Wouldn't have been mad if that was the case. For me HIMYM peaked in Season 2. Surprised Season 5 got so high, but then again I didn't realise the Playbook was that season. When I think Season 5, all that comes to mind is the 100th episode.
You cannot mention Season 9 without mentioning one of the most, if not the best episode of How I Met Your Mother which is How Your Mother Met Me. Yes, Season 9 was kind of lackluster but the mere fact that How Your Mother Met Me was never even mentioned angers me to the deept fiery pits of my soul

(The comedy is also on spot) I also liked it because it represents well so many things like Ted and Robin's friendship, Barny and Nora/Quinn, Robin and Kevin
Season 3 was the best for me with memorable episodes like Slapgivings, How I met everyone else, Spoiler Alert, and moments like 2 min date. It also involved a lot of character development.
If they were gonna divorce Swarkles and kill the mother, they should’ve at least fleshed it out and not focus 22 episodes on the wedding (but either way, robin and ted ending is still wrong)

Yeah spending more time with Barney & Robin than any other couple aside Marshall & Lily, only to break them apart for nothing. Their original vision & ending is only comparable to GRRM’s ASOIAF versus Thrones story.

Honestly I liked the title but i partially agree with you. Robin and Barney could have got married in 9x16 so that we could process and understand better what happened in those years. I liked season 9 but it could have been even better
if you dont count the finale, season 9 was my favourite I just loved the premise that everything happened on the same weekend because it made the episodes more closely related to each other and have even stronger continuity than the rest. also we got ALL the answers. i can see why you wouldnt like it tho, because it can seem stretched
Exactly. The finale was really bad (other than lily and Marshall’s ending which is perfect) but all the other episodes in season 9 was really amazing and I’m glad we found out Barneys job and how they showed Tracy meeting and bonding with all the characters

Contraversal opinion...other than the very ending, I actually really loved season 9. Getting to see the mom meet everyone one by one, and then getting to see her journey to Ted, (not to mention the slap bet finale) was nothing short of amazing. I thought the whole season was really well pieced together, and it really showboated the timline hopping HIMYM was known for.
The show gets really exciting in season 5 when Ted gives clues about the mother. They should have ended about season 6/7, the mystery over the mother gets so forgotten after that because they kept forcing ted and robin out of nowhere from season 7 till the end and the show simply stopped being about the mother, and that was a mistake
I actually like season 9 apart from them killing off the mother and the divorce it wasn’t bad. I didn’t mind the focus on the wedding it took that much time because to Ted that’s how long it was. I liked the few moments with Tracy I hoped we’d gotten more of that. There were actually a lot of great episodes “how your mother met me” “unpause” the last two episodes minus the actual ending, the one with Barney super hangover, when they realized lily was pregnant, the rehearsal dinner. It wasn’t terrible.
I think people hate the ending soo much because after building Tracy up for 8 seasons they nailed her in every way possible she was perfect, she fit the group perfectly and then they just destroyed it and they destroyed Barney’s character development.

Season 1 should be way higher in my opinion. Its very consistent with many great episodes, all the first half of the season it's memorable with the Pilot, Purple Giraffe, Okay Awesome, Slutty Pumpkin, The Duel, Pineapple Incident, etc. Also, my personal favorite, Mary the Paralegal is in it.
I rate 6 the highest. Maybe not the funniest, but it deals so well with certain emotional topics. Marshalls father dying and their doubt about getting pregnant and the iconic 'hoop'-scene when Barney meets his father. Maybe the most emotional scene of all the series. Those kind of episodes/scences are what makes HIMYM stand out from all the others.
I get that the finale kinda went off the deep end, but the rest of the season I REALLY liked. Yes the ending was rushed, but it was a cool concept for a season taking place in the 2 days before a wedding. I always find myself rewatching season 9 episodes because each episode is quick and fun and doesn’t try to work in a million different plot points.

Season 5 was easily the worst season of the show. I'm shocked it was MsMojo's favorite. It featured Barney and Robin's painful first attempt at a relationship, the dull as dishwater Don relationship, essentially gave Marshall and Lily no over-arching story all season, and progressed the story of Ted's love life less than any other season in the series.
Okay, but why was the whole complaint for season 9 just over the series finale? I get that the finale was rough and seemed unfair, but the rest of the season had some fun episodes. Starting in season 6 they start revealing details about the day Ted meets the mother which while interesting makes the rest of the show about getting to that day (Barney’s Wedding) which drains the excitement of the show overall and the mystery about where we are headed.
This was one of those shows I never watched continuously, if I put on the TV and it was on I watched it but I never saw all the episodes. Sadly season 9 is the season I remember the most.
Season 2 is the BEST! Atlantic City and Slap Bet are my favourite episodes, the season is hillarious and Marshall and Lily get married but I was really sad when Ted and Robin broke up
Season 7 deserves a higher place, it was definitely better than 6th (although my opinion may be unfair since I've always hated Zoey), and on pair, if not slightly better than 5th. WHAT?? I loved season 9!! The way they present the mother to us it's very smart, and I love how they all gets to know the mother except Ted. The final episode can not be like we were expecting but for me is at least on top 3
Most people don't get season 9. When you are narrating a story, don't you remember and narrate every tiny detail close to the end? That was season 9. Plus think about it, every hour of the weekend where Barney and Robin get married felt like an eternity in Ted's mind, he hadn't met the mother yet and he was obsessed with Robin for 9 years so he remembered every detail from that wedding. Hence every episode is like an hour before the marriage and that is how he narrated it to his kids. I hate that they killed off Tracy (because the actress did so much justice to the role) but it makes sense when you look back. Tracy ended up with Max (since he passed away too) and Ted ended up with Robin. But when i look at Barney and how he would adjust to Ted and Robin back again in the end, that sure is a plot hole. Robin preferred her career over Barney and now she chose to make it work with Ted. But wouldn't Ted face the same issue what Barney felt in his marriage to Robin? And even if she, agrees to finally settles down and chooses love over career, wouldn't Barney feel cheated that she couldn't do the same for him? She only wanted Ted when she saw how happy he was with Tracy, she never wanted him ever since they broke up back in season 2. That is not a strong foundation to build on. I am all happy for Ted because he met the love of his life, Tracy, had the life he always wanted with her and then he got the woman he wanted all along - Robin as well. The ending makes sense for Ted but it doesn't for Barney or Robin.

