I felt like hearing youseebiggirl this episode would have made it weird. The episode ended almost right after Eren’s transformation, which is different than the moments we had with Reiner and Bertholdt transformation, since we had a minute or so of time before Eren transformed to fight them. The music in Declaration of War would have had to be a really quick version of YouSeeBigGirl like the one in this video if it was going to be included. But this video had heavy build-up throughout the song leading up to it, which I don't think would have worked because I think the silence with the crowds cheering just before Eren transformed was fantastic. That means there would have had to be very little buildup leading up to his transformation music wise, but that is fine because the whole episode itself was buildup enough. Now, there’s also the thought of how YouSeeBigGirl is supposed to make you feel. The first time I watched it, I think it was trying to show you Eren’s pain and fear of realizing two more of his friends are actually his enemy, showing us the devestation their transformation was causing mentally. It is sudden and shocking, so I don't think it would have fit in this episode where we knew Eren transforming was a possibility for the whole twenty minutes. I think Declaration of War is different; we knew Eren might transform, so did Reiner. Nothing came but the simple realization that Eren is no longer the person that we knew. He became a monster to the people of Marley, and transforming there and killing Will because of his declaration solidified that. The music showed us devastation once again, but this time, it was physical. Could the music choice have been better? Possibly, but I think I understand what they were going for and I think that we should all try to infer that. The writing was spot on, the animation was gorgeous, and the directing was masterfully done. I don't think music would have affected this episode as much as you think, especially towards anime-onlys. I think Manga readers were the most upset because they built this idea of how the scene was supposed to go in there head, so when it didn't go that way, they felt disappointed. I've watched a few reactions of anime-only people watching this episode and they have all shown the emotion and hype I was expecting, no matter the music choice. Could the music have been better? Possibly. But the music worked for the anime, please don't say the episode is worse because of it.
But that's the thing. 2Volt is associated with hype. People are expecting and were given the impression that this was a badass moment. This is a psychological thing as the only other time we heard that music was when Levi was overpowering the Beast Titan. Using YSBG or Samuel Kim's version of Declaration of War brings a sense of dread to the scene that is more appropriate. Most people forgot that Eren just destroyed a building full of bystanders murdering families. Still a GREAT episode but I was really hoping this episode would do more than surprise everyone and instead leave them in shock and horror. Here's to hoping episode 6 accomplishes it.

i loved the episode. the tension i think everyone felt while watching it was highly appreciated by the ost they used and obviously due to the conversations parallel. I think it’s crazy how everything has turned over, the story we know about this series is now completely different from what it was in the past 3 seasons...this episode was probably my favorite not only for what happens at the end (which marks the beginning of the war) but also because of the build up and what it represents to the storyline. btw this ost was amazing but omg at 2:21 makes me so emotional 😭
Everything about the latest episode was great: the buildup, the dialogue, the delivery, the animation. Such a shame it fell short in the music department. AoT usually has extremely iconic songs you immediately associate with key scenes, but the track from last night didn’t quite hit the mark. Still a great episode, was just expecting more with the OST, especially with the Declaration of War leaked track.
Yeah but the EP was still good. Every Ost use till the final scene was fucking perfect. I don't know how they messed up the final scene. It was still OK , so the EP is still a 10/10
@@mohammadjavadyeganeh5292 It won't. Trust me. It is an old soundtrack, not a new one. And it simply feels off. A lot of people noticed it, which is not something that happened with YouSeeBigGirl.
Everyone agree that YouSeeBigGirl is one of the most epic songs of AOT, but that doesn't mean they have to use that song for every epic moment in the show, I mean, it isn't more memorable that when we listen YouSeeBigGirl we remember the grand reveal of THAT moment? The world: "may i ask why?"
Willy tyber: "yeah well, marley destroyed eren jaegers house and uh...killed his mom"
The world : "oh"
Guys Eren killed his Mother.
He used the founding titans power to access his past and controlled that titan to kill his mother.
Spolier alert.
Samuel you are genuis. That scream on the end part was great.
**Me listening this alone in my room**
My dad: Gosh my son is devilish!
i loved the episode. the tension i think everyone felt while watching it was highly appreciated by the ost they used and obviously due to the conversations parallel.
Mans life flashed before his eyes.
Man you are a legend just waiting so bad for this theme, keep the good work!!!!
"Do you have any last words, Eren Yeager?" - Warhammer Titan's last words
Your addition of YOUSEEBIGGIRL knocked me out!!!
"if you're willing to seek a path for revenge: dig two graves one for yourself and one for your enemy"
Once again you have outdone yourself. Never stop moving forward.
Everything about the latest episode was great: the buildup, the dialogue, the delivery, the animation. Such a shame it fell short in the music department. AoT usually has extremely iconic songs you immediately associate with key scenes, but the track from last night didn’t quite hit the mark. Still a great episode, was just expecting more with the OST, especially with the Declaration of War leaked track.
i thought the ost was good. definitely suffices at least to the point where i wouldnt comment about not liking it
It'll be immortalised later by AoT fans just like YouSeeBigGirl.
Yeah but the EP was still good. Every Ost use till the final scene was fucking perfect. I don't know how they messed up the final scene.
It was still OK , so the EP is still a 10/10
@@notxon300 It is just too bubbly and heroic. And scene is simply neither bubbly or heroic.
@@mohammadjavadyeganeh5292 It won't. Trust me. It is an old soundtrack, not a new one. And it simply feels off. A lot of people noticed it, which is not something that happened with YouSeeBigGirl.
i actually think your more sad somber version fits the scene beautifully, and am grateful you included it to the scene in the background.
Willy: I Proclaim, a DECLERATION OF WAR!!
Eren: aight bet, say less
Why is ur concept art so good
At this point my headphones are pledging me to stop playing this track over and over again
2:46 The Best!!
The sheer terror one must feel when the monster you are declaring war on appears right behind you.
Mr.Samuel's creations always amaze me.
Everyone agree that YouSeeBigGirl is one of the most epic songs of AOT, but that doesn't mean they have to use that song for every epic moment in the show, I mean, it isn't more memorable that when we listen YouSeeBigGirl we remember the grand reveal of THAT moment?
Each epic moment in AOT deserve their own song to be unique.
2:50 ultimate chills.
I love your works, I listen them all days, And I noticed that we have the same passions (aot and star wars) summarizing a lot of respect for the work you do continue like this . Many greetings from Italy. 😁🌟👍
I'm so glad that there isn't a max cap on songs for a playlist.
Every song i hear from you, my hype goes more than 9000
"But to me, you looked like bad guys too."
Thanks for adding your versions of AOT and other songs from another shows and movies. I really love your music a lot. God gave u an amazing talent for music. Thank you soooooooooo much!
2:45 in the anime would be sooo awesome
BRILLIANT COVER.. YOU ABSOLUTELY SMASHED IT WITH THE MIX MATE.. LOVED IT
I find kinda curious that even tho we listen to the same "rythm" we have heard since past seasons, now it feels like a horror ost
It truly transmit tension
Amazing! You have great imagination to make the songs! Keep it up! Subbed!
2:49 goosebumps
you sir are insanley talanted you make these tracks so epic 10/10
Reiner: Pls kill me Eren
Eren: *no*
Willy: I dont want to die
Eren: so you have chosen death
