Weird as MOR is not missed, Engels is a steal. A real gem that has impressed everyone after just 2 games. Plus, Kuhn is on fire, Maeda is ridiculously good, Scales is our best defender and scoring goals - get him signed up as he is on peanuts compared to the big earners. Hatate playing well, Johnston playing his best football. Kyogo I love. Idah looking sharp. Taylor, CCV playing well. Bernado looks great. What's not to like? I forgot Calmac - awesome captain.
Not particularly weird to me, tbh .. nothing against the guy but I thought the cult status MOR had with some fans, maybe even the majority, was way, way over the top. I never personally rated him as a top player but obviously others much more important than myself did and we got £26m+ for him. Fantastic .. and the very best of luck to the lad in his future career. However, the fact that the team doesn't appear to have missed Matt ties in with my own view of what I considered to be an exaggerated view of his influence and ability. Engels looks a rather better prospect to me, especially in Europe . Probably no more skilful than Matt but he is stronger, has more energy and more powerful in the tackle. So have we improved as a team with the change? I honestly believe we have .. and even better we have Luke McCowan as a handy back-up!
Even at this early stage, Engels truly does look to have everything in his locker to be the next Matty. We’ll be doing well to get 2 full seasons out him.
@@ronaldforsyth4337If his current trajectory remains as it is, you could be right, tragically so! Although, I think, like Matty, it will take him 2 seasons to 'fully' bloom in to the complete player. The potention to become an absolutely sensational player is all there, it just needs nurtured properly, hopefully Brendan gets the opportunity to do that. The majority of us were rightfully seething and heavily critical of the board this Summer, myself included, but its a bit of humbling egg 🍳in our faces when they produce random gems like this out that trusted auld biscuit tin! 🤣
@@leannecampbell4551 think we will be lucky to get 2 seasons out of Engels hoping to get 2 Board done brilliant this year as did Brendan let’s go higher level now Hail hail
Great show. On the game on Sunday, I would like to see a team of - Sinisalo Ralston, Scales, Trusty, Taylor McGregor, Bernardo, Engels Forrest, Idah, Palma. If we are confertable after the 60th minute or even before I would like to have Valle, Holm, Nawrocki, Yang & possibly young Turley getting some game time
The way Engels has imposed himself on our team, he must be odds-on to pick up Celtic awards such as "Young player of the year", "Player of the Year" and "Players player of the year." A few tweaks and we have a hard task to keep him.
Angels really remind's me of a young Frank Lampard, not a fan of his outlook but as a player he was unreal and Angels looks every inch as good at 21, biggest compliment I can give him. Another point, I think this Celtic team is good enough for at least the semi's in the Europa League and think they could win it, any thoughts, would you prefer to be in there? The best result we have had in Europe since Ajax in the qualifiers, still buzzing, HH.
Given that Brendan has been criticized for perhaps a big ego it takes a lot of confidence in your own ability and the lack of need to performatively be seen to change things early but assess wait etc. Big joes point was fascinating into mature Brendan mk 2
Ring the changes at the weekend, 5 or 6 should be rested. Take no chances with CCV & Johnston who looked to be carrying a bit of a niggle. We need the squad to gain meaningful game time, no disrespect to Falkirk our squad will be champing at the bit to make their mark. 👍
Good questions 👍🏻 Here’s my tuppence worth: 1. Yes. AJ is better defensively. 2. Virgil van Dijk was better, but CCV is a close second. 3. McGregor is a better footballer.
I'm 43 minutes in to this and hearing, this is the result you get if you bring in a 11 milion player. We would of won that without Engles! Where will that team finish? Dead last? Let's see if we take any results where we are not favourite at the bookies!
Big Scales and Engels in the champions league team of the week, well deserved what a performance

I forgot our keeper, then the way the team are playing, that is easy to do - immense security at the back.
@@mappy3258You could just have said the whole team 😂🍀

@@gezobelSpot on. Well said. 100% agree 👍
Brilliant pal

Agree pal maybe 1 season

Almost spot on with this. Only got two starters wrong and I agree with you, Sinisalo should have started.
Great show today, good analysis and discussion
Remember, never underestimate your opponents 👍🍀🍀

What a brilliant show today. Insightful, intelligent, interesting. Bravo bhoys.

Why is alan not a top level boss? After all he knows everything and says champions league level managers are doing it wrong 😂
I think Arne Engels has potential to be our best player since Henrik Larsson.-you can see he has something really special
Arne looks as if he's played for years at celtic hail hail

I have a feeling he won’t change much for Falkirk. Depending on AJ and CCV situation.
Ring the changes at the weekend, 5 or 6 should be rested.

Id start Idah on Sunday too
Few questions for debate, ghuys- 1. Is AJ better than Juranovic? 2. Is CCV our best centre back this century? 3. Is Calmac better than Scott Brown?
Good questions 👍🏻
Here’s my tuppence worth:
1. Yes. AJ is better defensively.
2. Virgil van Dijk was better, but CCV is a close second.
3. McGregor is a better footballer.

Totally disagree about Kuhn not pressing. He makes clever interceptions all the time, watch him. He's just more selective about it than Maeda.
CCV definitely needs a rest
I see the DR is already tipping Rodgers for the Spurs job 😅
Not sure I'd have Palma anywhere near the first XI
I think Alan is correct, Brendan does not fully trust Palma.
Hi Sophie, I expect we will have to play him in some games if we hope to recover the money we spent on him in the January transfer window.
Dorchester!
Rodgers wouldn’t go to Spurs
I man utd eying Brendan too FFS
Taylor Cany tackle a fish supper 👀🤷🏼♂️
