As someone with complex PTSD & with a mom who is struggling with physical health, this really hits home. I've been thinking this exact thing but never had the words to express it. Then tonight as I was driving home from an event at church, I heard this on the radio & it blessed me so much. Thank you & God bless 🙌✝️

I don't think a song or video has ever hit me harder. My dad, my best friend, my hero. Spend most of his life working underground mining coal. He came in one morning my senior year of high school and. Fell dead by our kitchen table. Thank you I feel like this video was done specifically in remembrance of my dad. I miss him every day.

I lost my dad this year (2022) to the war of drug addiction. He was only a couple weeks past 50 years old. I came upon this song today and it made me think of my dad. Before I lost my dad he came to visit me and my sister for his 50th birthday. While I listen to this song I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. My dad wasn't perfect, he had his problems in life and he battled with a lot of things. But he had a heart of gold and a warming smile. One day while I was at work I started to think of my dad and I started getting emotional and began to weap tears. I suddenly felt this powerful energy that shifted me. It was as if my dad, and God were standing there and each put a hand on my shoulder and said everything is going to be okay. That day changed everything for me. I already believed in God. But I never felt anything like that. To this day I wear a cross necklace with Phillipians 3:14 inscribed on it. This is my personal experience and I will never forget the day. I am here to tell you, if you are down and out or having a tough going don't forget that God is there. He is watching and everything happens for a reason. God is powerful in so many ways. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I felt I needed to get it out there. I guess I never really talked about this. God bless.

I've never seen the video before. My grandfather was a coal miner in Floyd County Kentucky, he died of a massive heart attack brought on by black lung disease. My uncles and a lot more of her family have worked in the mines for generations. We have lost family in the mines from gas, bad air, cave ins, flooding and explosions. God bless every single miner. They are strong men and I am proud of them. I live in north central Texas.

My grandfather worked in them for manyv years as well..passed with emphysema..my sister( yep SISTER...lol) worked many years as well..my grandfather also fought in WW2 received purple heart as he was injured...this video e o reminds me of them as well.... sorry for ur loss...LOVE 2 U

As someone whose last 6-7 years have been gut-wrenching, with loss, betrayal and disappointment…this song really hits home. And I know I haven’t had the grief that Toby has, losing a child, so this song is personal for him too. And through it all, with tears in my eyes and that same sad sense of forlorn as Toby’s character has in this video, I still proclaim that He is my God. Even if he slay me, yet will I praise His name. You, oh God, are my promised land.

A true, moving tribute to his granddad, and it speaks to all hard working Americans. The song gently remembers that Jesus is carrying us all through the good times and bad times, and that He is the Promised Land. Just beautiful. This song moved me to tears.

I had this song played at my son's celebration of life. He died by suicide at age 31. When he was a little boy he called me up to his room one day and said he wanted to give his heart to Jesus. We prayed and he was saved. Later he was baptized. He grew up in the church and went to college and became an alcoholic like his father. He had a heart of gold. Never hurt a soul. I struggled so much with his death, although I know the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy. Romans 8: 38 for I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. He is our intercessor. Thank you Lord Jesus!

Well i fear... but through God's sacrifice of his son and their childhood willingness and desire to know Jesus, I believe you and I will see our boys with Jesus in heaven one day.
Yes , nothing can take away their salvation, once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior asked forgiveness for your sins you are Saved ! Nothing nor no one other than blasphemy of the Holy Spirit can take away your Salvation. Both of you will see your son's in Heaven , it is undescribable Amazing, , Beyond Breath Taking Beautiful , Peaceful, Vibrant, Serene Place and they are there at peace.
I was in a horrible accident years ago, not expected to live , in fact the doctors told my family I was fighting to die not live. I was , I went to the other side , I was in Heaven , it was just as I described I didn't want to leave but I kept being told it was not my time and swished back down a tunnel to here. Then the I would go try to get back to Heaven again. It was amazing. I have never been afraid of dying since . I am not a minister nor have I had any Seminary schooling, I have studied a lot on suicide in the Bible due to friends and family members, plus it is seems so rampant these days even in the church unfortunately. Once you are saved you are saved plain and simple, Praise the Lord ❤❤🙏🙏❤❤

Wow. That was perfect. I love that you channeled a different time in this video. My grandpa worked alongside family members in a coal mine as a young man living in Fairmont, West Virginia. I imagine it was difficult, draining work. The imagery, the gray tones, all combined to express a great sorrow and grief that broke into joy and power at the end because we do know where our promise land is thanks to Jesus Christ. Amen!

Not many songs get me thinking the way this song does. It’s truly a blessing to hear this testimony from a man who’s faith remains unbreakable after such a loss. Stay strong Toby. Your music gives me a clear understanding of what truly matters.

@tobymaac as I was watching this video for the hundredth time at least, I was reminded of how God lets us share a bit of his suffering so that we can become closer to him and understand his heart. The moments when you raise your hands to him symbolize complete surrender to him for me. It shows that we have gone as far as we can on our own.
