Great demonstration for cooking a turkey, thanks for sharing! I just received my rotisserie kit and can't wait to try it this weekend. After watching your video, this is how I'm going to cook my Thanksgiving turkey! And maybe the Christmas ham, too 😋 You're right, the meat doesn't look stringy or fibrous! I think the rotisserie for the Weber kettle is going to be a game changer!

It sure is a game changer! I’ll never do a turkey any other way! So quick too, as well as being perfectly cooked and super tasty!
Good luck mate, let me know how you get on, and enjoy!

I am sure it would have been. I very frequently visit food vlogs. This one, by far, has been one of the best cooked protein.
      All respects to you...

Sounds epic! Might give it more of a seasoning this year, I think I went fairly light on this one.

@@smokindanskitchen I quit doing rotisserie chicken. Cause i can buy a whole chicken any more for less than 8 bucks. Walmart has them whole cooked and ready to eat for under 5 dollars. You can take on road trips, camping where ever hot and ready to eat ITS YUMMY But they don't have Turkey this way🤣🤣 I don't blame ya for doing turkeys this way 👌👌 ITS YUMMY

@@smokindanskitchen If you can eject the garlic butter, and salt into it > IT WOULD MAKE IT AWESOME I gave up on my ejector it gets stopped up so. I BRINE MINE IN A NONE SENTED TRASH CAN BAG. IN A 5 Gallon BUCKET. Just shake it up every day. This really get it into the turkey > IF its COLD OUT SIDE PUT THE TOP ON IT LEAVE OUT SIDE FOR 3 days Or in your FRIG I WANT IT COVER WITH THE BRINE. THE TRASH CAN BAG HELP MAKE ROOM FOR IN IT IN THE FRIG > ALSO YOU WANT THE TURKEY TO BE COVER IN THE BRINE 👉👉 THIS IS THE BEST GAME CHANGER

@@smokindanskitchen The best way of doing a turkey then rotisserie, IS a brine. TALK ABOUT EPIC? THIS IS All you need is a 5 gal bucket with a lid. IF its cold outside. SET IT OUTSIDE in the bucket COVER FOR 3 or 5 days shaking it up each day. Brine it what ever taste YOU WANT

Great timing. I just ordered the rotisserie ring/motor for the Weber. I already have a Meater as well as another probe for monitoring the kettle chamber. How big was your turkey? I'll be cooking a 17 pounder. I noticed that you didn't use any wood, just brickettes. I've been asked to add some hickory. Glad I found your channel! I'm in California

Hi! Thanks for watching! The turkey was pretty big to be fair, possibly a bit smaller than yours though!
The Meater is great because it gives you an estimated finish time, which was pretty accurate so I could gauge when to cook the other items in the meal.
Once cooked, it’ll rest and keep warm for at least an hour under foil so you will have time to prepare the other dishes.
We didn’t use wood as I didn’t really want a smoked turkey, more of just a cooked turkey on the bbq, I’m sure hickory would be excellent though!
Good luck on your cook, and please let me know how you get on!
      👍

My Invention for rotisserie Chicken and Meat has made the spit and prongs out of date. This DIY self centring device can be made to any diameter to fit various sizes of BBQ.

Did you have to top up the coal much?

I did put a bit more in but you probably wouldn’t need to if you started off with enough.
