Thanks guys
It looked like the line up of the leads and the board before welding was edited. Is there any tips for that? Is it required to clean the leads as shown and is there another way to do it without the tool you used? I noticed no tag on flex for iPhone X series, is none required and does the battery heath work? is there a message on those models? What about how to weld the iPhone XSmax with the two piece battery?
Great Video, Whats the process for iphone XS battery? No tag on flex, will the Battery health need reseting using something like Qianli Icopy after the BMS has been swapped?
Can I just keep the tag on the phone in order to avoid mistakes?
My is working great I’m just afraid of taking the tag out
For x range is it simply the same process minus the tag on? Install bms and your done?
How do you know that these welding spots are secure and make lowest possible electrical resistance? Is there a way to check impedance? I just thought it could be unsafe if those connections have a high resistance and could cause heat or worse.
Does the calibration remain after a software restore if the tag is removed?
How about if you do a software update does the battery health still stay at 100% or go back to what it was before? Thank you
I have been getting mixed results. I use Xcap batteries with Xcap pre-programmed tag flex, also JD ID tag flex with programmer. Around 1 in 4 repairs are unsuccessful. When booting the phone for the first time with the power cable inserted and tag flex attached the phone shows '0' percent and does not charge. The cable is attached to a good power adaptor. I follow the same process for each repair. I just don't understand why some work and some fail. Any ideas?
when are we gonna be getting programmers for the iPhone XS Max , XS , XR and X ?? WE NEED THOSE TOO
Did I see a little issue with the removal of the flex? Does it require a lightning charger to reboot after the tag on is removed, as well? Didn’t seem to want to come back on.
No, we were using an older phone which has been used as our test phone for a few things. The device itself was a bit finicky.
the checkout page is not working man..
The green camera stand thing your using to record the video where can I get that and what’s it called?

Do your xcap batteries support fast charging?
No matter how many times I do this. It never resets. Original battery health remains. I’ve tried on 11 / 11PM / 12 / 12PM / 13PM with several tagons
How can they be reusable without losing battery health? With all the tag-on flexes if you remove them after one full cycle battery health value returns to the previous. BMS ontroller is encrypted. For how long did you test this and what version of IOS?
IG leads the way in innovation. Try it and you shall see.
We have been testing these for 3 months now prior to a release.
Can I use another brand of core battery with this tag on flex or only XCAP brand?
What about data retention after a software update?
We have tested with multiple iOS's and an upgrade. Retains battery health and data just fine.
Just added it to the original battery, powered it up from the charger and didn’t get any message. Just sees it as the genuine battery. What am I missing here?
Awsome!
Little confused on the removal of the tag on flex after programming and it being reusable.
To confirm, we don't need to leave the tag-on flex installed after successfully programming (use lighting cable) the new battery, correct?
If so, we can then use the same tag-on flex to program other new same model batteries, correct?
Hey Ray! You can remove the Tag-On after install and reboot!
Yes you can use the same Tag On for a new same model battery. They are the first reusable tag-ons in the market.
ive just done this and got no battery warning and health is showing at 70% still? is this a faulty flex?
update! connected to an oem battery and booted up phone. showed the warning so turned it off and moved the flex ic to new cell and its all working fine now at 100%
Is it absolutely confirmed that with the tag-on flex removed, the battery health indicated in Battery Health will go down over time as normal? I ask, because you state that the two iPhones that you stress tested over weeks and several months had been through several full charge cycles, and one in the video still indicated 100% health. Would it not be showing a slight drop by now?
@Mr Anon Did they just die completely? Do you think the JC and Qianli route is better?
@Mr Anon Thanks for the reply. Your findings are interesting! I have always been concerned about the 'You can remove the tag-on' versus the 'You need to keep it in' arguments. I do wonder whether the actual reported battery health via iOS will actually decrease as it should, again I have read repeated conflicting views on this.
I like the Qianli, but where I am (UK) they can be as much as £15 per throw which really starts adding up! (And interestingly (Not surprisingly(!!) Qianli state they should remain in)
A main, highly reputable mobile stockist here has just added these IG tag-ons recently. They have been stocking the standard batteries for a while.
I know that IG said they have been testing these new tag-ons for a few months, but I honestly think that is a relatively short period of time to fully establish the findings.
Once agin, thanks for your reply.
If we make the mistake to power on with button. Is that reversible mistake or once you make that mistake it won’t ever work properly ?
@@InjuredGadgets If this mistake is made. Will the first tag-on still be good for the next battery replacement? I actually ran into this on an iPhone 11. My positive lead wasn't welded to good and I tried to boot it up with the lightning cable but it didn't recognize the first tag-on. Luckily after checking my welds and using a another tag-on, it did work and recalibrate to 100%. Just curios if the 1st tag on is junk now, or will it still work for the next battery replacement?
@@InjuredGadgets Will the tag-on work after this mistake is made? Or is it dead?
I waiting high capacity for iphone 13 mini
Great video guys, just lay off the caffine. Appreciate you guys. Apple loses
lol. Shay was sick, and Brad was lacking sleep! We will have more energy next time :D
nice vid. never seen the bms spot welded in position on the cell before. Also how long until greedy apple log battery health and flags up if health resets to 100%? Just know this will happen one day
Very elegant💎💎💎!! Don't get left behind > Promo-SM !
Couldn't help but notice your WGP wristband. Interesting…
I was gonna comment about that too 😂
Either done purposefully. Or it’ll be mandatory termination. Lol.
What was Elon Musk do?
Haha, we love WGP!
