I saw your shocked face when he met Jackie Chan. He met him in 2017, when he was on the Singer show in 2017. I am Singer is a Chinese singing competition show for established singers and Dimash was invited on as a wild card. After the first episode aired, he sky rocketed into stardom in China. And Jackie invited him to his home studio. Later Jackie invited him to sing at one of his movie premieres/festivals and eventually to sing a song on his movie. Dimash on his birthday gave us a beautiful song OMIR. I had to take my time to process it, as the first impact was shocking. The first time I tried reading English subtitles, but the mix of image and sound overwhelmed me, even though I didn't need to read to feel Dimash's soul surging through his intense and exquisite deep voice. A prayer to life, as I have seen and understood it, with a deep and sincere thanks to all that I have experienced and achieved so far, but also with a plea not to lose your way, to choose correctly, to make the right choices, chess there appears as a figurative decision-making process in life, where every step we take leads us to a position of advantage or not, Dimash is a chess player and in this game he is managing the pieces of his life... with l uncertainty of the future. A big concern to reach his goal and not disappoint at the same time, I think he is in a phase of reflection and many changes, but I'm sure he will be smart enough to win this match. The song is wonderful and his whispered baritone voice always seems like a caress, there is a mixture of pain and love but also of strength towards the end to take the journey. The lyrics are deep and show his feelings and the complex music at one point has many interesting color nuances, it seems like a spiral of life and it was like that that I didn't need that long to go down the rabbit hole again and I found myself listening to it on a loop over and over again, that's its magic too.. 🤗 😊 I don't know how it does it, but I always end up trapped in its staff. 🎼💝🥰

A new chapter of his life starts in Los Angeles. He finished the video with Walter Afanasieff and David Foster. What ever they are creating together is something BIG that we will find out SOON.
There was a song with Walter that could not be completed because of COVID and I suspect they will finish it now.

Released on his 29th Birthday. Yes, Dimash has worked hard to get to where he is today. He genuinely appreciates all the appreciation, but also carries the weight of huge expectations; from fans, from his country. Perhaps none greater than his own unrelenting pursuit of continuous improvement, to be the best that he can be.
I Hope he gives himself permission to make mistakes! To mess up from time to time! He's human just like everyone else,{ despite all the silly talk about aliens!}. We saw him 'chafing at the bit' to fly outta the gate again and resume the momentum, after the enforced pause of the pandemic, but I hope he gives himself sufficient R & R time, to relax, have fun, do nothing! After all, the doing nothing space, is the dreaming place where creativity swirls in the subconscious. 😊

I love that Dimash nit only composed the music for this but has actually written the lyrics too. It's from his heart and is just so beautiful. He's baring his soul and even his fears of disappointing those who support him & have helped him. He feels a huge responsibility to give back & not let anyone down, at least that's what I get out of this. He is such a rare talent but also a rare person who remains so humble & doesn't take anything he has acheived for granted. Its no wonder he is so loved across the world & by everyone who works, or has worked with him.
