Middle-aged dude here. Thanks for creating the content. Don’t mess with Texas. This is the first video that mentions Jack Daniels and a firearm! Bravo. And I learned something - coin towels seem extremely useful and convenient. One really important thing is to have cash in small bills. Keep enough to fill your tank in the event your credit card doesn’t work. But put it in an inconvenient spot that you won’t raid for some McNuggets.
Very nice kit. Putting some together for the special ladies in my life, so thanks for the ideas suited toward them. I love the idea about the wasp spray. That’s a great tip. One thing to remember for anyone using a Baofeng radio like you have in your kit. A person needs a HAM radio license to use it. Anyone can listen, but you’re not allowed to transmit unless you’re in immediate life threatening danger. It’s illegal to transmit with the radio, even on the “GMRS” and “FRS” frequencies with that radio unless a person is in immediate life threatening danger. Definitely needed for a kit like this for sure, since if you’re using the kit you’re most likely in a very bad situation, but still need to obey the law when it’s not a time like that. Thanks for posting!
Hi Jeff! Yay! What a sweet fella you are. Thank you for watching and yes we won't use the radios unless its a very bad situation, its more for info in the event we can't get clear instructions. Be blessed and I am sure those special ladies will be soooooo thankful. Wasp spray..yes...number one in my book, better than pepper spray.
Thank Jill! Great list of items. You might also consider a hat, sunscreen, and a lightweight long-sleeved shirt to prevent sunburn. Also a couple of pairs of socks and an extra pair of shoes in the event the ones you are wearing get wet. Wet socks/shoes can cause some mean blisters. I think I saw some duck tape toward the back of your table in your video, and this is a great item to have for everything from first aid to shelter to fixing a broken strap on your backpack.
Hi Terri...great ideas gal, thank you! Yes I have the duct tape and a change of clothes too but will add the socks like you suggested...thank you! Appreciate you, Jill
Everything looks good you seem very prepared. The only thing I would do I would get real pepper spray instead of the wasp spray. If it’s necessary to use to protect yourself make sure it is the most effective it can be.
Oh my goodness! Wow. I’m so glad you made this video. I’m into survival too. Omg I carry a backpack in my Ford Expedition with all the necessary essentials. Plus boots and tennis shoes. Lol. We have so much in common, my friend. Yay.
A very excellent video - I have had most of the same in my car all of my adult life! to include a bug out bag at home. Being single makes you much more aware it seems. As the years rolled on, I have felt the need to add more supplies to my car emergency bag to suit different situations I might find myself in. Thanks Jill - looking forward to seeing your garden and permaculture site this year. And the recipes!
Hi Beautiful Kathy and Thank you. Yes...we must try to keep ourselves safe at all times. Gardening season is ramping up. Its like a spring day out there right now.... Hope you are well gal. So good to see you online!
I keep a pack of baby wipes, and a pump hand sanitizer right in my driver side door pocket as well. Along with an umbrella and a coin purse. These come in handy all the time. Having a knife also within reach for safety is great idea. Good video.
Thank you for all this! It's good work your doing and we all appreciate it. I have even more than this and I'm in the city! I have a small compact car that is pretty good but you just never know how the day may go. I'm also in Texas. Howdy 🤠
Hi , I am a male . I love the Klein Knife is less than 20 usd dollars . Caution though it is a dagger in eyes of the government. So just don't carry it in a non emergency like shopping , bars .... around the knife sheath wrap duct tape or electric tape to wrap around the tampon / pad over a wound . They even have a mmmm lady pee potty if you get stuck in your car till help arrives. It is like a bag with diaper absorbance material inside of it . On Amazon.
Lots of useful items within your kit to help you or others out just in case. Maybe some coffee/tea or similar to help keep you alert and awake if you had to walk back. A battery pack/bank with USB charging cable might be useful as well . Hopefully you will never really need or rely on it but will be around if you do tho. All the best to you and your husband from CR.
Hi CR! Thank you for watching and your input! Yes great ideas! I hope we never have to use it either but I'd rather have it just in case! Have a great weekend! Jill
In my Honda mini van, I also carry a folded deer cart. I live in the country and I am 69yrs old (I’m healthy) I cannot carry a back pack very far. The deer cart with no-flat tires will carry items for me.
Last year's sneakers. Good socks. P-style for discreet urinating without having to expose oneself and squatting with pants down makes a lady vulnerable.
Hi - I would suggest replacing the glass bottle of Jack Daniels. Keep the Jack, just not in a breakable container. I know I can buy 10 oz bottles of liquour in plastic bottles in my area (Canada). It will probably be lighter to carry as well. 👍🏻
Good video 😁👍 Walmart and Big 5 Have compact 🚻 paper rolls for camping. It can save space and still have enough. 😃 A small first aid kit J&J have small kits that fit in a pocket and have just what you might need. 😃
Thank you for this video! I had something just like it in my Jeep when I lived in rural North Dakota. Now that I’m living just south of Waco it’s been long gone for some time. I’m thinking though that I could still put some of these items back into my Jeep to be prepared for whatever may come up. I too have always had my pocket sized Gideons bible with me in my glove compartment❤️
Yay Joanna! I just a bit north of you...we are neighbors gal! Yes get your Jeep outfitted with a couple of items to be safe gal. Thank you for watching! Many Blessings, Jill
I also keep two tampons in my car in case I need them also good to cover wounds . I vacuum sealed the toilet paper so I have more room in my bag I keep fire starter lighter matches and dryer lint in one bag . Great video thank you
Nice to see a kit designed by woman for woman. I would include in my car a small fire extinguisher and a tire repair kit, battery charger, small cash. These are not for getting home but maybe to help yourself in a pickle to keep your car going.
Great ideas Dr. Lenette! I add to mine often on and have a bag in my truck with a pair of clothes shoes tennis shoes and other necessities I might think I need. Thank you so much for watching and thank you for your suggestions and tips I’m sure everyone will love them take care and I hope you stop by again Jill
Thank you for this video and all the videos you share. I too live in North Texas and started gardening a few years ago so your videos on that topic are just right for me. I will be pressure-canning this year for the first time and will turn to your channel for information on that as well. I also keep a kit in my car for emergencies and the contents are very similar to yours. I've been thinking of adding a two-way radio but know nothing about it. It looks like the brand on your radio is Baofeng and I'll be looking that up. But what I want to know is what features on that radio made you choose it? Range? Ease of use? Multi channels? etc. Thanks for sharing your ideas and experience.
Great video! Although I do believe that if you read the back of the Wasp spray it’ll say that it’s illegal, by Federal law, to use it in any other way then it’s intended purpose (killing wasps/hornets). A better alternative would be pepper spray or pepper gel (if it is legal to carry in your area). I’d hate to see anyone have legal issues after having the need to use it for self defense. Just a friendly “heads up”.
If someone or wishes to do you harm, you can bet they aren’t law abiding! I’d use the wasp spray! My concern with pepper spray is if there is a a breeze, you could pepper yourself. Thanks for the tips!
The “blow back” is definitely a concern and that’s why they made pepper gel. It is much more effective in windy conditions because it’s much less likely to blow back at you.

