Everything in Jamaica is so versatile, God Bless this lady with inspiration , great ideas, and our land in Jesus name! Jamaica people wake up and help yourselves.
JAMAICAN. This won't happen by wishful thinking. There must be a reset of a balanced rightful societal culture. Unfortunately the insane influx of guns has tilted the daily culture of living to the use of guns. Until the government makes guns a part of history; daily living will be a tenous chore, moreso for the "have-nots." Think on these things. Best regards. CHEERS to real hope, faith & charity.
I try to make the cassava flour for the first time and it did came out fine...you can dried it in the stove oven if you are in a rush....I let mine dried in the sun for about two days....you can use any blender or food processor to grind it....I will definitely be trying the breadfruit flour, thanks to Mr Gayle and Sister Watkins
love this . from US (Jamerican :) - visiting family in England. They were watching. made me feel a sense of pride and very happy. i love the concept. Such a wealth of knowledge. wishing all involved blessings and abundance
Mar ASH, I agree with you to a point. the reason why I say this is because this lady has already started and master the processing into flower, All she need to do now is to upscale her business.
That’s very good when i was growing up my parents use to make breadfruit flour and banana flour and cassava flour we use to dry them on the zinc on top of the roof and pound it in the mortar
True. As a toddler my mom would peel, slice and dry the green banana in the sun on a clean sheet of zinc, then pound it in the mortar to break up the dried slices; then to make banana porridge; she said the midwife told her to do it. In the 50s & 60s in Portland bush bush we didn't have electricity or piped water (had to make many trips to carry water from the river), no modern conveniences.
@@brighterdaysplantnurseryan2629 Sorry. That was a long time ago in the 50s & 60s when I was a little boy. I departed JA donkey years ago and now live a farin.
No..the private sector should fund them to advance their own businesses. For too long the ideas of the poor are taken and capitalized on which becomes major products and the persons with the ideas are left behind..Give the poor a chance!!.
This is so inspiring. Such pity that most of us don't know how to use what we have. So many are struggling to buy flour in the supermarkets without knowing that they can make their own. Jamaicans are not supposed to be hungry. We should be able to produce enough to feed the entire country and have extra to export. Thanks for sharing. Knowledge is power. Let's get back to basics and stop depending so much on genetically modified food from foreign countries.
Excellent revelation re breadfruit derevities and the flour is tops. Good job. It also open up the door to other product that we've struggled with for decades- not knowing how to utilize them to get get the maximum benefit out of them. God bless you Mr Revelutioner for bringing this for the world to see. Now we know we can do this to similar products to help to bring our produce to the forefront of the world like other countries. Thank you,
Wow ! And look how much breadfruits waste in Our country yet the leaders can't come up with such great ideas not to mention how 4H a do it by mata long time . Keep up the good work sister 🙏
Political business is a nasty game. The FOOD AND HEALTH ORGANIZATION has grabbed Jamaica by it's balls since the 70s. Jamaican politicians have no choice but to play the game. We have enough food to feed ourselves, but we are not allowed to do so because we owed debt to Big Corp Co. And we have to pay back by becoming consumers of their products, therefore, abandoning our own. Very nasty business.
In 1976 we did a science project in high school where we made breadfruit flour. I thought it was a groundbreaking discovery back then and was sure Jamaica would adopt it on a large scale...but nothing happened
This is interesting and educational. I certainly learn a lot. Jamaica has so much food that often goes to waste; it's nice that you are showcasing other alternative use for some of the food. Yesterday, I tried blending the guinep seed to make milk, but it seems as if it would be better for porridge or flour. In America, they used almond to make milk, so I thought of trying the guinep seed. I guess, someone out there could try the guinep seed and improve on it.
Good afternoon my island Jamaica the land we love ...Dear Sir I am not thar surprised of what l see this lady do with one breadfruit ..I my self do experiment in other areas ...now that flour product can turn into meny other wonderful produc t such as porage supplligen ..ic ice cream milkshake ..bread an other backend product. ..thank you ...
When I was a boy in Portland bush bush. I had a large breadfruit tree. It was a prolific bearer. My dad would ask any man to pick some for him; and the picker to help himself to some. There was usually a lot, more than we could eat. So they would ripen and fall. Even at night one could hear them falling. And the pigs would gorge themselves. Personally I loved boiled mature ones.
'Bigup' Ms Watkins, I'm so amazed by your calmness & professionalism, I will be making an order. Once again, many thanks Mr Gayle, for delivering a super educational video. Real Jsmaica indeed!!!❤
I always love breadfruit I had a tree but this is the very first time I’ve seen and heard about breadfruit flour thanks for sharing your work I appreciate your time well done 👍
WoW 😲 this is amazing, I love this. I like breadfruit, but I didn't know about making flour from the breadfruit that is so great and much more healthier. Thank you for sharing it's wonderful. Am watching from Trinidad 🇹🇹 God bless you richly 🙏😘🌺🤗 with this flour you can use it without mixing with the comercial flour not so. ?
Excellent 👏👏👏 I always say we need to use more of our natural resources, congratulations miss Watkins, I use the ripe ones to make my dumplings and I love it 🥰

It would be great if there was large scale farms and processing facilities for this product. This would a good export product, she is very inspiring.
Hi I love that how you doing 😊
How about thinking about it for domestic consumption to cut down on imported flour?
indeed.
thanks.

I like that breadfruit flour idea. The private sectors need to use to help the small farmers to develop their ideas.
