Herbo has been legit. His Coaches and D sucked before Harbaugh
Love the bit about Michael Thomas calling Derek Carr ass lol I’ve known this for a long time
anyone doubting Herbert at this point doesn't have their head screwed on correctly. Dude's been a top 3-5 QB his entire time in the league

STOP USING HERBERT AND THE CHARGERS AS CLICK BAIT LOSERS @cbs the whole video was about other trash talk

That hairline, dude, change rugs
Zion at Guard should not be starting.
PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT MY QB
Trevor Penning is awful.
I watched him closely a couple games. He’s not great, but not that bad. It’s the RG and C - but they’re banged up I think.