Just a question out of curiosity, you wouldn’t be nervous even if you hide the bottle of whiskey if you get pulled over, or have everything tossed around (I’m not trying to put anything out in the atmosphere, but you know what I mean when everything gets tossed around?)
In regards to medication, I make sure I have stomach/GI related medications. Anti diarrheal (Imodium) and upset tummy (tums, rolaids, liquid/chewable pepto bismol) are what I'd add to your OTC medications in a kit. I'd also add just a knife because the knife on the multi tool is ok but not what a dedicated knife will give you in function.

@Fletcher Marshall Yup, have been watching on flixzone for years myself :)
Great Video Jill it helped me and the Wife go over preparing a handie bag for her to have with her while we travel. ❤️🙏🏻
Fantastic! ❤️❤️❤️

what model and make of two way radio was that?

Where did you find the coin towels for $15 for 3000? Thanks.
Hidy Justa Thought. I bought them about 2-3 years ago. Let me see if I can fine where I got them at! Stay tuned. Jill
Just a question out of curiosity, you wouldn’t be nervous even if you hide the bottle of whiskey if you get pulled over, or have everything tossed around (I’m not trying to put anything out in the atmosphere, but you know what I mean when everything gets tossed around?)
Hi Simply. Not at all. As long as I’ve not consumed it there isn’t anything to worry about
In regards to medication, I make sure I have stomach/GI related medications. Hi Neon! Great ideas...I will do that. I do have a knife in my truck that stays there so I am good there. Appreciate you watching! Jill
Good start! Consider duct tape.
