Just back from a 1666 mile ride from Vermont to N Carolina and back. Mines a 2018 Road Glide. 2 days down, 2 days back, much of it in the rain. She purred like a kitten all the way. Sustained speeds of 75 to 80 and sometimes higher. I'm 73 and it's the only Harley I ever owned. I bought it last spring. Yeah, it's heavy and a little hard to manuver in the parking lot, but it's smooth, powerful, and comfy as heck on the open road and Interstate. Super happy.
Nice I have been riding for over 45 years and had multiple motorcycles bmw gtle goldwing bmw rt vrod suzuki 1150 yamaha turbo and a few smaller bikes . Now I ride a ultra limited 2016 and have over 60k on so far it puts a smile on my face every time I ride.
I purchased the 2023 Anniversary Ultra Limited last October and I’m loving it. I made the investment of installing a Stage II and the bike performs extremely well. I finally got over 1,000 miles on it and it’s still great to ride on the long country roads.
I have a 17 CVO Ultra Limited, and it is a AWESOME ride. It is very nimble!!! Just be really careful during slow speed maneuvers on this beast! You definitely have to practice this on this heavy beast! If you get one, and you want to practice slow speed maneuvers, do yourself a favor and get some drop guards, you will need them because if you practice to get really good, a drop is in your future!!
Right! It’s possible. There are retrofit kits out there. The last one I saw was 3 years ago and about $3k. Funny the BMW R18 and Goldwing have reverse but not the Ultra Limited.
I have a 03 Vulcan 1600 5 speed and I thought I was riding mine wrong. Haha. 6th gear must be just above idle. It’s fascinating how the cruisers ride 80mph plus with ease and still get 40mpg. I was looking at a 2013 electra guide ultra limited as an upgrade. I like that they are water cooled n 6 speed

Nice! Living the dream. Your using the bike as it was intended, enjoy it!

That’s awesome. It’s a great touring bike and this years model is the last of them.

That’s awesome congratulations! I’m finding that with the M8 platform stage Ii unlocks the fun! Enjoy and ride safe!

Great suggestion!
😮💨 Ain’t she purdy. This one has my vote. Put me on the back pls.
It’s a gorgeous, comfy ride!
It would be great if other countries could have demo days like this from motorcycle manufacturers.
They are convenient. However You should be able to test ride any model at a Harley Dealer , make your own demo day!
Mines a 2015 and I love it!
Awesome! You have one of the Rushmore series, great year
I need beer 😊
Hell yeah Gunny that tour pack will hold a case of it! 🍻
You should try 6th gear on the highway!!
I would have but on those factory demo rides they won’t let you pass other motorcycles 😔
Should be in 6th gear at 60 mph and above … nice and mellow then.. I have the highway king with the 114
@@MarkR973I’ll give a try, riding the ‘24 later this month
Those lowers have the twin cooling radiators. Different tune and compression ratio than the other 114.
How much for a reverse gear

Great video! But did you just say “Hair Loom”? Ha Ha
I did…..Heirloom. 😎
I can't believe you were doing over 65mph and still in 3td gear.
I know right? The gearing on the touring bikes is impressive.