I don't. If it weren't for the finale, I'd even be inclined to vote it the best. Season 9 pulled off the significant achievement of getting viewers to know and fall completely in love with the Mother in just one season where she's only in half the episodes. The finale just taints people's memories of it as being a worse season than it actually is.
To be fair I actually thought conceptually it was a really good idea. We got to to know and fall in love with the mother before Ted does. We also got glimpses of their future together and saw that they had really good chemistry. If only the mother survived and Barney ended up with Robin, I would’ve said it was a strong final season. The early episodes did feel a bit slow though.
I really liked season 9 until the finale. Barney, Robin and Ted had so much incredible character development and they threw it all away in two episodes.

It was in the pilot episode.

Starting in season 6 they start revealing details about the day Ted meets the mother which while interesting makes the rest of the show about getting to that day (Barney’s Wedding) which drains the excitement of the show overall and the mystery about where we are headed.
Used to love watch mojo until I realized this woman was the only reason why, so now this is the only thing I’ll watch from them

This was one of those shows I never watched continuously, if I put on the TV and it was on I watched it but I never saw all the episodes. Sadly season 9 is the season I remember the most.
Season 2 is the BEST! Atlantic City and Slap Bet are my favourite episodes, the season is hillarious and Marshall and Lily get married but I was really sad when Ted and Robin broke up

Season 7 deserves a higher place, it was definitely better than 6th (although my opinion may be unfair since I've always hated Zoey), and on pair, if not slightly better than 5th.
Also, in my opinion, season 2 is the best one as it had some of the most memorable episodes I can recall ( slap bet, Ted Mosby, architect, Swarley, Lucky penny, Stuff, Showdown and also the great finale)

WHAT?? I loved season 9!! The way they present the mother to us it's very smart, and I love how they all gets to know the mother except Ted. The final episode can not be like we were expecting but for me is at least on top 3

Most people don't get season 9. When you are narrating a story, don't you remember and narrate every tiny detail close to the end? That was season 9. Plus think about it, every hour of the weekend where Barney and Robin get married felt like an eternity in Ted's mind, he hadn't met the mother yet and he was obsessed with Robin for 9 years so he remembered every detail from that wedding. Hence every episode is like an hour before the marriage and that is how he narrated it to his kids. I hate that they killed off Tracy (because the actress did so much justice to the role) but it makes sense when you look back. Tracy ended up with Max (since he passed away too) and Ted ended up with Robin. But when i look at Barney and how he would adjust to Ted and Robin back again in the end, that sure is a plot hole. Robin preferred her career over Barney and now she chose to make it work with Ted. But wouldn't Ted face the same issue what Barney felt in his marriage to Robin? And even if she, agrees to finally settles down and chooses love over career, wouldn't Barney feel cheated that she couldn't do the same for him? She only wanted Ted when she saw how happy he was with Tracy, she never wanted him ever since they broke up back in season 2. That is not a strong foundation to build on. I am all happy for Ted because he met the love of his life, Tracy, had the life he always wanted with her and then he got the woman he wanted all along - Robin as well. The ending makes sense for Ted but it doesn't for Barney or Robin.

I don't. If it weren't for the finale, I'd even be inclined to vote it the best. Season 9 pulled off the significant achievement of getting viewers to know and fall completely in love with the Mother in just one season where she's only in half the episodes. The finale just taints people's memories of it as being a worse season than it actually is.
To be fair I actually thought conceptually it was a really good idea. We got to to know and fall in love with the mother before Ted does. We also got glimpses of their future together and saw that they had really good chemistry. If only the mother survived and Barney ended up with Robin, I would’ve said it was a strong final season. The early episodes did feel a bit slow though.
I really liked season 9 until the finale. Barney, Robin and Ted had so much incredible character development and they threw it all away in two episodes.
Still sad about the ending, but yet very happy we got the mother we expected and some memorable moments of her life

My first thought when I saw this video was "I wonder how badly they're gonna rank these." And the answer is Legen-wait-for-it-but-not-too-long-cause-the-actual-answer-is-BAD. This was a bad list. Saying Season 9 is the worst season is simply unture. Seeing Tracy and how she met each member and all the super touching moments made Season 9 pretty great. It's not the best season, but it's definitely not the worst.
It's further evident that you don't know what you're talking about when you claim "Suit-up" was introduced in season five. It was in the pilot episode.
