I have recently got this puzzle. Had so much fun doing it. I was trying lots of movements at first, then I realized that there is a pattern to get that right piece to the bottom part. Whenever I find solutions for my puzzles, I also come and check your videos to see if you did the same thing or not. Love your style. It inspires me for my own channel that I have created lately. I do the same thing but in Turkish. Keep up the good work, Ross!
Today, I played with the puzzle when I was keeping a cool head. Found a solution that only includes 4 moves. When you are at the 2:34 position, just turn it and go at the bottom. It disassembles.
@@zihindar I have the puzzle in front of me and can confirm that that doesn't work. Of course it isn't that easy. You must've started from the wrong position.
I got a bit lucky when solving this for the first time. It can be quite a tricky on when you're trying to get one specific side of the star to go on one specific edge of the box.
Hi! I just bought the O'Gear puzzle. But I cannot do the moves properly. Sometimes, the star just does not want to move to another side. Why is it so? How can I move it more smoothly? Can you please give me some advice so I can try to solve it? Thanks!
Very nice vid but please fix the misleading thumbnail, which claims that it only takes 7 moves when it actually takes 10 moves plus turning and removing the gear at the end, which I'd argue is an 11th move.

Quock tip: The designer of this puzzle is Oscar van Deventer, a dutch youtuber showing off his new puzzles on a nearly weekly basis for 10+ years!
This one is definitely a fun one and interesting! Good solve mate!

@@RossDM yeah it definitely took me a while to figure out
You should give the L'oeuf a try it's astonishingly difficult for me I still have yet to reassemble it
@@blu.mus1c Yeah, the L'Oeuf is on my list. I'll hopefully get it soon.
What is it made of ? Cuz i want to buy one
They're all made of various metals. They're solid and extremely hard to break if that's something you're worried about.
Hope this helps!
@@RossDM yes its perfect
Thank you

Oh!! I just understood! Some ridges have a smooth angle that makes moves possible, other don't… !! :D :shame: OK, I'm on it!
@@arnaudn55 Well figured out... Good luck!

Depends how you count a move. At least the Thumbnail brought you to a vid that helped :)
