Montreux, Switzerland 4K - The beautiful Swiss town famous for the Montreux Jazz Festival

In this video we're visiting Montreux, during the 2022 Montreux Jazz Festival. From the lake to the mountains and vineyards, Montreux Riviera offers a postcard landscape and has attracted many artists, writers and travellers in search of beauty, tranquillity and inspiration. It’s no surprise that Freddie Mercury immortalised Lake Geneva with the peaks of Le Grammont on the cover of the album “Made in Heaven” or that Igor Stravinski composed “The Rite of Spring” in Montreux.
Montreux Riviera is a land of contrasts. It’s a kind of miniature Switzerland where visitors and locals have been living together for three centuries. The region is especially rich in cultural events, including the unmissable Montreux Jazz Festival, and boasts some of the best hotel schools and private clinics in the world. It is also a business hub with infrastructure that is perfectly suited to organising international conferences.

The early morning always has a strange but beautiful awakening to cities in Europe. Switzerland's French region is my favorite, there's something that I can't explain that makes me feel peaceful and calm when I visit. I feel like I belong here?

As somebody who used to live there I can recommend the old town too! It's worth visiting and you'll have your sport done since you have to climb a bit in order to get there. There's also public transportation but I prefere walking😊
