as a pacers fan, i’m definitely worried. this team is obviously not great defensively, but carlisle’s plan to become better on that end is to run more half court offense and limit the pace, which simply makes no sense. maybe it’s too premature to call for his firing, but he could very well lose the locker room soon. tyrese haliburton is an elite offensive engine, but there’s only so much he can do when he specializes in a type of offense that the coaching staff isn’t scheming.

Very well said and honestly that’s the biggest reason for the struggles in my opinion! Would you say that over the last few games they’ve picked the pace up? It just seems like they’ve been playing better, curious about what you think 🙏🏻

@@DeHavethey looked a lot more like the pacers from last season in the win against boston, but i would say boston lost that one more than we won it as they had an uncharacteristic 3 point shooting performance. we blew a 25 point lead in that victory, and i just saw them have a straight up unacceptable showing against new orleans tonight. it’s hard to say what exactly needs to be done, but some trades could be coming and carlisle isn’t far from being on the hot seat.

I enjoyed this. The stats were interesting. Their drop in team pace is ridiculous so this definitely needs to be what they fix first. Last year they got to the ECF and cup final playing fast, why change it?
His passing still looks good to me. I am not worried about the assists.
Shooting is down league wide so I expect that will come up.
His usage, however surprised me too. If he could start getting to the line more and in turn raising his usage nearer to 30% he will be even better than last season. The fact he has that room to grow further is exciting so I wouldn't worry if I was a pacers fan.

Glad you enjoyed it! Totally agree about the pace and honestly, curious of your thoughts on Rick Carlisle? I think he’s a great coach but a lot of people are saying he could be gone if this continues! 🙏🏻

He’s weak, mentally. Ben Simmons disease. He’s worried he’s gonna chuck up bricks, and he’s thinking about it. Defenders are also trash, talking him saying that he can’t shoot lol.
When he tries to prove them wrong and keeps missing, it makes him lose even more confidence.

Very interesting insight, I think you’re probably right, when he thinks too much it adds pressure when in reality, if he just took what the game gave to him and played his own game, the results will be there. It could just be a situation where he needs to get out of his own head, I can easily see how a player would overthink things when they’re in a slump but I just hope for his and Indiana’s sake he realizes that! Thanks for the feedback and excellent insight 🙏🏻

@@DeHave imagine you’re on national TV throwing up brick after brick after brick… And the guy guarding you is basically laughing at you. It’s humiliation. And there’s no way to avoid all the online chatter that you can’t shoot.
That’s got to be very hard on a young man.

At least the assist numbers have been improving but I agree, he looks like a shell of himself. Such a contrast to how he began last season. Wishing you luck 🙏🏻

Pretty Simple....HE SHOULD'VE BEEN HERE IN INDIANA DURING THE SUMMER BUILDING ON WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED LAST YEAR. Building MORE Team Chemistry/Identity. IN THE LAB. With THAT said, They are SLOWLY GETTING BACK TO PACE/FORM. It's a LONG SEASON. If we are Struggling at Break THEN I'll be like "HEY". Let's see what happens.
PS: PACERS ORG. DON'T LISTEN TO OUR FANS IN INDY. WE ARE FIXKLE AS HELL AND FOR SOME REASON THINK WE SHOULD WIN EVERYTHING EVERY YEAR WHETHER IT'S IU BASKETBALL, COLTS, OUR PACERS. Don't be like the COLTS.
