I would say DB is in generally better but once you got delayed then your whole day might be ruined if you have a transit. Like said, a lot of things are not as punctual as what from outside appears.

Gentlemen. Singapore Airlines has been THE greatest way to fly for decades, not just because Buzzfeed says it’s good! They were the first to have first class suites and the first to fly the A380. Etihad is the new kid on the block.
One time while I was flying in Singapore Airlines, a flight attendant dropped some food on my dad's pants. Immediately the flight attendant apologised and wiped clean my dad's pants and the dropped food. A few minutes later, another flight attendant comes by and gave my dad a SGD75 voucher to spend on the items in the airlines magazine that is valid for one year. I know it's obligatory to do so but I was definitely not expecting that tbh, and I definitely enjoyed that flight :)
"This guy" is sam chui... and he is a famous aviation youtuber, so airlines invite him to make a trip report on their first class, and he doesn't pay or pay much much smaller ammounts.
What I find really funny is that I've flown with Lufthansa 4 times and 3/4 times they were on time, great service the whole nine-yards. That one other time was a delay that was because a plane was blocking the runway so it wasn't even their fault :L
Ollie asked the same thing as I did. When you took a shower or lying in bed, and there's turbulence, is there any seat belt in it? Will the flight attendant wake you up in your bed and remind you to put on your seat belt? (if there's any) And if the turbulence got worse, would you stay in the bed or you have to return to the seat?
ryanair will be the first air plane with those sits mark my words. just when i bought a suitcase that matches their regulations perfectly they went and changed them. i think i'll start hitchhiking to my destinations - it's cheap and the only limit on baggage is, how much you can carry in your hands.
i've actually taken a very satisfactory budget airline flight on airasia X from seoul to bangkok, the seats were surprisingly spacious AND very comfy. the flight in to seoul from KL (airasia, not X) had been quite average in terms of budget flights so i wasn't expecting much but the ride back into bangkok was actually quite enjoyable.
Watching this now in COVID-19-land, I feel like you should see if any Korean airline with a crazy first class will give you a free flight there as advertising :P
One year late but Singapore airlines was really good even though you've got economy. Or maybe it was just me because I've never gone abroad and have never got on an airpline that would take me abroad in 10 hrs before that. But still though, I loved their service.

I've been on economy with Singaporeair and nothing can ever match them. seen videos of their 1st and business, Wow! they truly make the flight experience great for all passengers.

My dad was a pilot and I started traveling since I was 8 years old. And yes i have experienced first class traveling growing up until I turned 21 and lost my privilege of traveling for free under my dad. And in the 1980’s the Boeing 747 when it first came out did have beds for first class passengers to rest. The 2nd floor of the 747 use to be where the beds are but now it is used as business class seats.
My only solution to budget airline (AirAsia as I currently reside in Malaysia) is to quickly book the very first seat right in front IF ITS VACANT! I swear I get lucky with those

Decent leg room even in economy. Even the seats are decently wide for my big butt. And when our plane was running late, they held the next plane until we got on. It was amazing.

Worse flight, RAVN airline in Alaska- to Alaska bush villages. No heat, (my feet froze in my winter boots) no noise dampening (should wear ear protection) harness style seat belts. Sometimes they just don't want to land in your village even though you've paid for a flight- they'll try again tomorrow maybe. Waiting for hours or days at their "airport" for whenever the plane is ready to fly (weather, broken plane, no pilot showed up, whatever) plus, it's the only airline that goes to your village so you have no choice. Only $360 for a one way 45 minute flight.
My dad told me in the late 80s, he was going to Bali. Turned out its overbooked even the stewardess' seat were already taken by passengers. And recently my mom's flight got delayed three times, all the passengers already in the waiting room they were boarding this plane and told the pilot theyre going to take this flight to get them to their destination. So they kind of hijacked the plane, sort of (?).
I had a friend from my old high school who's brother did that for living ..he did reviews with his company like that man on the airplane was that's pretty cool

Coworker of mine used to be a stewardess for the Saudi royals and others with private jets. She told me... this is nothing! They would have staffed kitchen to make fresh roasted food and some designed the interior like a luxury tent. Think beduin, but on a plane.
