Just seeing this video and thought it was great especially since I just bought 2 of them yesterday and they will be delivered tomorrow. They are also my first kayaks.
His link is in the description section of the video you can hit him up. I know he has several ppl on a wait list, it's great to have more ppl than you need just shows how much ppl want to help & give back. But yea but him up🤙🏼
I'm not sure, that was the most I've been around one. It was raffled off for a fundraiser. If you go their Facebook page, they have pictures of Jacks being caught off it, and I know they sponsor several kayak tournament anglers. And they will fish and prefish in any and all-weather conditions during fishing tournaments.
I'm not sure, you might want to contact Hoodoo or someone that sales Hoodoo like Line Cutterz. This was the only time I was around this kayak. Cody used it in a fundraising raffle
My question is if i purchased the fin style drive and then want the prop style is it easily changable or am i stuck with what i have purchased? Is that what you meant by dual drive?
I don't, I would contact any local Hoodoo carrier & see what they can do for you. But typically I would think once you have the drive in your possession it's yours. I'd try to sell the one you don't want
In the video I stated it's coming soon. I don't know when they're starting the raffle, the only thing I can tell you is keep a look out for it. I'll also post when they start the raffle 🤙🏼
If it had a motor it would be great. I did consider getting a kayak and went to look at a couple but then I thought if I bought a used boat I could get off shore and take the family plus get there fast. Giving more time to fish. Managed to find the perfect one for $13k. And put it to regular use. I know some lads that wont do anything but Kayak tho.
There's motors that will fit in the drive hole. I had a friend that had a mod trolling motor & it would go 5mph. I like fishing out of boats but I really enjoy kayak fishing. It's so calm & peaceful...I feel more in nature in a kayak, if that makes sense. Especially going out alone, I really enjoy it. But I also really enjoy fishing with my friends in their boats, just a good time
@@TexasAllWaterFishing Yeah of course I understand. What I liked about kayaks is that I was so close to the water. But it was also cluttered. Its great if you just want 1 rod, a few bits of tackle, cooler, net. But you add a couple more rods,GPS,fishfinder etc then you boys got your cameras. Give me my boat. It still goes in 18" of water and Ive got a little tower to sight cast with as much tackle and boxes I want lol Was out for the night in Corpus Christi. Good fishing. But also shark after shark. Pests!
@@ChewingToons don't know what part of the world you're in, but here in southern california, we have several big game pelagics that are easily spooked especially with loud motors. having a kayak out in the open ocean helps landing some white seabass!
@@sk8f1lm3r Im in South Houston Tx so I do my fishing on the Gulf. But sadly we have to get offshore for deep water pelagics. So my boat is necessary to get me out there. But we do have some great fishing inshore tho. I love getting on the jetties when the winds up and waves are crashing.
I'm not sure it wasn't mine it was donated to Cody to use in a fun raising raffle. But I see several people winning kayak fishing tournament in them so I would think they were stable.
We actually recorded that video 3 times, I kept having mic issues. I was going crazy with frustration, there's several things I left out I should have said but I figured with a little research the person wanting to buy the kayak would figure it out. Plus, most people know that no one with that drive type but Hobie has a reverse due to their patten design. Thanks for watching
I'm not sure I've never used it before, I simply did a walk through in this video. But from what I hear from fellow kayak anglers that haven't had any issues with them fishing in the saltwater
One that you can afford, honestly. I would go with a major brand & used kayak 1st, 12 foot, & a peddle drive makes a huge difference. Try to test a few out to get a feel of what you like. I would stay away from a sit inside kayak, they're cheaper but they restrict you a lot. Any smaller that 12 foot the wind will push you around a lot & its hard to track through the water.
Love that I was able to help make this happen! I love seeing y'all doing this! 💜
Thanks‼️ We always have fun 🤙🏼
That's the kayak that I was looking into. I like it because the paddles underneath come all the way up. Great walk through, Great info!!!
It's a great kayak, peddle drive systems are the way to go

Awesome! Those look like really fun kayak!
I’m ordering mine after I saw your nice video. Thanks Ruben
Awesome! Solid kayaks 💯🤙🏼
Real nice demonstration. Sharp vessel.
Yes, this kayak was made to fish out of. It has all the accessories you need to hit the water
Nice walk around. Brief and informative. Now I want one 😍😂 lol
Thanks, they look like a great yak
This is awesome. Is there anywhere to find information on how we can help volunteer for Cody’s fishing program for the kids?

But how well does it handle ROUGH water though? 🤔👀

😂. Cody almost fell in. ! I bought one as a buddy kayak. It has cool features
🤣 he did & he almost broke his finger! It swell up huge 🤣 poor guy 😄🤣🤙🏼
Yes sir 👍🏾, Cody almost went in lol 😂
🤣 he sure did!
I have the Hoodoo Hero 130 and love it!
Awesome! They feel & look like great kayaks 🤙🏼
Is there a transducer mount under the kayak?
Great question.
@@Toasty_1992 yes
Ive got the older Tempest 12 ft. Are the accessory bolt holes a 1/4 20 holes?

The screws that screw into the kayak are M6 x 1mm thread pitch
@killough71010 Thank you. I figured it out alittle after i posted this. But i do appreciate you letting me know. Thanks again.
Does the pedal drive have the same kick back feature that hobie drives have?
No they don't, that's a Hobbie paten. But I know several people that hate the kick up fins. The fin breaks a lot as it gets worn down.
What's the weight limits ? They are nice seams that the other motor head moves faster trolling motor head insted of flappers
Sorry I’m not sure, you’ll have to check them out online 🤙🏽

as someone who just sold his boat. You can't compare a kayak to a boat. Two different applications for fishing.

Pretty stable on a pool with no movement how bout on open waters ?
I'm not sure it wasn't mine it was donated to Cody to use in a fun raising raffle. But I see several people winning kayak fishing tournament in them so I would think they were stable.
is it too heavy to load by yourself from the car and back up?
It weighs 100lbs, light enough for someone to handle alone.
God always bless good people and there friends and family great job God u brother 🙏
Thanks, I love giving back & trying to help those in need 🤙🏼
Does the fin drive have a reverse?
No unfortunately it doesn't. The only drives of this type that have a reverse are Hobie.
@@TexasAllWaterFishing ok thank you for getting back to me!
Its advertised as being 35inches wide on website but it’s really only 31.5!
That's crazy but it didn't look that narrow
I don't believe that. Heard the tempest that says 33 is actually 32 tho so maybe you're righ
Maybe you should have mentioned that the flipper drive is 1 directional and will not go in reverse

How do these handle in saltwater, the bays and inshore?
I'm not sure I've never used it before, I simply did a walk through in this video. But from what I hear from fellow kayak anglers that haven't had any issues with them fishing in the saltwater
Does water get in from paddling?
I'm not sure we didn't paddle just did a quick test in the pool
What is the best kayak for beinginners

Thanks 🤙🏼
It looks like the get up and go is slow maybe I’m wrong tho
I'm not sure I didn't try it out & Cody was in a pool so I don't think he was trying to go fast or hard. Hopefully I'll be test driving one soon
MEASURE THE WIDTH!!!!!
It's not in my possession lol
